So what brand bearings does one purchase now? Can these front wheel bearings be purchased from my local bearing place or this more than likely be junk again unless they sell a specific brand?

Tackled the front racks. Anyone comment on whether pivotworks bearings worth the money and labour? Looks like one of my front wheel has some play. Hopefully it’s not a worn knuckle.

Well there is a guy locally selling one for $60 CDN... I revived mine for the 3rd time lol. Installed, turn key light comes on and off as exited. Prob last a month or two..

that’s all for the 300s. From what I understand only the controller from a 400 will work on a 450.

Any luck swapping out and testing? My unit is kaput. Light don’t come on anymore. Will try to bake in oven and see if I can revive this thing. I stumbled on this on fleebay for a fraction of the cost. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/272495703999 Amazon has some too but more money.

Here is the ones I got. It was a 4x4 machine with a fan it came out of. Not sure what the red connector module is for.

To wire the fan to a switch is always an option just I’m trying to avoid any extra wiring or fusing lol.

So I got my hands on this electrical connector that's off a 300 that had a fan, do not know the year - the module looks very similar to the FCU. The reason I grabbed is was because on my 450, the fan controller works intermittently. The oil light would flicker sometimes when I turn the key. If I bake it in the oven for a while it would would fix it it for the time being. The fan still works and would come, just i could tell the controller would act up now and then. This connector which looks very similar to the fan controller on the 450 but smaller. The two green connection on this are reversed from what the Fan Controller that's on my 450. Can someone enlighten me, will this work on the 450? I do not want to just plug it and in cross my fingers lol. Back stamped: Shindengen 2 pin connector labeled: HC4 TL-29A Photo of said machine.

Looked at the chart and can’t determine where I fall. History, plug was pulled out right after the bike was started with choke to pull off the trailer and into the garage ~15feet. 1hour prior to all that I was out riding for a good 2hours+. Still a bit rich? This is 2 turns out on pilot screw.

yah, no thank you. Well if it’s just the mounts that are off that’s a easy fix. I can weld. I’m almost half tempted to cut mine open again and redo the baffles.. just I’m not expert when it comes to size, spacing etc. Yah I’m trying to go as quiet as possible.

No but I can imagine and I've already had the Honda OEM treatment on a few components as I am sure you are aware. Another question I have. Do mufflers from 300/350/400 machines fit the 450? My unit is somewhat gutted due to broken baffles. If I can source a decent unit off another machine I'd consider it as long as it fits. As all my research points to sticking to OEM for the muffler.
