  1. I have a Warn winch and I assume Warn plate on my Rubicon. It was all the Honda kit. I remember with the new Rubicon's came out there was something I didn't like about the KFI mount, not sure if the winch had to be reversed or mounted upsidedown or what it was. Anyway, dealer installed mine before I bought it, so I never messed with it at all. It also has wire and a roller fairlead. I should change it to synthetic cable, which I prefer. It's much safer than steel cable. I do like the roller fairlead over the Hawse style though, I really think the Hawse style is a joke, but that's just my opinion, and apparently @shadetree agrees with me which is somewhat rare....lol
  2. Take a break. Do something else. No fun in wrenching all the time, have to enjoy the fruits of your labours some. Life is too short to be doing things you don't enjoy, everybody can get burnt out. I haven't had any major projects going for some time now, I did that hooptie 300 last winter but that's been about it. Doesn't bother me much, if I want a project I'll go buy one. Simple as that lol.

    Music

My musical taste ranges from Slipknot to Alan Jackson.....lol I don't like rap much, especially the new stuff, I could at least handle the older stuff but I don't know how what they are making now is considered music of any kind.
  4. Sounds like my shop and why I'm not sharing pics lol I need a week to clean the place out first. Like I said I haven't been able to get there to work much and it's becoming a catchall for everything I don't feel like dealing with at the moment. lol
  5. We don’t have Ace or Menards up here. Even Lowes is pretty scarce, only in the big cities.
  6. We don’t even have that option lol Sears went bankrupt and left Canada all together. Gone. I know Stanley or their parent company owns the craftsman brand now and I think Lowe’s carries craftsman up here. I think there is one 5 hours from here maybe? Do they still honour the lifetime warranty or no?
  7. I think the front kit can be had for it. If you are on the Honda 300 Club Facebook group send a message to a guy makes Gordon Mobley, he is one of the admins. I know for a fact he was selling them at one point I don’t know that he still is. But he might know someone else if it isn’t. Also, does anyone know if the front spindles and all could be swapped from something like a 300EX to give you disk brakes on the utility 300 2wd? Might be worth looking into.
  8. yeah still for 4x4 models though, the brake setup is a little different between them and the 2wd. and the reason you have to run 12" wheels is because if clearance issues with the calliper.
  9. and the front kit only lists 4x4 models unfortunately.
  10. Does NOT Fit: Models with drum brakes on swing arm 2014+ 420 Models 2014+ 500 Models So that would include the 300.
  11. It's too bad that anything Sears/Craftsman isn't worth a pinch of coon ! now. Sad really, I have a lot of craftsman hand tools from the 70's and 80's that are good quality. Look for them at yard sales. I hear ya on the multiple shops thing Toodeep. We have 3 here on the farm. Seems like whatever you need is always in another shop lol
  12. I'm looking on SuperATV's site, I don't see any front or rear brake kits that would fit a 300 2wd. Got a link to them?
  13. Getting older? I think that ship has sailed old timer. hahaha
  14. I've thought about buying a cheap one but I figure if I'm going to buy one it might as well be something good. Just keep putting it off. The stick can do most things it's just not that handy. They are good a lot of times for welding on bearing races so they will shrink. That trick has gotten me out of a lot of binds for sure.
  15. Vertical cut isn't really hard on the chain but they aren't meant to cut that way, it's either one or the other. Standard cross cut chain or ripping chain. They should cut vertical though just not that great. I remember one time I was trying to get a shot on a marker down a line I was cutting, using the total station which only works on line of sight, not GPS, anyway there was this big SOB of a tree just on the line in my way, I didn't really want to knock the whole thing down so I just took about 6" out of one side of it vertically and got my shot. lol Took a bit of time to do but it did cut it.
  16. I think they did for a time them gave it up. Not sure. Worth a look.
  17. Cordless electric tools such as ratchets and impact guns are becoming a big thing for me. But to be honest I haven't been working in my shop as much as I used to. If I had to pick my top 5 most used tools other than what I've previously mentioned (in no particular order).... Vice Bench Grinder Drill Press Cordless Grinder Lathe I'd like to have: Shop Press. probably 50 ton range if not larger Milling machine, manual ok, CNC would be sick MIG Welder, yes really, all I have is a stick lol Plasma cutter or plasma table, that would be cool. ATV lift. I guess the more basic wrench turning repairs are starting to loose their lustre LOL Need the more advanced stuff to get me excited.
  18. Assume your 300 is 4x4? Is anyone making kits for the 2wd now, thought Gordon Mobley on the FB groups was for a short time.
