Yep mid 40's here in the MI thumb starting Saturday for 4-5 days. Also be out whacking some wood to throw in my basement. Almost chimney cleaning time also, will probably let the wood furnace run out one of those 40's days to clean it.... Time for the 450 to get to work again back in the woods, had a couple days to rest up....
  15. Santa working up a pretty good sweat down there in the Bayou...
  16. Always a good idea to see if the battery is charging when running. It should be 14 vdc or so, if less than that might have an issue with the charging system or battery itself. Sometimes when batteries dont have the voltage needed they may start ok but when taxed with accessories, and I'm sure the winch has a large draw, it can't keep up....
  17. Sounds good shade, all downhere from here huh??
  18. Hey Ted there are numerous boot repair programs to download and fix your problem. or else install another operating system to dual boot again..... Most go on a USB stick or burn to a CD to boot up and give you different options...
  19. No you should be able to manually update your location. Go to the menu for members map and you should see a dropdown "My Location". From there you can load a zip code or address for where you live....
  20. yep you earned the name then...
  21. Nanook welcome, how far from the north are you??
  22. Glad you found your way,at least over to here...Did you have problems booting your computer when you deleted the Linux drive??
  23. Whatever you do don't give up imparting your advise on the forums, you have way too much knowledge not to share with those of us who need it. Good grief my 450 would be sputtering along right now without the help I received, just had it out hauling wood today, running like a top. You have no idea how much people like me appreciate what you have accumulated in that Arkansas brain of yours.....
  24. Hey shade, you have had a nice change this fall working on your cabin. I know it's hard work but something different for a change. Sounds like you have more to do so next spring take some time away from wrenching and finish the cabin. You can keep wrenching to keep you going but maybe not take on the full rebuilds like you have been doing. I'm sure there are many smaller fixes you can do such as brakes, carbs, or top ends. Just slow down on the full jobs from the ground up. I think you have enough of a rep in your area to pick and chose the smaller easier fixes. I can't believe you want to completely dump working on these but I could be wrong. You've just been burning yourself out on these long hard rebuilds.....my 2 cents worth...
