  15. small update: hey outlaws, sorry no updates on this build lately ?, i have been very busy with other things lately, have had a ton of things going on around the house, just have not had time to post any progress pic's or post on this. i've been waiting on some parts to come in, nothing to keep me from getting stuff done though !. either today or tonight, tomorrow ?, i will jump back on this, and get back into the swing of this !. as some of you know, i've been working on getting my brand new fire arm, and its been a real pain lately !!. still fighting this crap, now i sit and wait for MORE PAPER WORK !!..GRRRR...LOL. anyway, i'll try to get some pic's posted soon !!.
  16. side note: you will need to remove the exhaust pipe ( muffler ) system in order to get the top end torn down :-).
  17. can be done with engine in frame :-).
  18. dont need hot water, just spray it on, let it sit for a few min's, come back with a soft brush ( tooth paste brush works great !..lol ) give it a good brushing to work the easy off in, presto...rinse off with water hose..and let-r-rip !..lol.
  19. looks good !, did the easy off oven cleaner work ?...good ole '' shake-n-bake ''..haha.
  20. cam chain is toast !. top end ( rocker box, head ) will need to be removed. unless your going to check the shape of the cylinder and rod clearance ?, then do not pull the cylinder !. you will need a top end gasket kit, tube of yamabond or hondabond, right side clutch cover gasket, and a D.I.D. cam chain. you will also need a 27mm socket , air impact, clutch puller tool to pop the centrifugal clutch off the crank.
  21. cant check the rod and cylinder bore without pulling the cylinder from lower engine, wont work with just pulling the head.
  22. because its not a factory installed part, its an after market part, you wont find it anywhere in the owners manual or service manual. chances are, its either an old warn 424 ?, or a product by wide open ?.
  23. well, the chain i posted ^^^, i purchased from ebay or amazon ? ( yes..i know..i was buying from a place i tell folks not too ! ), and i checked all my info BEFORE i made the purchase, it is, was..THE CORRECT CHAIN !.
  24. no, they do not '' re-set '' . but !..what can and could happen, is the oil temp cooled down enough to trigger the fan control unit to allow the c.d.i. to fire the c.d.i. ?, or..you just have a bad c.d.i ?.
