  1. naw my eyes aren't that good ether, at least i think there not... heres a close up pic left hand light switch, high low, and kill switch, right hand 4wd 2wd button, couple of nice looking bikes for the year models.
  2. it's got double stacks under the 671 blower, so could be route to blow heated air out of the exhaust ? if so thats a really slick design, the part that baffles me, is where is ash pan, and loading door ...
  3. it's got the right logo on the front fender .. "jeep" that's wild, i think toodeep has a honda with tracks ?
  4. interesting wood burner build, just wonder what the shop looks like.
  5. welcome to ATVH. the left one is a manual shift, part time fwd.
  6. that's pretty slick, i see it has a honda power plant.
  7. sounds like you need a setup controled like mine ... when the temp drops so far (over night) the blower fan heats for a certain time limit then shuts off, and cycles every 30 minutes to around 100 degrees (with with a bed of hot coals, n insulated furness there is no chance of freezing) then shuts off and the the heat pump kicks on
  8. well since you've quoted me---- if (you haven't already) i would contact him, and let him know if indeed he's using the same profile,(change it, and get the word out) that way more of his ?? friends won't be suckered, you might also notify what service he has his account profile with ?
  9. my thinking would its too close to heat source, check out page 26 of this thread, slammed, and jeep both had some good ideas, if you keep the furness close to a certain temp the blower wouldn't cycle off and on so much.
  10. where on the duct work is the thermo located ?
  11. welcome to ATVH, you might also start a repair thread on the bike. congrats on the purchase.
  12. welcome to ATVH. be sure post us some pics when start you mods thread.
  13. well sounds to me if you friended them, you were almost going to buy into it, i never would have text them to start with, that's just me lol!! I'm done with this, do what you wish. :-)
  14. i wouldn't sweat it, we've all made mistakes, but with your skill i think you could do this job just fine. thats a hard question to answer, could there have been some come down from the push rods, or some off the cam shaft end ? no telling. good idea ^^^ no, they dont, but they should, but i have a dimple magnetic plug in mine, they work great! this bike also has an oil cooler correct ?
  15. it was about a semi truck with a 48 foot van, but not about hauling peaches, best i recall, it involed hauling toilet paper to New York, and beer to kententky .... i have all the post saved, so it may take me some time to find it.
  16. id say with you had described the engine ran for quiet a while, allowing for the rod to mushroom on the exhaust side, then you talk extra pressure on the cam shaft, and what hidden damage on the intake side ?? not worth taking a chance, IMO, i believe fish is right, new engine, or dig in and rebuild this one, you won't be able to tell what metal broke loose from the push rods, or how much damage was done to the cam shaft, and being the filter was in backwards, ( not filtering ) and what bits of metal are still in the crank case could end up up destroying the oil pump.

the light moved in again over night, started around mid night, or just after, temps started at 35, and have steadily climbed all morning to 63, sure did put a damper on New Years, i would imagine the mud park south of me with be busy with all this rain, and warm temps, last year it was much colder... but the hoards still showed up, nothing like a die hard atv off road rider.
  19. yeah that's an old school kick stand, lol! 10 ton, i bet ? does that look like small od flex exhaust pipe used to extend the exhaust ?
  20. thanks the mod will sure be interesting to see, again over here, sure to get some attention from those wanting some really great headlights!
  21. check out the feul tank on this one. pretty slick to make it part of the frame.

now that sounds like a wild place! one bathroom for both, no door, did it have stalls ?? bet it wasn't close to being as bad as that fast food bathroom ....
  24. that's one out there forsure, very interesting, but out there...
  25. that's rough, such a nice looking low mile machine with all the money, time and mods, take it by the your other post you ran this for quiet a while with the oil filter in wrong ? you've already got some skill, and these guys are great at helping on just about about any honda issue, so a rebuild might be the way i would go, depending on cost, compaired to a rebuilt engine, just depends on which choice, but the last thing i would do is buy a new one, the quality of the new bikes don't hold a candle to the older machines.
