  1. welcome to ATVH, tac.
  2. well...... i can thank this one femal for my extra high jiuce bill.....so i can relate, to what your saying there bro.
  3. tobacco juice is said to draw the toxins out, i always keep a pouch ready just in case, you said small hornets but the only one i know of having a stinger that long would be the Asian giant hornet one of the largest hornets in the world, and yep, they are here in the states now..... destroying the honey bee population..... and they are a ground hornet, I've seen them many times in hay fields around my area, but there not very aggressive, not like the little ones are.
  4. any chance of you getting some of the extra wood, in that deal ? IF YOU NEED IT ? that would be the perfect deal, if it's not too far to haul it over rough ground.
  5. oh a crop field is the best way to attract them.... a combine will not catch every single harvested grain morsal, plus the scent of the harvested grain / dust et, and machine noise will draw them critters in, just like any other animal they get used to certain things, just like a dinner bell is used.
  6. depends on what type of hornet your talking there are so many species, that nest in the ground. and yes gas would take care them quick, but some hives have multiple tunnels for going in and out of the hive, the best time to go looking for them if you choose to is at night, never in the day time.
  7. it would have not smoke the tire as much as it would have the clutch while you up there pushing dirt on an angle, post pics of the clutch linkage, and where you were, and and how much the tires (rear dug in while spinning) but from what little i have to go on you smoked the clutch, and shouldn't use the tractor again till you get this adjusted IF it can be. you should have felt the rear tire cleat vibration while spinning /digging via the foot rest, IF you were on solid ground, or smelled rubber if the tire spun long enough..... if you put the tractor in gear, now! and let out on the clutch .. what happens ?
  8. mine are clean, both the evap, and condensor, and hot water furness coil new intake filter, and plenty of air flow like i said before, i located the issue.... the house wasn't sealed up because doors were left open, and a cooling system isn't designed for cooling the outdoors....

least you got the rain need jeep...(thumbs up) . i recall back years ago.... when it was so hot and dry here, a man could cut (what there was) hay in the am, and rake / role the same hay in the evening, and fires broke out everywhere, that year we wetted down hay rollers and equiptment at the end of the day, and waited around for a time after shut down, now those were bad times. farmers were even having to haul water to live stock. a good friend of mine was trampled watering his cattle, and crops never did turn out, but that was an exceptional long dry hot season, the likes of we haven't seen again.

hard to kill a John deere ;) must have been a specail order with a underside exhaust, like an orchard tractor ?
  11. some don't have the ability to.... which has become a big problem in this world.
  12. nope, not in some cases where there is not enough room between. the ceiling and upper floor spaces and this is a very old house, part log, besides the system is working fine. two story a hair under 5 thousand sq feet... floor vents were the only option for a central heat and air system down stairs.
  13. you had a new clutch disk installed but went with old pressure plate ? and i take it your friend turns the flywheel face and pressure plate face ? it still could be just a slight adjustment needed.
  14. i need to see pics of the area where the peddle rod hooks to the clutch arm... but if you have free play at the peddle, there could be a peddle stop also, both the clutch adjustment and peddle stop will need adjusting.
  15. i get a chuckle from this, but at least you have a friend who's willing to bring in a monster to pull you out, but it's abit of a job to put those duals on, if there the heavy type hubs, it's been years sence I've messed with one.

it's just going to be one of times when nothing works right, huh ? hope y'all moved the tractor out far enough there's no chance of being shocked it sank again when you go back, heck the rain might help wash some of the muck off, but you must be like me, or me like about leaving equipment out in the weather.

jeep looks like y'all have that much needed rain, hopefully this front will end that dry spell that been hanging around y'all.
  18. chances are if that 8430 had had good deep cleats and was dueled out would have been safe to pull close enough, with duels ... she would snatched out that 2640, and not even spun or grunted, yeah just never can tell how fast one will sink.
  19. i thought maybe that muffler might get packed with mud, man sounds like y'all had a heck of a time, 8430 ? articulating Johndeere.... ouch yeah that would have been a mess getting that bad boy stuck... I'm glad y'all got it out.
  20. wow! I'm not saying a word..... lol! but this, brother, i have been there..... sigh, on a good note.... least y'all have a forcast of rain, i can't tell how far you are in and how close any good size trees are, but, you might be able to use the rear extended axles to pull yourself out..... if your in that far, and can take the cutter loose, and drag it out of the way the better.
  21. jeep, how are you coming along on that 250 ?
  22. sounds like you hit both the center and outer race installing it, if the inner race is tight on rotating. I'd say yes the bearing is damaged.
