they tried to charge me 75 bucks to send my fenders, i got it back !..lol.

fair warning !!!, partzilla is price gauging now !!!, i know this for a fact, placed some parts in cart, next day, i seen the total jump up by 20 bucks ?, hmm..went to sight, seen what they did on my parts price ( and from the list ), said oh heck no !!, went to rocky mountain atv, got my parts from them.

been there...done that ^^^, your right, partzilla now charges a extra fee to ship fenders now. they tried that on me when i bought fenders for my '03 trx450fm awhile back, i let them have it !! ( butt chewing that is ), they kept trying to tell me they've always charged extra for oversize parts ?, ummm..noo...you have not !. i went to a site, left neg reviews on them, they called me up, said..'' how can we get you to change that bad review ?, i said...give me my money back you charged me on shipping my fenders..then i will, until then...you can kizz my grits !!!..they gave me my money back, so i changed the bad review...lol.

just placed an order for a few parts, ordered starter valve ( choke enrichment set ), handle bar end caps, air filter, rear carrier swing arm bushings and rubber tie downs, front steering knuckle parts, steering shaft bushing. still need to order a shindy carb rebuild kit, and i'm sure a few other parts will be needed as i tear it down more.

lol, i agree, that switch was used to turn the fan on, instead of them fixing it the correct way !..lol.

steering shaft and fan is out, have not looked at the steering shaft bearing yet, nor checked fan to see if it runs ?.

some tear down pics so far. cam chain is good, piston looks good so far, have not pulled cylinder yet, and checked rings in cylinder though ?. had one long bolt on rocker box side give me trouble getting out, finally got it out without breaking it down off in the head !.

warning !!!, i see your front brake master cylinder sight glass will need replacing soon !..lol.

future words of wisdom grass hopper !, most gaskets ( spec center gaskets ! ) if ya hadn't used that yamabond/hondabond on the gaskets ?, you could have re-used it from the get-go !. same goes for all the other engine gaskets IF ya don't put sealant on them ?!!, i do it here and there, have to pull a clutch cover off , stator cover off, or heck, even rip the cases back apart ?!, and i've had really good luck re-using the new gaskets !. if your very careful when you pull them back apart ?, 9 out of 10 times, you wont rip them enough to matter, or even at all ?, and can re-use them.

well, you're already a step ahead of the game, you joined the best forum on the net for help from the best members you will ever run across anywhere !. that atv is a simple atv to work on, motor design is like shooting fish in a barrel to fix.

no such thing as bored 40 over ( least i've never heard it called this ?, ebay or power sports nation for used for your top end cylinder. depending on what all you need ?, will say where you buy some parts , like piston kit, top end gasket kit, and will you need a new crank because the rod is bad ?. top end was done just 8-9 yrs ago ?, tells me its gonna be more than just a top end, money says the rod is bad. while your fixing it, it would be a good idea to replace the cam chain, or at least inspect it anyway. swing arm bearings and dust covers, oem from partzilla if you can still get them ?.

i got my refund, he said in his reply that ebay wont let them change their ad to say '' will not fit ''..hmmm...lol. i smell a sale rat !..lol.

spray it on, maybe use a soft brush here and there, wait a few mins, rinse off, watch the mud stains run off !..lol.

just snagged a used ignition switch, THE CORRECT IGNITION SWITCH !!!, comes with the dash, indicator lights, one key, more than what i wanted to pay for it ?, but it is the correct ignition switch !. don't need the dash, dash lights, just the key, got a very nice dash already.

and you know for a fact are the bearings were installed correctly back in the cage ?, THEY HAVE TO BE INSTALLED FACING THE CORRECT WAY !.

because the spring is tension spec'd, want to argue or question our answers ?, or do you want to fix it your way ?..lol.

grrrrr....dont make me take your stupid pills away from you bro !..rofl. that is the same switch i purchased, same seller...BUT !!!!, NOTICE THE WIRE COUNT ??.. the 1987 trx350D model calls for 4 wires, not 5-6 !. i got my refund, and clearly had to make the same point to the seller, IT DOES NOT FIT THE 1987 TRX350D model !.

that spring can not be re-used !!, now you have to HOPEFULLY ?? ( discontinued from honda ) find another one-way bearing. how did the bearing fall out, ruin the spring, but none of the spragg bearings not fall out ???..lol. YES..ITS VERY IMPORTANT WHICH WAY THOSE BEARINGS ARE FACING ONCE INSIDE THE CAGE !.

and what iffffffffffff...you were wrong..and it was full inside ?, then your motor locked up...how would you feel about your instincts then ????..i know how i'd feel ?..one pizzed off puppy !..lol.

i think your just learned the best tip we/us/anyone could ever teach you ?, YOU LEARNED BY MAKING A MISTAKE !!!!!. trust me, i have been doing this 29 yrs ( going on anyway..lol ), and i still make mistakes all the time !..lol. dont feel bad bro, live, learn, move on...get better at what you do..THAT'S HOW YOU LEARN !.

i've got some parts bikes to go through back out at my buds place, surely one of the '87's has a oem ignition switch ?..lol. too bad its not fenders ?..i got extra fenders !..lol.
