nah it's not the heat exchanger .... it stays warm enought in the back, as long as the panel is in place the issue was the panel was removed with a north wind blowing, this unti was installed by Sam bass, (authorized hardy furness dealer / tech) and myself, and the answer is..... Dennis came up and got some sharkbite fittings, and did not set the panel back in place correctly, but did leave some cash for the parts, lol, so it's all good, no damage done. haven't had any issue sense 97. so it's (the lay out) piped correctly. this is not a HVAC system, it sends heated water to a heater exchanger built into the HVAC system under the house. (180.000 btu.) with a water temp that will peel skin off. correct ^^^^

yeah that was the deal tbrider, (if the panel was closed like it should have been, it wouldnt havent froze) the wind got to the exchanger because the access panel was removed, that's what i don't get, its never happened in all the years (1997) I've had the furness, has me thinking someone might have been messing around up here, while was away over the holidays, but nothing else was messed with, what comes to mind is i keep a few parts stashed back there and Dennis (who rents my farm) also has a unit just like mine, i did tell him in the past, i had some spare parts ( sharkbite couplers) stashed in there, so it might have been him, ( that i don't have a problem with ). thank you quadjunkie, i love it, but it's a job keeping enough wood hauled in, lol, i have this tool, (never used much) but I'd like to have one like this, before i got the horseshoe, i used a crescent wrench, or channel locks. anyways, didnt mean to go off topic.

yes, but, it wasn't the pex line that froze, just the heat exchanger, (just left of the plug) but the main reason was the access panel that somehow, became Jared loose, and that shouldn't have happened, i meen it never has before, Bcs you had asked about a pic .. so here it is. before and after, the brass elbows are sharkbite, slip them on the pex line they seal, and lock in place, but are removable, they also straight types t-fittings, y- fitting, double -t, extended lenght types different diameters, etc.
  15. https://atvhonda.com/topic/92-service-manual-downloads/ this might be of some help.
  16. i wasn't suggesting a complete atv, lol just what i carry, but with a 2012, you shouldn't need much. just tool for the tires, unless you switch to mudlites at's then you shouldn't need much at all. except spare gas, and TP.
  17. for your trail kit just depends on how far you plan on traveling i would also consider a spare gas can, and tire pump, a small container of slime tire sealant, over all my years of trail riding wire cutters come in handy, plus a knife just in in case you get tangled with an old fence line, or twine, a lined sparkplug socket, spare sparkplug ... valve stem core tool. really, hard to say what tools you'll need, and how much rack space you have to spare, i myself just carry the oem tool kit, and a spare spark plug, and air pump, knife, and wire cutters, rain suit, matches, and a leatherman multie tool. boafeng radios. tire plug kit, duct tape, zip ties, I'm sure I've missed a few items. as for shop tools ? ha! everything under the sun, sockets deep and shallow, open / close end wrenches, hammers, air impact air compressor, long and short Phillips head, and flat heads screw drivers, plyers, pry bars, oil cat h pan, there is NO perfect answer to what a shop needs... again just depends on what all you plan on doing to the bike ? i would talk to fish on shop tools, i think he has just every shop tool a man would need! lol if he doesn't shade sure does.
  18. happy holidays turbo, bluezulu and family!
  19. i reckon here or there would be fine ? makes me no never mind as long as i get to SEE THEM! lol!
  20. i agree, we sure have come along ways!

Had something odd happen last night, the rear access panel had been Jared loose, and 17 degrees, along with the north wind blowing the domestic water heat exchanger froze, even with the water faucet dripping! this is first year it's been this cold sence i had the new exchanger installed, this one doesnt work like the heat coil built into the furness, this one works when you actually use hot water, i had already planned for such an issue with a heat lamp mounted inside the back pump area, but the bulb had burned out (just my luck) i went replaced the bulb, and used a heat gun to thaw out the exchanger, so far so good, that would have been a nice chunk of change if i hadn't caught it in time. last night 17 for the high, with temps climbing this morning at the moment, a warm (ha!) 25 degrees.
  22. glad to help, with no neutral light now, sounds like it's almost dead, what happens when you turn the key on and flip on the lights ? if you have access to a low amp 12 volt charger, or trickle battery maintainer, you might get just enought juice, in, and after that if the nut rail light comes on, then it's the battery.
