  1. Its very handy to have. Brother flipped it forward. NOt sure if I like it like that or not.
  2. Have about 11” of snow on the ground. Huge for the area. Pulled kid on sled with the 450. tires were throwing impressive rooster tails swerving in snow
  3. Welcome to the forum. My guess is you'll be plowing this field as the first one. Look forward to reading about it. Good Luck!
  4. Welcome to the forums! I had a plane ticket to fly to Saltillo(close to Monterrey I believe for those that don't know) once but health issues grounded me. Was to travel to the Dodge truck plant there. Great pics!
  5. This seems to indicate he's in the right stratosphere...but I think I'd offer 4500 if you're looking. Then do all of the things these guys say to keep the transmission alive!
  6. ON a business trip years ago I went through a museum in Chatham up in Canada. About an hour east of Detroit I think. They do high end restorations and have a small museum. Very cool cars inside. Some 30's hollywood cars are there. Duesenburgs and such. Very cool
  7. Me on the roadcourse probably 10-12 yrs ago....that's the heritage of my screen name.
  8. I bounced from Craftsman to Craftsman years ago. Gave up on them when they switched to 'Craftsman' branded engines. Believer in Briggs...but in 2010 the EPA forced them to put catalytic convertors on their small engines. I have a Toro Personal Pace mower I bought for a 100 bucks from an old guy. Don't know the year...but it predates 2010. Thing runs great. So far, no issues. The deck is aluminum and parts are readily available for anything on it. Every winter I run the tank dry. Became a firm believer in it when we pulled a tiller and a 80s pushmower out of my wife's grandpas barn after they both passed. Both fired up with gas in the tanks both were run dry. It was amazing. Anyway, that's my experience. I'm sure Honda's are nice...but I still use the old briggs. I have a new briggs on a walk behind weedeater thing by Husqvarna. Runs like crap but it may just be the fact it needs fixed up....not sure. It belches smoke til it warms up...then runs great...but randomly stalls. I bought it from a drug addict in a bad part of town who said it wouldnt' run. I checked it out, put gas in it...and it fired up and ran 'good enough'....so have never messed more with it.
  9. I have done nothing with mine. I have been elbow deep in a bathroom remodel. Currently elbow deep in redoing drain and supply plumbing. Plus its been cold.
  10. Good luck! I had never been inside a ATV engine until this past summer. Service manual is king and as you take it apart make sure you take pics and lay it out in order. Also, one key thing Shadetree told me as I tore it down is 'the oil holes in the bushings must line up' when you put it back togehter. I'm not sure if yours has that...but it was important on my 450 to ensure oil got where it needed to be.
  11. My bet is the oem kitchenaid part will say made in mexico. I would say about 90% of the parts Could be. Gear is too small to have a label. I'll have to look at new package when it comes in.
  12. Oh gotcha.... Yah, I wouldn't be surprised if the gear I bought came from same factory Whirlpool busy from.
  13. Let me pull phone and i'll update iwth a pic.
  14. nlol....actually yes. The Kitchenaid gears were 3 weeks out for delivery and I didn't wat the wrath of the wife for that long! Price wasn't a factor as the kitchenaid gears are twice the price but 7 vs 14 is not enough to make me care. It was straight up delivery time. Regular kitchenaid gear for a backup is on order shortly.
  15. All back together and spinning great.
  16. I have messed with that occasionally as well. Even w/o anything under the head I struggled from time to time as I rebuilt mine. I will have 2 terminals stacked up when I finally install my battery tender(it fired right up relatively happy tonight in the cold after sitting 2 weeks)...so I'll have to keep your struggles in mind. Maybe have a bit longer bolt handy. Or a stick Or duct tape Or double sided tape or who knows.
  17. They put that one plastic one in for a fuse....all the other gears are steel. Wonder if they depowered the motors or something at the time. We've had this one like 10 yrs or more I think.
  18. Stripped out the gear on my wife's Kitchenaid MIxer on New Years. Discovered it tonight. Glad I'm handy. Pretty sure Duct Tape won't be used in the repair...but holy crap the use of grease is amazing!
  19. First thing I look for in BBQ is 'does it have High Fructose Corn Syrup' in it. If it does. I put it back. On a side note, currently researching airfare to your little corner of the world as the food sounds phenomenol.
