Had to swap out the china carb with another china carb.. I know I know. It was flooding so bad gas was coming out of any port that it can. Gas in the vacuum hoses and was in the intake port of the head. Changed the oil and filter also. Now that I have a parts carb, I can repair my oem unit. Need to grab a new spark plug and swap it out. Need to take 1 rear tire off and put a tube in. Goes flat over night. there are so many cracks in the tires I am just trying to get them by for a little while longer. Tread is great which sucks.

As posted in my thread, my middle son and I have gotten our first buck of the year. The 1st and 2nd week of November here in NC seems to be the best to hunt for me. The rut is always in full swing. I've killed a buck the same week both this year and last. Bear season came in Monday so now everything is in . Yotes have gotten terrible here and any deer hunt that a yote shows up, it turns into a yote hunt. We saw 2 that killed a fawn last month and I couldn't get them in range to shoot.

Just saw a picture of a SxS with plates rolling down the bypass here yesterday. They said he was driving stupid.

My 2nd oldest has wanted to get into hunting for a while. He used the Savage .223 bolt action I bought the boys last Christmas. On October 23rd he shot him in the neck at 200 yds and he melted!! A happy dad moment to say the least. My buck I killed this morning. Only had a few cam pics of him and no pattern what so ever. He came out at 635 this morning and had to wait till 735 when he came chasing a doe 80yds from my stand. It was hard not to shoot him but the property he was on wasn't mine to do so. He is a 10 point and would of been a 12 next year as he had some kickers starting up.

Would love to take this one for a mount.

It's 4wd and a dif lock but the front left tire didn't seem to lock in. He has only had it 2 years this Christmas. I found it weird all 4 wouldn't spin.

Father in law found some soft ground the other week. My mother in law was amused 1 bit lol. He tried to use his MF 4243 to pull it out. Couldn't walk it out with the bucket either. Luckily he had a guy digging out his pond some more and he pulled it out no problem with a JD excavator. I had just had a guy cut my roads for me. I know where not to take my truck!

Still hot as a stolen catalytic converter at the junk yard right now. Literally can be standing there and feel ok, 5 minutes later sweat is pouring off me. Had a guy hand me a few packs called Sqwincher's. They are concentrated electrolytes that you tear the top of the pack open, add 6 ounces of water and drink. The grape ones are pretty good. We drink a lot of water at work all day. still doesn't seem like it is enough.

We still have plenty of sunshine during the winter. Nothing like a good nap in the deer stand, cold wind blowing, sun shining in the windows, chair reclined back...

Friday evening it rained 4 or 5 inches in a matter of no time. Now, Monday evening ,it's 5pm and a heat index of 100*. Heat has been the worst I can remember since July 4th. I've always had an outside job since I was 13 working in the tobacco fields. BRING ON FALL AND WINTER!!

Are there not any RV/Camper lots around you? Ditch the CL sellers.

That's just me. I mean my Chevelle has a 1050cfm carb but with time I will convert it to EFI.

Glad you are doing better Fish! take it easy and follow the Doc's words. I smoked back in my parting days. I saw the only way to quit was to change my ways.

We have a 30k miles F350 V10 at the shop now. Not under warranty and the Ford dealership says it needs a motor. Needless to say we have a V10 crate motor on the floor in the shop. They like to spit out spark plugs also. Not sure if they have the timing chain problems of the 5.4 Triton motors or not. I think Ford put 2 different trans in some models, 1 built for towing, the other not so much. The 460, I guess that would make it Carb'd. I personally would not but a motor home with a carb unless you like working on it. Guessing this might have a C-6 trans. Possibly no overdrive?? The 454 has been around for a long time. Not sure what year you looked at a TBI or Vortec model . The vortec models were bad for fuel pressure regulator and injectors leaking. I've replaced my fair share of them but has been a while. This should have a 4l80e trans which is a good one for pulling. The later models were the better. TBi could have a TH400 or an early 4l80e in it.

Woke up at 430 to take my oldest to drop off for summer camp. Headed in a few to meet my mom and dad for lunch. Enjoy the day!

Had a few roads cut and drove them to see how it looks. Of course the battery was dead. Time to get another battery.

I have read a lot on the Thor 4's and I believe that is the route I am going to go. Had a good size one walk by yesterday in daylight on camera.

Yep, they gave me a discount when I bought mine! I will say, I am not happy with the way my rear disc works. This is my link from when I replaced mine.

Only seen 1 cooperhead and a few black racers this season so far.

Meat has been scarce around here. Glad I still have plenty of deer meat in the freezer.

Thanks Fish! I had gone back and pulled the number on the current shoes. Crossed it and it came back to the ASK set so that is what I ended up ordering from Honda.
