  1. you grease the inside of the bushing as well as the outside.
  2. you got me then ?..never had it happen to me.
  3. you may have wasted your money on all those parts ?, but its better to replace them all at once. i say this on the spending part, because the inner clutch with the weights is where your one-way clutch bearing is what operates the engine braking. the round part of the center weight that sits down inside the one-way clutch bearing, when it starts to get chatter marks on the steel ?, the one-way bearing will skip some times. also..the lobes wear down on the one-way bearing..even to the naked eye..you can not see this !. i hate that you are having to buy all new parts ?..but at least you are going about it the correct way !. and i hope your buying right from honda..and not ebay or amazon ?!..please buy oem parts from honda !, and keep this thread updated on your work ?, as others may see this, and discover their atv is doing the very same thing !.
  4. please take the time to introduce yourself in the new member section before posting, thanks !.
  5. is the tank venting ?. i've never been through gas boiling in any atv i've ever owned.
  6. i don't know much about the rubi's ?, but i do know the one-way clutch bearing does effect engine braking. did you inspect the clutch where the bearing rides ?, chatter marks ?, if so ?, it would be wise to replace both as a set.
  7. welcome to the forums. try spraying a few short burst of starting fluid into the throttle body, if it will not start by doing this ?, then you have other issues going on other than fuel delivery. also, please take a few mins to introduce yourself in the new member section, thanks !.
  8. please start your own thread in the utility section.
  9. sucker born every min !..lol.
  10. this ^^^^..is why i'll stick with manual shift, carb models !...lol. way to many electrical parts needed just to get it to run ?..NO THANKS !..LOL.
  11. if your trying to tell me i should post in that section ?, then you are a day late, dollar short !.lol. i was waiting to see if i could locate it , get it mailed off before i posted in that section :-).
  12. oh..incase ya did not notice ?, the right hand side panel has a cut-out already to grab the pull starter handle, not sure if you seen this ?.
  13. yeah..i do not know why honda left the recoil starter off on the trx420's ?..maybe like you said...to save cost ?..but they are optional on them. i also need to state that you need more than the recoil i think it was ?, there is a sub-harness that has to be attached when installing the recoil starter , i am not 100% sure on this ?. just pointing this out, and you are welcome ! :-).
  14. i will agree on one thing..if you can not get a oem replacement ?, as in..none to be found ?, then yes..its after market or nothing. i was at a friends place just yesterday, he used to work at my local honda dealership as the head mechanic, he retired , anyway..he was working on a trx350es rancher, i walked in his shop, and noticed he was messing with the carb, as i could clearly see it was all new and shinny ?, yep..you guessed it !...china !..i said..haha.china carb...right ?, lets just say..he filled the dirty word book up on all chapters !..lol. when this man speaks avts, motorcycles ?..i listen !. he has taught me more than i ever could pass onto members here.
  15. only easy way to fix this problem is for one..own a manual shift, and two..for the trx420, you can install the pull starter on the rear end like most other atvs that have them, ( not kick starter models ).
  16. was pointing out the rims are close to gray in color, thats all :-).
  17. 2wd, snorkel screams fix me !..lol. 1k-1500 tops around here in arkansas. states differ, but come on..no one in their right mind will pay that asking price..least not looking like that !..lol.
  18. and i'll ask you this...would you rather spend 50 bucks more than once, time, to send that china back, trip to post office, all wasted ?, or..would you rather buy a new/used oem carb, rebuild it, and not worry anymore ?..I KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO !..LOL. said it once, will always say it..ITS A HIT OR MISS WITH CHINA CARBS !. just because that seller on ebay does not have a ton of bad reviews on that china product ?, does not mean its a good carb !. most buyers on there wont even report back on the purchase !. being cheap is no reason to skimp on a product to fix it...AND FIX IT THE RIGHT WAY !. ever heard the old saying '' you get what ya pay for '' ?.well..there is a reason this is said !.
  19. oem stock rims are like a gray to me ?. i paint my rebuilds silver, sooo ??.lol.
  20. as i said on the phone just now..go high lifter, dont look back !. first upgrade i did to my '03 trx450fm, then a warn 2500-s winch, roller fairlead, KFI mounting plate, and one tennis ball for a hook stopper..lol.
  21. you are better off buying a used oem carb from ebay or power sports nation, or a salvage yard ?, china after market carbs are a hit or miss..most times a miss !..lol.
  22. i am not going to start deleting post ( YET ! ) but if this continues on about stuff that has nothing to do with atv's ?, then i will break out the delete button, and start handing out fines..and i'm sure you all know what this means ?., if not ?..then look it up !. stay on topic ?.or deal with the results, thats all i am going to say about this, I DO NOT WANT TO SEE ANYMORE TALK ABOUT WHO DOES WHAT, WHERE, AND HOW ?, if its not about atvs, pics of sunsets on them ?, a great ride with it ?, well..look for your post to be deleted. i'm all for freedom of speech !..but somethings here cross the line, this is an atv forum, please..lets try to keep it about atvs and what we do with them !. get-r-done :-).
  23. oh well..crap happens...dont worry about it.
  24. 300's and 450's are not the same motors.
