  1. Agreed. Hate that kid's whole persona. WD - "I destroy stuff for views" Good news is that kind of thing is ALWAYS short lived. He will go the way of TechRax and others who were "big" off the drama of destroying things people love. He is/will be hated and seen for the clout chaser he is.
  2. Welcome! 300 Honda is best quad ever made IMO.
  3. LEDs brought back the night ride. I was AMAZED by the difference but I also bought some drop-in LED replacements before that were terrible. Looking to see how it turns out!
  4. This would not be my first 350D but it has been a while and I don't think I've ever put an aftermarket boot on one. I'm not going off of an eBay seller's word as I described above they were found using the 88 model as a reference. You said above that 88-89 350D parts would fit the Canadian 92 model Any particular reason you think they wouldn't fit? I already bought a bridge so not looking or any property at the moment!
  5. Another great tip with JB is to do a hard-press skim coat. Meaning to press the first coat really hard into the surface to encourage bond.
  6. You can do anything this is Amer... wait a minute 😂 I would not. The JB is easy and will actually work well if you rough the area up with a grinder and rough sandpaper. Use a piece of screen that spans the gap but only need an inch wide piece and could be pulled from anything. (Old kitchen strainer?)
  7. I think if you really got in there and roughed up the surface first then used JB (not quick) with a steel mesh screen it would hold better than any Alumiweld type rods.
  8. If those are alumiweld or another brand similar the prep work (with most things) is the most important bit. Get the aluminium base metal hotter than last time and use ONLY a stainless steel brush to clean off the oxidation prior to "welding" and you will have better results. Taking a grinder to the base aluminum first is also not a bad idea but before the stainless brush and only very lightly. Those braising rods I linked you originally would work like a charm since you can take the hinge off the trailer. (At first I thought you were doing this in place) The ones from Vulcan are a totally different beast from what you have there. The "weld" is stronger than the base metal with those.
  9. I got you! I went from the Honda part number of 42203-ha7-771 to an aftermarket replacement part number 19-5008-FO and then found that part on Amazon. All Balls 19-5008 Black 17mm x 60mm x 81mm Long CV Boot Kit https://www.amazon.com/All-Balls-19-5008-Black-17mm/dp/B019QFHRZA Edit: Amazon UK was a no-go so check this out on eBay UK https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CV-Boot-Kit-for-most-4x4-ATVs-Quad-Spares-Parts/163177459791?hash=item25fe22704f:g:k00AAOSwr6FaIYBP If this is actually the part you need it replaces a LOT of different boots and is cheap from multiple manufactures. Honda NOS parts are great but rubber ones... IDK. I would probably go with a new aftermarket one.
  10. I was going off the OEM parts list on Bikebandit and Partzilla, neither of which listed 92 as an option for 350D. What I linked should work then. That part number is the same as 89
  11. 92? Did they make a 350D in 92? This part number is for an 88 350D but I would suspect it is the same part. Search Google for this part number. 42203-HA7-771 Tons of new old-stock on eBay for around $20 Edit: If they are not broken and cracked you can treat it with Methyl Salicylate (Wintergreen Oil) to make it like new again. May be smart to do with new old-stock parts as well if that's all you can find.
  12. I think this is my biggest takeaway from this this thread but just so I am clear the rotor assembly was on the wrong side. Correct? Holes were positioned " \ " instead of " / " is the only difference I could see. Tend to agree that it likely doesn't actually matter for this application if that is the case. It would be an internal conflict for me whether to redo it.
  13. Was that Alumiweld rods? In my experience it would be stronger to glue it with Elmer's but it looks great! Nice job!

    Music

He sure does. Really talented! Movin' out is one of my all time favorites!
  15. Heads up before clicking this one has some bad language. Video reminds me of home in all the best ways 🤣 Make sure to enable sound.

    Music

It's rare to find new/young artists with that sound.

I am impressed by the diversity of music tastes from some of y'all. Would have "judged a book by the cover" totally wrong on Fish for sure 😂
  18. Great job on the pop can trick! I love fixes that for free you get a great result. Being diet you didn't even sugar spike yourself 😂

    Field Fixes

Love it! 91% and super glue are always in my first aid kit. 91 alcohol is great for cleaning a wound and super glue to close it up. If it gets you home 😄

    Weather

Mountain if you are in Arkansas and hill if in Colorado 🤣 Spot on.
  21. Being that it has 7 hours on it I would hope it's all original 🤣 I think the engine on that is really similar to my 400ex (00 and 04 models) Would have likely gotten hurt if I went with that instead of a quad back in the day.

    Weather

All good here but because I am in the mountains, we pretty much always will be. Tornado type storms go right over this "shelf" we are on as they pass over the mountain (if they are even powerful enough to do that) It has been heavy rain in short bursts but mostly light rain here. Because of spring water anything we use will potentially be in our drinking water. If someone is anywhere near a water source I would treat it the same way for the wildlife's sake. It's good that one of the first things you say when mentioning the product is that it is very toxic. Even the nastiest of chemicals usually have a proper application. Some people here have treated glyphosate as harmless for years and it really isn't. To us or to the fish. The "If you or a loved one have suffered..." commercials on repeat have done more to curb the use than anything.

Here is a picture of my tank from the XR after the fix. Great for testing the bike out before throwing down money on a new tank and easier than fitting a temporary replacement.

    Field Fixes

Hello everyone! I wanted to share a trick with you that may someday get your bike home! Not sure exactly why but it puts a huge smile on my face to see a machine break down and then be driven out successfully only because of skill, knowledge and preparation! To preface, I know this is not a permanent/correct fix and is only meant as a temporary measure to drive back home for repairs. Super glue and baking soda. Yep, I know it's old hat for a lot of you but it has gotten me out of a jam before and became useful again recently. The idea is to fix a crack in gas tank (etc). You use the super glue as your substrate and baking soda as a hardener. I start by roughing the area with sandpaper (or in the field a rock) cleaning with 91 Alcohol and allowing to dry fully. Then you apply the glue in a ring around the damage and sprinkle baking soda into the glue. This will instantly harden the glue and become very hot. Blow away any reside and repeat until the damaged area is sealed. I don't know how long this will hold gas but I know it can be at least a week. I am currently running a little experiment and will share my results as I go. Thank you for reading! oh400ex
  25. Yeah you can't do this particular job with that product, nevermind. TIG is the only way to weld fix it IMO. If you used a brace across the gap (like a strong and flexible wire mesh) and prepped the area really well JB would hold
