  1. Just looked at instructions closer. The one pic showing it like I did it didn’t specify side but was oriented for right side I believe. They had them flipped per above on the actual instructions for each side. I don’t think it matters and likely won’t change them. On cars the holes and slotting is not needed these days. In old days it was needed to let gases escape for hard braking. New formulations of pads don’t need that anymore. if holes are anything other than bling it’s for water over gases. I think in water grooves would function better.
  2. They’re reversible so I could put either side either way. I think the centrifugal force of tires spinning would fling it away. It’s just holes for bling. Not sure if it’s for water or not. Might be
  3. it’s how I’ve seen them on cars but I don’t think it matters. Didn’t read close enough to know if it told me but instructions were very good. just looked. Two pics. Both have different orientation. https://www.superatv.com/amfile/file/download/file/5091/product/5005/
  4. yep and the brakes were a stretch purchase. Should have just replaced wheel cylinders and called it good. 😞. Wife hasn’t said anything. Yet. Lol i did check the front tires after final assy. The hubs are rock solid for now.
  5. I looked at used hubs. Powersports Nation wants like 80 bucks for a used one. Ones on ebay are varying in cost but the cheap ones look no better than mine. Rocky MOuntain ATV has new hubs/bearings/seals(and I think a ball joint) for like 145. When a used hub is going for 75-90 and the honda bearings are 35 each plus seals....the 145ish for a new assy is looking pretty good for a way to go to fix it.
  6. Thought about it...but figured I'd try Alum can first as it was suggested above. Someone on my FB feed said I should have floated it in JB Weld. . If the alum smashes out, I'll likely replace the entire assy.
  7. Grinding was a bit more excessive than directions let on.
  8. making up for years of abuse before I bought this one.

We got lucky and caught some northern clusters of her. Lightning. Some heavy rain. Just what area needed to finish off crops. She got here about 30 min ago
  10. Left side on. Hub with pop can feels rock solid now. Will see with tire.
  11. I pulled worst of 2 bearings back out. Cv shaft in place. It slid out easy with my fingernails. Measured compared to what i presume is A original Honda bearing I pulled out(no seals) and od is identical. presumption is spindle is shot. Will order one here at some point but issue for the winter. drinking can of diet mt dew now for intermediate fix hopefully. Lol

We are due for a bit of rain later. We need it. 3” along KY-IN border I guess. We are about an hour north of the border
  13. Tracking lights tonight. No power to plug under front fender. Pulled tank. Put old light switch on to check if old one worked with LEDs. It does. Brought it to bench and dismantled it as it’s old and faded and tired. Found this under tape. brown and black wire appears to T up in switch in an ugly manner. Yellow and red wire stripped too for some reason(I think push start switch was cheap swapped at some point from another unit). checked eBay switch on atv. No power from switch to led harness. I think from wiring I should have power if I’m reading it right. Think that the used light switch is bad on used item I bought.
  14. Previous owner said mine did that...then he did something and it was fixed. He was disappointed.
  15. Number 4 and 5 are there on mine. I hooked them back up. Yah, lots of self tapping screws. I hope to pull them out and put the proper pop rivets back in...but they drilled extra holes, so we'll see.

Stay safe. Just took the dog for a walk between meetings. The only moisture we have is my ! sweating on that humid walk.
  17. Fakenews. @_Wilson_™beat me to it. I think they're like flat seals of some sort. I'd like to see a pic.
  18. !....rereading this thread. A few ideas on the lights I hadn't seen Thanks guys. I'll trouble shoot while I"m putting the new brakes on.
  19. It sat on those mudflaps for 9 weeks gradually settling...so suspect that's why they are closer on one side than the other. The left one is chewed up a bit at the bottom. I'll take a look at tying them back to the running boards. There is a plug up under there that I plugged in. It is the factory harness 3 pin? connector that connects to those lights. Gotta see if there's power there or not. If not, start backtracking. Can you get to the left handlebar switch plug with the fender on? Its mounted to the top of the frame. Not sure...haven't looked at it yet. I did not know you could buy a headlight pod/kit/thing. Not quite following exactly what you're talkign about. You talking about something that actually moves the headlight above the rack more so it'll see over stuff mounted to the rack?
  20. Will do. Figured I'd start with the basics first. Wish I'd have figured it out before fender went on....but somehow I'll manage! I', 75% sure they came on before I pulled the fender off when I bought it.

Good luck everyone! Keep us posted.
  22. Good to know. I got tired of ordering them a handful at a time on RMATV so I bought a bag of 100 on fleabay. Not sure which thickness I got. Hopefully the 10 mm! I have some identical Nissan clips, but they appear to be 'shallower' for holding thin plastic together so only somewhat work as a substitute when I run out.
