  2. haha..gotta keep him on his toes !!..rofl.
  3. i think we're gonna put your butt in the time out corner ---->. what do you mean where does all those o-rings go ?..you taking some of fish's stupid pills ?..rofl. as for that busted spot ?, dab some yamabond over and under the gasket when you install it right there, should be fine, seeing how its not on the bottom area.
  4. i'm waiting to see how bad that little trx400 motor is gonna strain to move this thing ??!!..lol.
  5. haha..honestly, i keep forgetting that tiller handle !..lol. i even forgot to take a pic of a sport bike when i was there yesterday ?. i'll be back out there today, picking up a few items for this '90 trx300 2wd i brought home yesterday, will do my best to see if we can come up with that tiller handle !.
  6. well then, your carb jets are way off then !. i normally dont see that kinda carbon build up unless the rings are badly worn ?, valve guide seals are worn ?, or the jets are off big time ?, timing can effect it too, didn't you say the timing marks were off a tooth or so ?. timing ( on all my builds anyway ! ) have always been dead on !.
  7. he does not live far from me, i am in north little rock,ar. we dont ship !..lol. i was there today, but sure forgot to snap a pic, sorry..had a lot going on out at his place today, totally forgot !. i think its a 2008 trx400xx ?, i'll try to get a pic when i go back out there, being old..and being busy at his place takes its toll on me !..lol.
  8. i bet a lot of that carbon is from worn rings ?, or bad valve guide seals ?. any bets ?...lol.
  9. haha..your not being a hassle..maybe lazy ?..but deff not a hassle ..rofl.
  10. dont you have a service manual ???..lol.
  11. no, that gear at the top of pic, with a rod through it, thats your reverse idle gear. pull the rod with the shift forks, then pull the transmission ( main and counter shafts ) try to lift them out together as a set, there is washers on the very bottom of both shafts !!!, then pull the shift forks out, all that should be left in the case is the crank, and idle gear right next to the crank, leave those in the case.
  12. if your a big guy ?, that 250ex will be too small for you. you would need at least a 450r, 400ex. my bud has a newer looking 400ex, or 450xx ( sorry i forget..not much into sport atvs..lol ) needs some work, can't get fire to it ?, but i have not spent alot of time with it also...lol. it could be a good bike once fixed, i do not know what he wants for it ??, but i got to go out there today, i'll take a pic of it, and post it to this thread :-).
  13. when ya get to that 350 foreman ?, you can holler at me for engine parts or what not, i'm sure my bud has what ya need :-).
  14. those stupid 13 yrd olds keep us in bizz !..rofl.
  15. once all the tranny parts, reverse idle gear is out, just hold the case upright, spray it down a lot, blow it out best ya can with air. i see no reason to pull the shift drum out, leave it in there.
  16. incase ya dont ?, my thinking is a short some where between the battery , and the ignition switch. maybe trace from battery to the two fuses, all in that area , you have a hot wire touch frame ?, or something from battery to reg/rec is not hooked up correct ?, or the ignition switch is grounding out.
  17. make notes as to where all washers are !!!!!..lol.
  18. i don't recall if this has been tested by you or not ?, and i do not even know if it can be done ? ( surely it can ? ), but have you tried hooking 12 volts, say from directly from the battery, or a car battery straight to the fuel pump, and see if it works that way ?, at least it will rule out if the pump is even good ?!.
  19. no..jeep could buy a atv every day..for the next 10 years..and never even scratch the surface of what cat fish has !!.. here's a few pics i took just the other day..and these are not even a 1/8 of what he has on his property !..rofl.
  20. if your smart ( and you seem to be ! ) you should buy that pump from ebay, get the bracket, have a spare pump !.
