_Wilson_™ 6,567 Posted September 20, 2020 @LedFTed i couldn't tell by the video .. I'd say typical cloud to ground lightening ... was super cool to catch 6 thunder snow strikes on video! so? Jim would rather have this, then then the 500 million dollar power-ball win ? guess that shows how rare this happens ..i bet if he had actually won the 500 million powerball win, he'd re think... that option ..

Freedomflyer 1,886 Posted September 23, 2020 Just a quick update for our area. I went up the Canyon that was on fire yesterday To work on small job. It appears that the fire is out, however they still have firefighters staging field waiting to see if there are any areas that will kick up again. I didn't see any areas That looked like they were still burning. What I did see was heart wrenching. A canyon that was always so beautiful looks apocalyptic. The fire was so random, Foundations sticking up where houses were, And houses in the middle of those destroyed untouched everything around them bunrt. Just wondering how that can even happen, Areas were burnt all the way down to the highway. Will try To post some pictures when I get a chance. But for now, it is out it appears, but we are filling backup with smoke after the rain we had from the California fires.

I would guess it has to be a combination of building materials used and the amount of and placement of foliage around the house as why some burned and some didn't ---- I was thinking about the very thing , I think if I lived in an area prone to fires , the house would be stucco of something that don't burn , the roof maybe tin , I would bulldoze a fire break around the house and structures and have a water sprinkler system around the house , the foliage looks great but could be a problem
