  1. tuned in, I've seen this happen before with a friends 3004wd ..... a few years back, i don't recall if it lost engine braking.
  2. fish that was great! that driver Purdy much nailed it! but those two trucker secretes ?? i bet i know what one is especially it deals only with bull haulers, and nope he can't say OR shouldn't!! hes also right about pigs compaired to cows.......but i never had an idea they sanitized those trailers, milk tankers yes,i wouldnt drive one those for any amount of money, at least not this day in time, no baffles in the tank to control millk sloshing (weight shifting) I've seen milk trucks pushed through red lights because of sloshing. that driver in your video knows his stuff! thank you for posting it, we used to haul 500 gals of water to set tobacco no baf in the tank, and i had it behind my old 76 chevy long bed with a 350, 4 speed 4x4 and a couple thousand lbs of johndeere front end tractor weights in the bed, and that 500 tank made me pinch the seat a couple times....... makes me wonder which weighs more a gal of milk, or water ? we hauled with a single axle trailer dueled out, should been on a 4 wheel wagon, or a truck mounted tank....... truck did okay pulling, but stopping ?? that was a new experience every single time........sigh.
  3. good old tractors.......back in day, and! yes sir, your right, bout as easy to find parts for those old tractors as some of our honda machines.....lol!
  4. thats got me beat ^^^^now that fellas ^^^^^ is a LOAD i don't think i could chance a 16ft were i had to go..... lol. i did have a very close call with the 97 she's got Carlisle tires, not like my 00 mudlites both are 300fwd.... anyways i stopped using the project bike, because well.... it's a project bike, or turned it into one.... lol..... okay okay to make a long story short, i started up to the house and it was muddy i and the load was on a hill, slowly making my way.... and i new i had to get some speed to make it up a hill, nope with those tires, back the load started to drag me tires still pulling forward, so i stopped shifted into reverse and jacked knifed the trailer and arrested the drag..... came REAL close to ending very very bad..... i stopped moved more wood to the front of the trailer and spun around went back down to level ground, and unloaded a few logs and went on with my day. glad to shaire them, @Bighanded

i kind of agree @RubiDan that's why i go mainly by ham spotters >MTEARS< i would think most states have some sorta of storm spotters network, although i could be wrong, MTEARS has been around here for as long as i can recall, the only draw back i can see the weather or some other disaster has to happen before they activate and start giving reports, radiorefrence.com might have a list of the stations and frequencies in your area / state. so i keep a handy talkie with me just about all the time, and you can get a simple hand held scanner to monitor analog tell you another known trick, listen to salt / brine truck frequencies, youd be shocked at how many road reports you'll get from them!! during the winter.
  6. this is kinda farm related and I'll quote yeah if you drafted off this train you'd get dragged all the way to Arizona to your beech front protery......and youll need to clean your vehicle inside and out.... lol! especially your pants....... and that stink from those trailers ?? the smell of money!! i like the first truck, but the blue kw is sweet!
  7. no problem! glad to help, and if i didn't say before, welcome to ATVH.
  8. i don't know, but i would be talking to the guy who worked on it before, sound like she's got some problems, and was abused before you got her, governor, carb issues, clutch or drive train issues ? yeah she got problems, that burns me people trying to work and things and NOT having a clue what to mess with when looking or trying to repair a problem, anyways hope you the best of getting her fixed, and for gosh sakes, don't let that guy tweak on that govenor rod again!! on a note my father plans on purchasing a newer cab 4wd self leveling loader equipt johndeere.. and yes I'm talking one of these new push-up button johndeere tractors, and i can't stand the thought of him doing this, it's just going to be morse trouble then it's worth (IMO) ill update more later.
  9. are you looking for a particalure brand ? or set on a honda ? 3 wheeler, or 4 wheeler utilty ? because a 300 2wd, or 4wd sounds right to me, plus the 3004wd was the most popular honda utilty honda ever produced....... and will handle what chores you plan on doing, I've had mine loaded down with over 400lbs of tools (tool chest on the front and back racks) @toodeep has a main point it's not just the engine size, but also the gearing along with other factors. if you have no experience pulling a trailer behind an atv, take your time, and be careful on hills and steep grades, you'd be shocked at what theses atvs can handle with the right operator!! these loads were pulled in 2wd, thx to a 424 kick out>>> (middle pic)

i hope the guys okay..... we just still have light rain falling, well.... now it's more of a drizzle, as the next edge of the front comes in, and temps have fallen some, but not enough to worry about just yet, we may have lucked out on this one, but i believe it's too early to tell as of right now. but it's just plain nasty and muddy out, very hard on live stock out in all this weather, it's always better for them to deal with snow, then being soaked to the hide by cold rain, even ice is not as bad as cold bone chilling rain.

i agree impressive! same here still no ice no snow, heck! it's not even really cold out, but the other edge of the front has turned loose on us like a cow p-----g on a flat rock, i don't think one could call them drivers...... lol, more like targets on the roads.... my bad ive just seen so many goofballs on road trying to drive in the mess over the years, it make no defrence to them, black ice, snow, sleet..... just to go out and have look around, uh hu, and what did it cost ?? repair bills. and luckily nothing else......

