  1. good pic !, but i know how they are made...sigh..i need a life huh ?..lol.
  2. first thing: remove the brake cables from the brake cam arm !. second: take a mallet, hammer, whack the brake arm backwards a tad or two, try to center the brake cam/shoes to allow the brake shoes to clear the brake drum ?. if the shoes are spread out from the brake cam ?, they wont allow the drum to slide off the axle, so you must first make sure the shoes are compressed inside the drum before you go working on getting the drum off the axle !. and make sure you got the o-ring out from around the center of the brake drum/axle !!!.
  3. yes, the shock does help hold the rear end up, but !!, it wont allow you to level the swing arm for a straight stab at the output shaft ?, but still..having a jack under it will help hold it up..your right..it is heavy !..lol.
  4. why would you do this ????. there wont be anything to keep water, mud, snow, whatever ?..from getting to the rear differential now !.
  5. last pic ^^^, what are these bearings installed into ???, that does not look like anything on a 300 that i can tell from ??.
  6. installed a brand new battery from my local honda dealership in my '03 trx450fm, mowed back yard, got a chain saw for a friend running again..then i'm sitting on my butt, helping atv owners fix their atv !..lol.
  7. you cant !..lol. you must pull the shaft all the way out in order to replace, get at it. which means, you also must pull the right side cover, or..risk trying to get the shaft to line back up correctly on the shift arm on the clutch side.
  8. if the brake cam is seized ?, it will take a hammer to move it back and forth !..lol.
  9. have a look ---> https://www.partzilla.com/catalog/honda/atv/1989/trx350d-a/kick-starter-spindle , 16,7, 16 , 8 is the order.

  14. break down of return spring---> # 20. https://www.partzilla.com/catalog/honda/atv/1986/trx350-a-fourtrax-4x4/gearshift-drum . left side :-).
  15. ummm..no bro, the return spring for the shifting shaft is on left side, right under the ratchet paw wheel.
  16. did you have a look at the swing arm bearings ?, now would be a good time to replace if they are bad ? while your having to drop the swing arm !.
  17. sounds like you made progress...other than having to wait on the parts ?, your doing great !.
  18. welcome. when you say you replaced the shift motor, and it came with an angle sensor ?, then this tells me, that shift motor can not be oem from honda ?, reason: honda shift motors ( that i know of ? ) do not come with anything but that shift motor, the angle sensor part is separate, which then tells me, you did not buy these oem parts from honda ??. you had the right idea replacing parts ?, but you went at it the wrong way by cheaping out, and buying china junk parts from amazon or ebay.
  19. the wedge section of that king pin bolt must line up with the sinch bolt on the side of the knuckle, this keeps the bolt in place when installed.
  20. those caps are useless !, they dont keep anything out of there, all they are for ?..looks !..lol.
  21. AND YOU GOT YOUR WIRES BACKWARDS !!. green is ground, black/blue ( oem ) is power !.
  22. i could fix that fender !, but you would lose the decal/stripes from painting..lol.
