Still digging for information on this one, but it's not a johndeere articulating model produced from deere....least not stock, not even any model I've seen before from deere, least not for agricultural use.... Logging model comes to mind.

Use to be , many moons ago when I was just a go'ffer , the green Deere were farm equipment  and yellow Deere were construction , so since it looks older , I'd say agriculture , but ya never know ,it could have been repainted to look like a Deere and could be a LouGong , LOL

I use to take a needed part list for a Deer Construction machine ( yellow )  I'd be working on and fax it to the John Deere green guy , he would find 1/2 the parts that fit the green  and those parts would  cost  sometimes 1/2 the price for the same part thru yellow , sometimes I would have green parts on a yellow machine ,  I tried doing a Google pic search and no text info comes up

Yup I'll tell yeah about one front gear cover on that same engine in jeeps tractor issue thread ..... It's yellow and the rest of the machine is green with certain parts yellow like the canopy top seat hood strips etc ..... I though about that but the cab on that beast is remarkably John deere or a very close variant .... Maybe a short life custom monster they made ? I'm just not sure...

Seems I have seen a chassis similar to that , maybe a forklift at the container yard , maybe a tractor to pull a huge dump trailer  ,maybe a front end  loader base

Slick way to move track model....

Fish if i could see the front and rear.... I might be able to tell something more... Even some of bigger units like that have a pto option, not many but some do.... And it's a much bigger diameter pto shaft also..... They just don't make very msny pto driven machines that need to be pulled by what a big 4wd will pull.

I'm not a farmer , I can't grow weeds , literally , LOL < the way the seat is sitting , I'd guess the dual axles go to the rear and it steers with two in the front  , so it is a puller ???

Yeah..... Plus the direction of the tread pattern good eye..... Haha....... Sometimes weeds is all that will grow....if y ou can grow weeds your doing fine.... But when you can figure out how to control them without using some of that toxic crap farmers used to use your doing excellent!! Lol! There's a saying in the bible... But i can't recall it word for word.... So i won't post it here, but part is by the sweat of the brow.... And that's very very true.....good ol fashion yank them right up, but that's dawn near impossible with the size of some operations... But In tobacco that's the way it's done... Labor.... And it's good honest work as well..... T hing is you can't get an American to do that kind of work no longer....so we were in it to serve and make a little money, but no longer, least not here.... If you look on the pack of smokes most times columbian blend is usually stamped on, well least on the cheeper brands, the rest are so ! High in price, most people go for the cheep ones... Mine says Phillip Morris USA Richmond, VA, but it's a blend..... Because they've changed the label.... I know that for a fact.

I know a guy that was growing  the indian ghost smokes , which are supposedly  all natural , he could  use no chemicals ,  story goes ,  he filled 55 gallon drums , packs them down with a hydraulic press , the drums got sent to Baton Rouge where , that batch was mixed with another batch of tobacco shipped here from like Carolina , the two are blended then   shipped to China where they were rolled and packaged , then sent back , my  question is what are they really sending back , their trash , LOL  >>> that brand was $10 a pack before the joe tax kicked in , can't imagine what they cost now

Could be, there's no telling, .......kinda of funny you mentioned trash, because we used to have about 7 defrent grade of leaves and a the bottom of the plant were the leaves called trash .... No joke .... And yeah they went into cigs... It's not trash in what most people think it's just a grade of leaf... Usally very dry and crumbled into fine dust.. If not taken when it's in case (wet leaves as appossed to dry) raising tobacco is kind of like an art form.... It's hard to explain... And yup we pressed ours in a tobacco press... To bail it ... Then when we had enough to the sell barn it went, where it went from there ? Anyone's guess .... But i can recall smoking Winston's lights back years ago, and you really could tell those from cheeper brands, but the cost is so crazy now....i plan on stopping but i don't smoke much... But i still plan to.

Not the best pic.   Non chemical tobacco.

Actually that's a good pic, fish.... That's about the right hight just needs the blooms topped, these two show what you want and what you don't want  you see the taller plants ? You don't want those because the nutrients ....  That would help grow the bottom leaves bigger is sucked up by the smalls leaves up top, plus the longer the plant the more damage is caused by handling it... Shorter (in this case) is better.... That pic would be about three or four grades which is what you want in the type we raised here where i live, when the tops are broken off or cut off then you have the suckers to deal with.. They also suck up nutrients from the lower bigger leaves ... And that's where your weight / money is, in these two pics .... You would want the shorter plants, and not the taller plants.. So it is like an art form, and a clean field of tobacco with large leaf short plants is really beautiful! The open path you see is call the stick row... That's the lane left un planted (not set) you drive down to drop sticks... I used my old trailer and trx350 many a day dropping sticks... Those were good times! For me.

I've looked and looked it's a bogie skidder.... Apparently... The owner  took the blade and grapple off ... Added some mods.... It would do the same as the ones built for farm use.... Plus side is with 3 axles it would have less ground compaction  then 2 axles ..... And less ground compaction you have (on flat soil) the better crop start, stand, and yield you'll have... So what the owner did might not be a bad idea ..... Sure is cheeper then going out and purchasing a rubber track model used and new in close to the same power rating.... Another thing is most of those bigger horse units don't have a pto option so he would not miss not having one on that skidder.

Spent a few days on one those packing and leveling a silage pit....the one i was running was a reg (2 fronts 4 backs) never seen one with tracks like that one... The inline engine on that model is very quiet for a diesel..... Bout like the international dt466... If i recall right that model ford also had a full engine power, power shift trans, or might have been a shuttle shift.....anyways.... A nice good all around size tractor...and one of the coldest air conditioned cabs best i recall..... I'm die hard deer... Seance the very 1st time my pops stuck me on the fender while raking hay.... But being a JD fella.... They had nothing on fords cab comforts... On some models... You could even see the pto stub shaft from the seat ... Your hydro couplers etc etc ...

You mentioned being able to see the PTO shaft from the seat . Surprised you didn't comment on the pump behind that Ford  , bet it is pto driven and three point hitch attached

Well.... I do see some of it...... Doesn't resemble a slurry pump, not like ones ive seen.... Most of those that have a flexible type tube piping etc are made to resist collapsing in or just ballooning in one spot then exploding.... But a looks to be liquid type pump maybe dealing with irrigation .... Or pumping water some where's ..... Being as muddy as that place is a rice farm comes to mind, but I've never delt with rice... I think jeep could shine some light  on that being Arkansas does have rice farms or used to....I've seen them from the I-road..... I don't think I'd mind being part of one... Cause it's a muddy type of farming .... Not too many places a person could play in the mud  plus make a living .. AND help raise food.... My thinking would be because of how rice is raised the government most likely rules n regulates those type farms to death.. Being erosion could be a real bad issue.. But as stated dont know all that much about them...Mike Rowe dirty job kang did do an episode on rice but never got to the field... Just the granary and processing ..... Speaking of ..... This blows my mind... Lol! Do you recall when he did that show on the pig farmer out in Nevada ? The one who used left over foods from casinos and fine restaurants etc etc... ? He was offered (i think) 40 million for his operation because someone saw his farming operation on dirty jobs..... That's just blows my mind, and nope he didn't sell out..

Yes , I did see that episode of Dirty Jobs with casino food scrap waste going to the pig farm ----  Looks like a 6 inch centrifugal  water pump with the discharge hose coming off the top and you can't see the suction hose down in the ditch coming from the pond---- the banks of that pond in the back rund don't look like a rice farm -----   around here most rice farms double dip , crayfish is the second crop ---- would have to  guess that's irrigation
