  1. do I see an old Yamaha back in the corner ?..750 ?.
  2. just keep the pics coming..we love seeing this kind of craftsmanship !.
  3. out ...freaking...standing !!! i'm not much for moding atvs ?, but man..i'm really loving this build ^^^.
  4. same here, been doing it for years, I use zip ties that were cut off when doing zip ties for wires or cables ?, I keep a few of the drops for this reason !. i'll bend them over after I cut them short, stick them in there, then push the nut down on top of it, it keeps the nut all the way to the top on the inside.
  5. i'll tell ya, for the most part..i always buy oem..that's until partzilla started selling china parts in a honda bag, claiming they are just as good ?, how can I stop that ?. as for other parts ?, I stick with what I've built with, namura has been good to me, all balls ?..screw them !, I've been down that road with those crappy bearings, I use boss bearings, like namura..they have not failed me yet ?, sooo..I will keep using them, until they let me down ?, or I hear someone that has bought my builds, and tells me otherwise ?, I will keep using the brand I always have been using. if I had my way about this ?, I'D BUY ALL OEM PARTS FROM HONDA !, but I only get some much cash per month, and the stuff I buy ?, is not as important as you think. in my eyes ?, i'll do what works for me. this has nothing to do with '' if ya can't fix it right ' ?, dont' mess with it'' !. this Is how I roll. how you..or jeep, or any one else here does their builds ?..ok..fine..do it your way. me ?..i'm gonna stick with what I know and do. trust me bro..i'd love to drop thousands of bucks on my builds, and put oem parts in them !!!. BUT..like I said..it wont be long..and us folks wont have a choice as to what part we buy ?..they all will either be from china ?, or discontinued !. you know it, jeep knows it, fish knows it, WE ALL KNOW IT !. its just a matter of time, and that road will end. ok, i'm stepping off my soap box now, ya'll have fun with this. OP, I'M TRUELY SORRY FOR HIGH JACKING YOUR THREAD ! :-).
  6. welcome buck !, glad ya made it..finally !!..lol.
  7. not to fond of them, but I must say..that thing is outstanding !!!!!!!.
  8. it wont be long, and we wont be able to get anything anymore that's NOT FROM CHINA !. parts are all going away from the ones we love, soon..we wont have a choice but to buy what is around !.
  9. I will tell you this, run that namura piston kit, ( assuming all is good motor wise ? ), run it, if it fails ?, send me the bill for a shindy piston kit !, that's how much I trust them !.
  10. lowered price to $ 2,200.00 , I WILL NOT GO ANY LOWER !. I need it gone, need the space, it I cant get my asking price ?, i'll keep it, It will outlast any new atv made by honda today !.
  11. yep, that's what they look like alright !!. that arm has small tin fingers that drag across those circuits as the fuel level goes up or down ?, this sends the signal to the fuel gauge. when the arm no longer makes contact to the circuit ?, your gauge stops working. most times is because that arm that pokes through the housing, that has that round pressure clip on it ( what a bad design ! ), does not keep it tight enough to the circuit board, which means it can not send the signal to the fuel gauge. this sending unit is NOT cheap if you do locate one on ebay ??. I had to replace the unit on this '88 trx350D I am restoring, very close to 300 bucks for a 60 dollar part back when it was around ?!.
  12. armor tech has been around for some time now, some of their products are ok, others ?..well..less to be desired !..lol. I've used some of their rear brake parts for trx300's, like the brake drum, brake drum cover, simple stuff. their batteries flat out suck ! ( no..i do not use them..but have seen my bud buy them ( you know of him )..and every one he's bought from armor tech always died !..lol ). honda has discontinued a lot of their one-way bearings lately, they already discontinued the clutch side on the trx350's ( old school ), still sell the starter side though !. here's a trick I learned many moons ago, that may or may not work for you ?. buy a good oem one-way bearing..say for the starter side ?, carefully take the lobes out of the old one-way bearing, PAY VERY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE WAY THEY SIT/FACING WHEN YOU REMOVE THEM !!!!!!, now remove the new lobes from the new one-way bearing, again..PAY VERY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE WAY THEY SIT/FACING WHEN YOU RMEOVE THEM !!!!. as you will see, they are backwards sitting in the cage..correct ?..simple fix, when you place the new lobes back into the old one -way cage, FLIP THEM AROUND !, if my memory is half as good as it was many moons ago ?, the lobes are all the same size ?, but the only difference is, they are sitting in the cage turned around ?, sooo..by flipping them, you just now made your bad one-way bearing all new again. if you ?, or any one tries this ?, please post back, and correct me if I am wrong ?, and if it can not be done ?, as I said..this was many moons ago, and not all atvs are the same !.
  13. warn pro vantage 2500S, roller fairlead, KFI mounting plate, then its all down to bolting it all in, wiring it up, done deal !. get the warn winch from my link, go to KFI, look up the correct mounting plate for your year, make , model, you also can look at their KFI roller fairleads while your on their site.
  14. I linked you the warn provantage 2500s (old style ) now your just plain over thinking this !..lol. I also told you, it fit a 1996 trx300fw with no problems, after I removed the headlight cups. unless your stuck on getting a cable warn provantage 2500 ?, then I don't know what to tell ya ?. both are same winch, just one is rope, other is cable, the letter S behind the 2500 means is has rope.
  15. now that you got it fixed ?, do you think your just gonna run off into the sunset ?...I don't think so !..lol.
  16. yep, if the valves are out of adjustment ?, it wont crank and run very good at all, it will run , just not as good as an engine that is adjusted right !.
  17. oh i'd know him if I see him here ?, EXPECT NO HELP FROM ME !..LOL
  18. and does this '' mile marker 2500b '' have a warranty as good as warn ?..never heard of them ?, who makes them ?, where they built ?.
  19. haha..I buy super clean from wally world, your correct..do not use it bare hands ! ( I do though..lol ) its acid base !.
  20. I think I know who your talking about !, I seen that same post on the old site, wasn't he the guy that said put a small tach on the atv ?..lol. ok..yeah..i hope I don't see him over on our site !..lol. please don't let him in here !.
  21. his sig says 1993 trx300 2wd.
  22. running hard, running with not enough oil, or oil pump fails ?. no oil ?, builds heat, heat causes wear, metal on metal..you can guess the rest from here !..lol.
  23. call it what ya want ?, but I've had great luck with namura piston kits, until one dies on my toys ?, I will keep using them, and tell others as well. to each their own :-). p.s. for the record ?, I put a namura piston kit in my '89 trx350D foreman 4x4 10 years ago, AND STILL KICKING RIGHT ALONG !.
  24. gear oil works good, thick, sticks well. 80w-90 gear oil.
  25. here is the warn winch I installed on a 1996 trx300fw, with a KFI mounting plate, and like I told you on the phone, I had them swap out the hawse fairlead for a roller fair lead. or, you can purchase a roller fairlead from KFI when you purchase their KFI mounting plate, everything fit great, all I had to do to make clearance under the front fender, the headlight plastic cups were in the way, I removed them, worked great. by the way, this is the old version provantage 2500s warn winch !!!, they still sell them,---> https://www.ebay.com/itm/Can-Am-New-OEM-UTV-Warn-Pro-Vantage-2500-S-Winch-Outlander-Renegade-715003472/401920466917?epid=525221532&hash=item5d94539fe5:g:0rIAAOSw2sZdow96 . PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE MODEL IT SAYS IT FITS !!, I found this on ebay, this is the cheapest warn in this model on the whole page, they showed a lot of these, all different prices, listings for all models, but same warn winch !..lol.
