  1. Well it's chappy. Just clips on over the mud fenders. Doesn't fit very flush. I was able to tuck the fabric under one mud guard. Did the same on the other side but it popped out. Don't like how it fits around the shift handle. There is velcro under the side flaps. I wonder if velcro is supposed to be applied to the fenders? Didn't come with instructions. I've written Moose to see if they have any.
  2. Found this for $50 on ebay. Supposed to fit my Ruby. We'll see.
  3. @Fishfiles has a good suggestion. Jump from your vehicle. @_Wilson_™ does too with getting a rebuild kit.
  4. Agree on Polaris. I own two and they are maintenance hogs. Square tube frames, thin metal on pivot points that cause the holes to oval out. Belt drive. Smooth operation but I'm against the whole rubber band drive concept. Since I've been converted to the church of Honda, these machines will get phased out.
  5. Smokin gun. You replaced this motor recently? Edit: my phone didn't refresh the page before I replied. Great that you found the problem
  6. Sorry, went to look for the CL post again and it's gone. Called the seller and he sold it already. Must have been a smokin deal. Note, things are usually more expensive here.
  7. I bought a 2020 TRX420FA6 DCT for my autistic son last year. He burns up foot shifters. Does this preventive maintenance apply?
  8. @shadetree how well does the paint on the exhaust pipe and muffler hold up? Seems like it would burn off pretty quickly
  9. Agreed. Given the level of corrosion, especially on the aluminum parts, seems like it sucked in water and sat for a couple years. Only thing left to do is Vin number change. 😁
  10. Meh, I hydrolocked my new V10 6.8l. We do things bigger in AK 😝
  11. I guess I'm viewing through the lens of what things cost in Alaska
  12. What type of brakes on the 05? We just replaced all the drums on my friends 03 with disc's. Nice improvement.
  13. And you're right. They should understand rebuilds take time for the reasons you mentioned. Perhaps giving them the link to your thread will convince them. Proof that you didn't run the snot out of that motor since you got the cam.
  14. Thanks Chad. Putting them on my no fly list
  15. There is a groove inside the housing the ring is supposed to sit in under tension.
  16. My son's 2007 500 Sportsman rear axle failed. The inner CV housing is held together by a spring clip retainer (second pic). This retainer is worn out and will not retain the knuckle. They are after market heavy duty installed by a PO. No markings on them at all, hence I can't find the correct re-build kit for them. First pic, I bought a used axle off another Sportsman. It too is non-OEM. This knuckle is retained by stakes in the housing. The knuckle is not removable without grinding out the stakes. Which method is better? How does Honda retain the knuckles? I've not had a Honda axle apart.
  17. Think they should honor. I don't think the positive feed back as anything to do with it. Could still be positive for handling your return appropriately. If not, let us know the seller. I use ebay a lot and would like to know who the dirt bags are.
  18. Very impressed with the quick and useful help these guys gave you. Inspiring. Glad I joined this site.
  19. Have you submitted it for return?
  20. I have an overhead hoist rail I use a come-along with. I've lifted whole King Quad 280's with it. About 600 pounds. Really don't want to try anything heavier. Works great for lifting front and rear ends. The roller makes it easy to sling an engine onto my bench.
