1 pointHi there folks, new member, just bought a 02 Foreman S at a NH state surplus auction last week. In pretty good shape for a 20 year old machine, looking forward to playing with it.

1 pointSo just rode it down the block and this thing is so much faster then what it was. I really feel the power in it now. Just need to get this other stuff figured out and I’m excited to take her out. Thank you guys so much for everything

1 pointChoke is all the way down now and when I hit the throttle it doesn’t bog out anymore. Just need to get this exhaust off to put this gasket on

1 pointlove these pics !!!! man some of them are beyond creative...others are just flat out cool. looks like more of these might be needed at today's gas prices. My Trail 90 gets an oil change this weekend and hopefully a little time spinning in the country. I'm definitely a few lbs over the recommended Japanese weight limit...so I'm sure I'm not getting the full 100mpg they spec..but then I don't ask it to work that hard and the little motor is only going to do what it can.

1 pointGet a hold of Brian Bertram (facebook). He offeres complete reman motors for these things. You cant buy the parts and build it for what he charges for a rebuilt engine + core swap. I ended up doing it on mine and was way better off.

1 pointThanks! I bought this one on a fluke, seemed really clean for a 20 year old machine, took a chance as it was not running, but a fresh battery and gasoline and it runs out fine.

1 pointWelcome to ATVHonda ----- you mentioned changing parts >>. Did you buy OEM Honda parts , or , did you buy amazon prime / ebay aftermarket chinese parts ----- the majority of aftermarket electrical parts are junk ----- if you did not use OEM parts , put all OEM parts back on the ATV and then start with changing the CDI

1 pointHaven't had much time lately to finish this project. After finishing the brakes and wheel bearings I took it for another test drive. The first test drive a month or so ago, I had a hanging throttle that prompted me to stop and get some working brakes. Anyhow, lost a day to rebuilding carbs (3) only to get same results. Found I had an exhaust valve that was slightly bent. Didn't even notice it when I lapped the valves. Got some new ones and she's running great. Got the ignition with matching steering shaft lock cylinder installed. Working on wire routing and headlamp, while painting the bumpers and racks to finish this up.

1 pointHmmm. You got plenty of slack on the cable now for sure. My bet is your not getting the barrel spun around enough to get the cable through the slot. That part can be alittle tough. Sometimes you can get the barrel started in the hole and use your thumb and kinda twist on it. The cable needs to turn out almost 90° to slot into the gap. I usually get it started about half way in and then use my other thumb to twist the thottle arm around to almost wide open throttle and it helps you get the cable at the angle you need.
