  1. Attached a 07-09 manual 2007-09 KFX 90 Service Manual.pdf
  2. Thanks for the links Wilson, will check them out when I have a chance. Concerning vibration, I screwed on some rubber tube under the base to dampen things out. Stops the annoying sound of the rounds rattling in the mag. That said, this is an un-scoped battle rifle. Used as a club as it's secondary function.
  3. Not finding anything on the market to suit my needs, I built this for my M1A some years back. Muzzle pointed down to the right because when riding on two way trails, it points away from traffic. I don't ride with a round chambered, but in case I forget, I put a metal plate there to deaden a bullet if accidentally discharged. I put foam in where it sits so the rifle sits snug and mounted rubber tube on the bottom of the base to prevent rattle and shock. I can mount the whole rig on either rack and in different positions. I carry this in addition to my primary hunting .338 winmag rifle in a Kolpin carrier. I like I can get to it quick for sudden encounters by a grab and flip of a bungie. Bears for example. "Jippo rigged" as my logger father would say, but it suits my needs. I have a picture on my profile page with this config on my Ruby. Downside, it gets mud on the muzzle, so I have a little polyester sleeve I put over it sometimes. Once I lost control of the old King Quad it is pictured on. It rolled over 7 times down a hill and broke the stock. Ran with a folding stock for awhile but didn't like.
  4. I there an oil pressure relief/bypass valve on these?
  5. That second vid was a great review. I use the 8 pound maul primarily with some smaller axes my kids use. Being 6-0, that X27 Sled has looks like something I need add to my collection.
  6. Good stuff guys. What makes the Fisker's maul better than regular ones? How does the mechanism on the Chopper ax work?
  7. Great stuff AK. I can't wait for one of my displays to go out so I don't have to ship something to the states for a change 😆 Do you do other brands? Polaris for example.
  8. I split with maul and wedges too. Try to get birch mostly and sprinkle in some spruce. The twisted birch and knotty spruce are tough to split. I was probably 12 when I started splitting. My old man was a logger in western WA. He'd bring a dump truck load of doug fir logs home, dump them in the yard, then buck them into 2 to 3 foot rounds. Pointed to me and said there's your job. Lots of wedging back then.
  9. I came across some beaver chew a few years back. Birch, was great stuff.
  10. Damm, two wedges sunk in. Tough stuff to split
  11. Ah, a lost piece of our society, the threat of the dreaded wood shed
  12. Just a standard fire place. 1.5 cords. I use about half of it during the camping/hunting season.
  13. Since you guys are sharing pics of your wood 😆
  14. I own Blackberry phones. No problem leaving them lying around in public. In fact there is a funny video about a kid getting robbed, then the thief giving his Berry back. Wife has a RZR 800. Bought it for $5000 and spent $7000 working on the HOS. Son has a 500 Sportsman. Among other things, he managed to bust the frame crossmember the front strut connects too. Amazingly thin metal there.
  15. Chapter 26 in the manual. Restricted fuel tank breaker looks like the easiest to check. Trying running with the cap off. Edit: added another page section.
  16. Glad you made it over here Casey and got your manual. I have the same machine and will look through my manual in a bit.
  17. My kids do that all the time. In plow season I pull the winch rope out and wind up a length of regular rope in it. When it breaks, I just tie a new knot to the plow. Gives me an opportunity to wash the dirt out of my proper winch rope.
  18. Wandered in here to see if the site was on tapatalk. After reading, I see why its not and agree. Is there a mobile app for Android? Posting from phone browser.
  19. Steering bump: when you're front tire hits a rut, log, rock at an angle and it jerks the handle bars
  20. Interesting about the reduced steering effort. I wonder if it would ease steering bump on my 2001 Ruby?
  21. Ah, thanks. I have heard of that kind of device. Neat idea
  22. I have a write up on the other forum about changing this. I got lucky and found someone who had a new tranny and never used it. Bought it for $1000. I was able to sell the old one for parts on ebay for $200. I never took it apart but suspect that main bearing was going out because I found plastic bits from the bearing race in the oil system. I didn't see it mentioned, suggest you change the oil pump while you have everything tore apart. Open and clean the oil tank too.
