  1. listen to the guy. And don’t buy Chinese parts. It’s an unforgivable sin
  2. 3000. All need work but 2 have titles. Seems too expensive. Maybe 2000-2500 for set.
  3. I say casting flaws as well. These are made from Die Castings. The alumimum forms that type of feature when it cools in the mold. I had that fear on mine in a few places but looked and they looked like flaws. Do you see the same mark in the same spot on the back to say they are a thru crack(I don't think they are cracks). I just looked at my 450 rebuild thread this summer. I have flaws but not as many as you. I'd say it was cooling too quick in their mold but I'm not an expert. I'd put it back together and be careful of the clutch cover. It should go together lovingly but not need a hammer.
  4. Looks like there might be 3 Honda Take off Carbs on Ebay. 70 dollar range.
  5. Welcome to the site. Good luck with the cleanup! 😞
  6. Welcome! If you bought that beat up and fixed it up. I'd say you did a good job! I just got my first ATV...had wanted one for 30 yrs. Its a Utlity but these guys helped me get it running.
  7. Welcome to the group. I know what a sine wave looks like and that looks somewhat OK. I'd go through the trouble diagnosis shown above in the service manual. I have a little spark tester I use or you can just hold the plug against the head(I can vouch saying it only hurts a bit if it decides to ground through you).... The little window tester I have is a bit less stress and works great. My favored tester looks like this...
  8. I rode around with my uncle in one of these. My Grandpa had an identical one, but 4430. LIkely the last tractor he ever bought. I was there when they brought home his new to him 6620 TURBO<--(yah, they were proud of that back then) Combine and my grandma went German on him. She was MAD.
  9. I texted him. Will see if he still has it I'll let you guys know what I find. Says he still has it. Its further from me than I thought...but do-able.
  10. https://cincinnati.craigslist.org/snw/d/west-chester-85ish-honda-foretrax-250/7192865222.html She's a peach.... I assume any potential 'flip' would want to have decent plastics as they are pricey to replace. What else do you look for in one you are thinking of flipping?
  11. This is an awesome looking ATC from my youth. I think I went and looked at one for 800 bucks back int eh day but it sold before I got there. Another option to cause that damage if you don't think its been sunk is maybe the carb went lean and they were running it hard and spark knocked it to death and it overheated the piston. Spark knock would be the flame front impacting another flame front and it would cause that 'sand' to form on top the piston and I can only imagine the head would look the same too.
  12. It'll be a while before I get back up there. He has a lot of yellow and black tools so I think he just bought the implement itself I have the same so I'd just buy the saw itself.
  13. His is a 20 volt version. Would be handy as ! for tree trimming. I think his has a 16” bar. If you use it for trimming 2 or 3” at most I think it would be fine. He tried using it to cut a tree in sections. After a while he went and got his big Stihl(I have a 20” Farm Boss. His is bigger yet) And it cut it like butta i am in need of a small one here or fix my 025 Stihl and I have contemplated one
  14. I have used my brothers dewalt version of this. It’s scary as there’s no motor sound to warn you it’s dangerous. Brother has gotten used to it though. Throw it in his UTV to clear stuff that blocks his trails. I used it to trim some stuff here to. It’s handy.
  15. That sliding cab is very cool.
  16. My brother does similar. He is a mobile mechanic for a local company up north that started out working on equipment in the big steel mills up there. As his work ethic was good, they moved him to mobile mechanic with a service truck. He has been to Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Alabama, and Texas and is pretty constantly working in Illinois. He was in Alabama several times last winter before the 'Rona hit. His latest project was/is this monster. Its the biggest I've ever seen him work on. Typically its down in the 15L and lower size range. The crap he's touching seems to be getting bigger. Dunno what's changed but good for him. My guess is his companies clientele is growing due to the good work/reasonable prices they charge. That's a Cat 379B I guess. Looks to be a 32L engine.
  17. Was going over some of push pins in my foreman and found one with a hole in green plastic that was too big to hold pin. Did this. Not sure if this is a hack you guys do or not. 5/16 flat washer on back side. I am finding several pushpins not holding tight and washer is cinching them down again great.
  18. I had G&H do my bore out. Not sure their full capabilities but someone here recommended them http://www.ghdiscountatvsupply.com/

    Firearms

as long as it’s smith and Wesson it’ll be worth something. I have a South American knock off of a snub nose 38 and it’s not worth much but it was given to me by family.
  20. 2 pages and you ain't bought it yet? FYI: In my area. A 1000 dollar four wheeler would have been gone in less than 4 hrs.