thank you for the forcast, jeep, so far here it's just very light rain, very very foggy, but still not too cold....I'd say 40-50, the main worry (looking at the radar) is flooding right now, but if this turns into an ice storm it very well could be worse then then the one that hit us years before y'all stay safe out there with limbs and trees power lines coated with ice. @RubiDan it could have been 09 ? but we had just about 100% freezing rain, hardly any snow, but yeah, had some sleet, I'll never forget that ice storm, i feel for anyone who has to deal with the chance of an ice storm every season, thank you for the link I'll check it out!

@jeepwm69 , i was thinking about what year that epic ice storm hit, 94 sounds very very close if this storm moved in from the west to the southeast (THEN YES THAT WAS THE MONSTER), @RubiDan do you recall what year the ice of the past effected y'all, if it's the same one that effects us here it's call (no joke) STORM OF THE CENTURY i don't recall the thickness of the ice but we took our lives in our Hands feeding cattle round and square bales with trees snapping off everywhere!! hay rings being weighted down with ice and frozen to the ground and having to break ice on ponds to keep cattle from getting on the ice and breaking through, plus helping the fire department saw the downed trees off of the road ways and homes had to use tractors to pull semis up grades and pull cars out, i can't believe the law actually allowed us to help pull cars and semis around, i reckon one can chalk it to how bad things got here, those days (like jeep and you) I'll never forget and hope to never go through it again!!! I'd take severe weather over ice any day!!! i don't recall how long the power was out, but there was not a chainsaw to be,located in columbia or the surrounding areas, and gen sets ??? not a chance unless you were days ahead of the approaching storm, my grandfather was on a breathing machine were he HAD to take breathing treatments 3 times a day... so myself and my older sister and (at the time) mike (her husband) went at the start of the season, and rented 2 gen sets, the other plus side is the owner of the rental place was a student of my grandfather when he was a teacher, and told us those generators would be there when we needed them..... the strangest part for me was hearing the tree, and limbs snap off, I'll never forget that sound. knock on wood, no ice but! temps are just like they started out last time, warmer then normal, and then the trouble started and went on for days!! best i recall out power for ABOUT a week give or take a few days, it was such a drastic, devastating time, you'd be hard luck to find many people who recall that much of how bad things got.

jeep hope the best for y'all, we have the same out for us here ICE, and freezing rain here, so far nothing from MTEARS. but the wind is kicking good, and it's a mildly warm rain so far.......dang sure not at ALL normal for this time of year, least not for us.
  16. yeah.... i see there being a problem with that setup, may send you a PM later because I'm not sure on what year it was they went with new air guns, and a new type socket, and now ?? (a few years back??)) ((( they have that one lug setup up??))) they had that setup working good, well heck why not just toss a wrench, and money into a fine tuned machine ???....... i used to be happy watching the races but over the years they have ruled and regulated the sport almost to death!!!, ruined it for a bunch of fans, and that BS about the garage door rope ??? I'm not EVEN going to waist my time bring that back up!!
  17. blue gloves ?? @shadetree remind you of someone ? cmanningjr MAYBE ?? lol! sure would like to get him over here!

for us looks alike another wet winter then cold and snowy so far a couple inches of wet snow, and a tad brush with freezing rain, looks like the storm shelter pump is going to get another work out this season, the weather here has changed over the last few years, no where near the severe storms we used to get..... which I'm thankful for, but the flooding storms has become very troublesome.
  19. glad to help, havie questions navigating the forums let us know.
  20. @AKATV should be around soon. welcome to ATVH.
  21. no kidding, and can a man even find one ?? lol i couldn't sell someone mine for that price when most likely the 424 cost more then the bike,....... Edit: i can't believe how high the price on these is getting.
  22. no bud i sure haven't heard about the LA coliseum it sure does sound like a mistake!! and single lug setup like Indy cars ?? nether of those ideas will bring die hard fans back, thank you for the update @m_quick what the heck is a single lug setup going to do for an advantage ? faster pit times ?AND I WONDER WHAT PERSON CAME UP WITH THAT IDEA ^^^^^^ i have my thoughts on who it might have been, but!! they still have to Waite for fuel..... on certain stops.... lol.
  23. yeah me to, but when you get THAT ANGRY from being messed over, heck um I'd might be like wheeler stomp the ever living h--- out of them and drop them in the woods....
  24. wow!! 1200 ?? @Wheeler did you see this thread ?? lol!
  25. i agree with you both, dobbers mice, and wasp, cause so many issues around here, we had a few bikes (atvs) come up to the shop just because of breathing issues, intakes almost completely plugged up, and had one honda300 2wd and the exhaust was completely packed with shelled corn, when we told the owner...... wow! did he get angry...... i use metal storm door screen on my equiptment intakes.
