ever think that, just because it has the name '' honda '' on the bottle makes it better than any other wet clutch approved oil ?. i never bother reading the spec's on atv/motorcycle oil ?, but if i had to guess , i would almost bet every bottle that reads '' wet clutch approved '' has the same chemicals inside !. my .02's worth: just because it has honda GN4 or whatever on it ?, does not make it any better than mobil, castrol, supertech, or any other brand ?, what it does tell me, is its gonna cost you price wise more !. we all go by the name these days..sure..we all have '' OUR '' brand we like..this is a giv'n !. i dont care what name is on the bottle ?, what i do care about is...WAS/IS IT MADE TO DO THE JOB I NEED IT FOR, AND DESIGNED FOR ?!.

that rust will come off for the most part. as long as its not inside where the magnets are ?, your ok. also keep the rust away from your timing marks and pick up coil tab.

ok, clearly you have a spark issue, compression issue, or timing. have you tried a new spark plug yet ?.

please do this small test: take a can of starting fluid, spray a short burst into the back side of the carb, if it '' hits '' for doing this ?, then its a fuel delivery issue into the intake from the carb. if it won't '' hit '' from doing this ?, then its clearly a spark issue ?, or compression/timing issue ?.

i would start with some fresh diff gas, a new spark plug. also check the timing through the timing inspection cap. we should have a service manual for your model listed in the service manual section :-).

my question is, what and where did you purchase the new petcock ?, is fuel flowing good to carb ?.

the reverse lever calls for a thrust washer as well as the kick starter shaft, AND THE CLUTCH ARM ALL ON THE OUTSIDE END :-).

i dont see the thrust washer on the clutch arm ??.
