  1. A Mazda fuel pump get outta here are you serious, that works and fits the tank?? 😁
  2. Will do, judging by the white buildup in the valve I'll get a new one, but I noticed an adjustment but I had to pull a bit to get it out and accidentally turned that nut should I be to concerned, if it had a choke plate it'd be easy to adjust, I'm getting a new cable anyway.
  3. Was that cold or warmed up? You gotta have it warmed up so everything will be tight when ya do it. Try warming it up real good and reporting back. 😁
  4. I agree with @toodeep save your $$$ and get a set of feeler guages and what ever sockets and screwdriver bits you may need. I know on my 300 that the carb is off of now for rebuild "leaky needle valve", the crank access hole is a 10mm Allen socket and the timing port is a flathead screwdriver, valve cover bolts are 10mm. I'm using a 1/4in socket and screwdriver bit to adjust my valves, wish I could find a tool like the rancher has I believe, a hex nut with the screw built in. If you have what I do DO NOT let ANYTHING drop into the engine. Other than that you'll be fine, for valves you want a slight drag.
  5. How to clean up and not scratch seal looks good from what I can tell
  6. Here are photos of the choke enrichment valve, what do you guys think?
  7. It was a late night, and stressful day, had stuff going on. Ya know
  8. Howcome 3/16 on a 1/4 inch petcock? That has me curious, was the factory line 3/16?
  9. @riverc, think of it like this. It's never a problem, it's a project. I'm thinking of tearing my 93 down and redoing it, new plastics " probably green, and mud guards from a 96 maybe 96 a arms to get ground clearance if they didn't change the frame for 2x4 in 95 up". Might even powder coat it.
  10. I seen your YouTube video and getting it over that upper lip is why I thought the UNI had a cage do I could eleminate the factory body. After soul searching I'm going OEM.
  11. Thanks @shadetree and @toodeep, I'll buy a new OEM, and use the Bell Ray oil. So just work it on and off that lip, boy I skin my fingers everytime, but I'll give it another go when I get the replacement stock filter.
  12. How do you get yours off the cage, me I have to skin my fingers up cause of the TIGHT FIT on the upper lip closest to the engine.
  13. I'll try one, I just wanted to see if there was a better way to get the stock filter off the spacer and not skin my fingers up cause a tight fit on the lips. But if the uni has a cage I'll be very happy.
  14. I'll see what it'll do, my main thing was mounting the back of it to support it. I'll post pictures when I get it.
  15. @01RUBY500 So in your opinion how is a UNI better than stock filter?
  16. Getting the rubber on and off of the lips on the body, my fingers suffer it's a very tight fit, and no my filter is a factory filter. If someone wouldn't have an easier way I'm almost to the point of taking a wizzer wheel and cutting those lips off the body. And is the bel ray oil really the best oil??
  17. So it doesn't have a cage and it would be Overkill for me? Any tricks on not skinning my fingers up removing the filter off of the cage and reinstalling it on the cage?
  18. Was thinking about getting a Uni NU-4119ST filter, but on further investigation after calling Uni to ask. They claimed it has a cage inside, well most pictures I seen don't picture one. So what's to stop the inner filter to get sucked in the engine??? Plus no spot on the back like OEM. My main question is should I stick to stock or get one, heard oh these are better than stock, I want to either do away with that pesky cage or find a better method for removing cage, tired of beating up my fingers. HELP PLEASE Or is the Uni all hype, also read it's competition only, not for trail riding or work. Witch is 5% work and 90% trail riding for me.
  19. Thanks man, I didn't expect ya to measure a tank that quick.
  20. I was going to wait till I had a definite inner diameter of the bung and thread size first. If you can do that I'll name my first born after you, if I ever find love lol. Mechanics are hard to be in a relationship with. We're perfectionists by nature.
  21. There ya go lol. More than likely for a 93 Honda 300, the sizes probably won't match, but I can run a replacement stocker and take the screen out of the bowl, that filter is 10 micron. Never could find the specs on the stock screens neither.
  22. Welcome to the fourm my friend.
  23. I think it is, like I said if I can't get them measured I'll just go stock replacement petcock. Shame Honda doesn't tell that information. Those look great and you may be able to visualize what I was talking about, more compact and better designed, plus rebuildable I'll wait n see if anyone else has input, I'll measure sometime this week, overslept and didn't get up there to start on the carb today.
