update: well crap...my spare basket from a 750 magna will not fit !. the gear teeth count is off, as well as the thickness, which will not allow me to slide the basket onto the oil pump drive gear behind the basket. thought of changing both the basket and primary gear ?, NOPE..WILL NOT WORK EITHER !. i found a basket on ebay, contacted the guy on the phone, i wanted him to take the innards out of the basket, send me some pics of what the INSIDE of the basket looked like ?. he has it listed on ebay as in great shape, no cracks, no scratches ?, BUT DOES NOT LIST ANY PIC'S SHOWING THE INSIDE OF THE BASKET !..LOL. I i told him if the inside is in as good shape as the outside, no bad spots ?, i'd buy it. he said he would take it apart, and text me some pics later today of the inside of the basket.

and for the record ?, you can put a pro vantage 2500-s warn winch on this 700, just have a snatch block with ya, it will double the pulling power, and yank that 700 out of anything it gets stuck in.

like fish said..winch talk around these parts will be fighting words to some ?!..lol. you want to know it will work when you need it ?, or you gonna cross your fingers, say a few prayers before you push that button every time ?..there is a reason warn has been around for over a century ?..ITS NOT BECAUSE THEY ARE HIGH DOLLAR..THATS FOR SURE !. want the best ?..buy warn !, want to take the cheap way out ?, buy another brand name. which ever brand you buy besides a warn ?, just do us all a favor..1-10 yrs down the road ?, come back and tell us how many times IT DID NOT WORK WHEN YOU WENT TO USE IT ??!!..ROFL.

welcome, you can use just about any brand name plow blade on this atv ?, but where you will run into problems is for one, weight ?, and traction ?. what ever size you go with ?, you deff will need to add counter weight to the rear end to get traction. i would recommend at least a min of a 48'' blade width wise. moose makes a popular brand as well as others. the only other problem you will face is finding a plow that will mount to your atv ?. not all plows will mount to this atv model right out of the box ?, you will find it hard to locate a name brand plow that has all the mounting hardware to mount it to this model. i am by no means a plow expert ?!..i'd rather play in it..than work in it !..lol. but what i do know for a fact !, is this atv is not meant to use a plow for heavy duty work, light work plowing ?..sure...all day long !, heavy duty plowing ?, no sir..not made for it, this atv is just not big enough to do heavy duty snow plowing. your call though !.

60'' blade will be over kill weight wise for this model.

copper wire can break off easy, i use a strand of wire from a wire brush, a good yank with some pliers on a strand ?, problem solved !..lol.

normally !..you do not need to replace the keepers ?, i do not.

got bored, decided to tear into my baby, pretty sure i found some of the problems !..lol. one disk is not good, slave cylinder for the clutch is a mess, and the clutch basket has scratches on the bottom side, and i have no idea how , or what from ?.

i think you are doing a wonderful job on this build !, you've gone at it with every intention of not only doing it yourself ?, but doing it right !. get-r-done !.

sounds like it was sunk too me ?, or ran without oil ?. either way, engine needs to be split to clean all that metal shavings out of it, then put back together. while you have it apart, replace the cam chain, inspect the cam lobes, rocker faces, any damage !. yes, g&h supply ( so i hear ? ) does good work. make sure to check the connecting rod out for any lower or upper play with the wrist pin in upper area.

same plugs cars/trucks use, some brands are sold in autozone, made by slime, get the whole kit !.

haha..did i not warn you about the rod hitting the case half when going back together this morning ??!!..lol.

and the hits just keep on coming !..lol. spent a short time in a parking lot today, master cylinder on my hydraulic clutch also went out ?, got it open, sure enough, all the brake fluid was just about gone !. called cat fish, he brought me some brake fluid, i got home, still was not shifting like it should ?!?, but i got home !. just pulled master cylinder, gave it a good cleaning out, fresh brake fluid, got pressure on lever, but its not releasing from tranny ?. only thing i can think of is the friction disk and plates are stuck together ?. so, on that note, i just placed an order for a right side clutch cover gasket, all new friction disk, and a bearing. man, i can't get ahead for nuff'n !..lol. will be a few days before i get the parts ?, i'll take some pic's of the tear down when i get to that point.

most torch tip cleaners have the barbs, so most folks do not know better...but barbs and brass do not mix well !..lol.
