  1. 118.00 I think. But just hear me out, I considering and thinking on this cause, 1. Like someone said in my fuel line post, clear line gets hard and cracks overtime. 2. Better designed, I looked at factory petcocks, some good, others bad. Bad as in not rebuildable, or no ball bearings on the valve, if I can find one shorter and better designed then I'll go for it. If not a factory petcock will do. Answering a question that may pop up, I looked and couldn't find the rating on the stock screens, or the diameter of the bung or thread size.
  2. I been around this stuff, and I have a unique me ND set, that there is something better out there, I thought a factory replacement petcock would do, Wich it will but was wanting to see what benefit it would have. Good mechanics are rather odd people lol. My area of expertise is mowers and such. But hey, never hurts to think outside the box. When I had my Briggs 150 micron filter on, my pet cock would be turned out and I also want to shorten the length. Not that the stock petcock isn't great, I want to eliminate that strainer screen and bowl, and run my soon to be new filter, then I thought wait there has to be a shorter petcock out there. I'm sure you can understand where I'm coming from looks and functionality, but more than likely a stock petcock with no screen, I'll consider and rethink the no screen. My bowl but stripped so either way I'll have to go new petcock plus the flare where it goes on the nut is loose inside, makes the whole petcock spin when switching tanks.
  3. I looked at golan products petcock, and am very impressed, bearings and rebuildable, I emailed to see if they had one. They said I needed to get the inside diameter of the building ng and thread size. I don't have calipers so I need expert help also looked on the web, couldn't find it. https://golanproducts.com/product-category/petcocks/
  4. No need to apologise, it's a good post and you let us know you found it.
  5. @riverc, most of all if I were you I'd try to find a Sunoco station in your area that has the Optima Non Ethanol fuel, 92 octane. And treat it with 1oz per gallon of Seafoam. That'll cure your problem, also if you do go with my fuel fix, try to get at least 15 gallons or a girl caddy to store in, and keep the wheeler tank full at all times. https://www.sunoco.com/quality-fuels https://www.sunocoracefuels.com/fuel/optima
  6. If it was me I'd follow @shadetree, but I'd test the pressure first, if it's FI then if there isn't a port on the rail then unhook the main line and tee into it if you have the adapters and reconnect it, and check pressure. When HOT. I'm not sure if Honda uses a common rail or direct injection, cause a throttle body only flows air, so I may be wrong on what I told you, but the information is useful.
  7. Going with Non Ethanol, Sunoco Optima.
  8. John Deere buck ATV I think.
  9. Please watch this. Taryl Fixes All. Staring Taryl Dactal, Funny skits and informative. If you don't enjoy the comedy go to 3:54, but this guy has a full time shop in Indiana and knows his stuff, 40 years experience. A 2nd video, if again you don't like the skits as I enjoy them, go to 2:30.
  10. I'd like to know if anybody uses clear fuel line, if so what brand and has it discolored or not held up over time. I'm thinks ng of running clear line on my 300. Just needed opinions. Going up to the farm tomorrow to start on the carb rebuild Thanks
  11. Non Ethanol fuel with Seafoam is about the best thing I can think of. Going to get Red Kote tomorrow or Saturday to start prepping the tank on the 300 Sunday. While doing that I'll rebuild the carb.
  12. I'm still going to use it, I'll get to the carb this weekend, the weather finally is breaking. I'll post pics if anybody wants with updates. Probably on a separate thread.
  13. When I had that particular filter the 150 micron plastic one it deformed and I was using 87 pump gas. There's only so much space on the far side of the petcock from the head. I ran mine in the middle close to the petcock, easiest place to service. That's why I want the metal one. If your wondering # 70-250G Machined from 6061 T-6 billet aluminum Filter element is made from pleated 304 stainless steel; filtering down to 10 microns and still flowing 6 gallons a minute for Mini filter body measures 1-3/4in. long; super-for Mini body measures 7/8in. long (fewer fittings) Replacement filter element available Made in the U.S.A. If your curious, if the Made in USA is real their facility is in CA.
  14. I used one of those and it deformed.
  15. I found this and I'm very impressed. I looked Golan up and they make great stuff. https://golanproducts.com/product/super-mini-fuel-filter-1-4-barb-fitting-2/
  16. I am, just want a better filter than plastic if there is one, and a 2nd line of defense against carb clogging dirt. Mine won't come off I tried and rounded the nut on the bowl. Since then I figured leave alone.
  17. I'm gonna continue to use SF was just curious for non Ethanol fuel.
  18. I was at Lowe's today and I'm looking at fuel filters for after the carb rebuild. What would be a good choice and not melt? Also what micron rating is the stock screen? 1st is 150 micron. 2nd 40 micron I want to do the 40 micron but concerned about melting. I seen metal reusable filters I think hyper parts if I have that right has em. https://www.hyperparts.com/products/iteminquiry/601-6911 https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-4-Chrome-Kleer-Glass-FF416-Servicable-Washable-In-Line-Fuel-Filter-/182148528939
  19. Welcome to the fourm, lots of helpful folks here.
  20. Wanted to call Seafoam to make sure. Very little IPA and the rest 94% is oils and cleaners, so I'm safe to run Seafoam. 😁
  21. Guess the small two ounces of it won't hurt compared to 10% Ethanol. I was asking to avoid getting alcohol in my fuel lol
  22. Welcome to the fourm.
  23. The rebuild has been postponed cause of weather, I can't get to the wheeler, snowing. Also a tech from Sunoco told me with the Optima fuel, no stabilizer needed, reason I bought the stabil 360 today was after the carb build and possible tank Red Kote, I was gonna NG to use it to treat the fuel system. But the fellow told me the fuel has additives that will cost the whole system, tank to valves, should I use the 360 or get my money back? Advice please. Here is a Sunoco link to support my idea of just red koating the tank while I'm getting the carb super clean, and get my money refunded tomorrow. I didn't buy much just a small 5gal mix bottle. https://www.sunoco.com/quality-fuels
