  1. Are you taking it to a body and frame shop for the frame, or are youll going old school ? Diy ? Cant say ive ever delt with bent frames but rusted out.... oh yeah... i put a frame under a 81 toyota diesel ...actually about 3/4 of a frame... people told me it would draw to one side while its being welded, there for it would dog leg ... down the road, but nope... tracked perfectly... hauled (over loaded) firewood for years, im with jeep she needs fixing.... but just be glad its not a box frame...ive heard those aren't easy to straighten at all... and are bad about rusting out depending on the life the vehicke has lived (mud muck etc) most dont know those frames need to be washed out...for example there a fellow here in the forums thats got a 300 fwd with frame (tube rust from the inside due to mud and gunk being left in)
  2. Oh yeah... ha! Yep! No radio, just cubbyhole... for red man chewing bacca, and grain weight tickets..... n your pops got duel exhaust from the factory? Never heard of that less it was a 6.2 diesel ...My pops had the rare 16.5 rims back then they didnt offer many good mud grips in those size tires, but ill post a pic of one the most popular tread pattern mud grips the co-op carried.(soon as i locat one) . of corse they were so good they (like akways) stopped making them...best i recall was co-op grip spur lt-15 or close to that designation....did he get hydroboost braks or vacume boosted ? Hydroboost ... works with fluid pressure... via the power stearing pump, one of the reasons they started that was because a diesel... wont operate a vacume type brake booster.. without a built in vacume pump... our 80 model chevy one ton flat bed dump.. came with hydroboost, but also came with a 350... he ordered that truck from gm.. cab n frame.... 400 trans 205 10.5 ring n pinion rear, 9 (i think) 3/4 front ring n pinion, both were clutch type locking rear ends, and that front king pin heavy axle .. was also chosen by dodge when the first cummins powered units came off the line...... our cummins powered 4x4 dodge has the same front chunk, but its engaged... a defrent way, doesnt have free wheel hubs...thats a mistake in my books... if a person has a fwd... they should realize free wherl hubs are the only way to go... its dumb.. to have all the drivelive ware... plus the years of paying extra for gas... n ive had a front driveline fly out... i dont ever want to have happen again....thats actully caused truck accidents...a few years back a lady was driving down the road and a thrown (free) driveshaft... out of a passing truck... struck her windshield ... n get this... in nascar.. not too many people know why the Earnhardt bar came about...a single t-joint from another car.. ether went through his front window, or smashed it... that happened when it was winston cup, n not nascar..... dales pit crew commented on how angry he was over that one...lol... hince the Earnhardt bar was born.
  3. Ya.... your right, back then gas wasnt....so high, well that is when you think about it now... lol! Heck i recall when it was 1.75 (if i recall right) a gallon...yet people complained even then it was WAY high....lol!.... aaaanyways.... i was thinking about what you said drivetrain damage, n i did remeber my grandfather had a 4x4 k20 3/4 ton white lwb 350 plant, granny low four speed 205 t-case and gave it to my father for use as a fuel truck.... we used it to haul tools parts and red diesel (high sulfer tax free farm fuel) .... that truck would slip the clutch if you looked at it side ways... lol! Ended up being the imput shaft on the transmission... the end that goes into the pilot bearing in the fly wheel had snapoed off... it had never been wrecked, and noone could come up with any idea how that happened, BUT! that truck was a very rare truck... what im getting at it, it was very strong right from the factory, but it was a plain jane custom delux ... no air.. but had heat..someone said they thought because it was so torqy.. that might have been the reason.. i dont know myself, but i know we had a old co-op c-65 366 cid industrail engine.. 5+2 drivetrain....we couldnt keep drive shafts in that beast... it would twist them right out...but it wasnt used enough later on to ... justify spending the money to beef up a heavy driveline..good luck and im tuned for this project you have going on.
  4. That particular model 4x4 k model 10 (grany low four speed / free wheel lockout hubs) was a rare animal here... ive lived here all my life (tn) i only saw one... k10 short...actually... it was a mint green k1500 gmc... does yours have the 205 transfer case as well ? I believe Jeep also likes those square body models.. me myself had a lwb white... 350 4wd, grany low four trans, 205 t-case...i put camper specail spring under the back end.. for 5th wheels (goosenecks) 4:56 gears.. n the transmission i replaced with one that came out of a one ton wrecker 6.2 diesel... the defrence between the gas version 4 speed verses the diesel four speed was a big gearing change... but did nothing for gas milage...
  5. Thank you Bcs, Best wishes, and a Happy thanksgiving fellas!

  7. Looks good, you might top it (prune it back) this link / tube will explain it better then i can, but trust me this works great, we did this with tobacco plants... it increases the leaf weight and size which = more $$$ , it also helps keep the plant height lower, which equals ....a plant less vulnerable to physical damage due to storms or wind, it also is over all healthier for the entire plant, and what the topped blooms were taking away is then used to encrease fruit size, and yield, its also used by the plant main stem > (Axil) AND, in the circle is what some refer to as a sucker keep those cut or snapped off, before they get too mature. Topping a tomato plant Tube
  8. I got your update...Lol! Just caught this.... i can hear the headlines now... wilson disqualified for advertising.... haha! We nailed goober on that sticker mistake.. lol! Well....NOW.... im now on that list...well on the good side i made a rare list, that bad side ? Wrong list !!!!

  10. Welcome to ATVH, Willis, @AKATV is one I'd chat with in your case....
  11. @bcsman do you see those banners (both red n green on his laptop screen shot) that's what I saw on mine when things went south , never mind my post guys, thank you for the screen shot @802TRX
  12. Your welcome brother.... Well.... sterling .... and him had a rival.... between them, but ya he was racing on the edge... always did... you know the old saying bout d e.... people ether loved him or hated him with a passion... lol... there was NO middle feeling about him....several death threats were directed at sterling afterwards ... I should be a fan... because he's from my area.. my op met him n I think coo coo... my pops raced those midget cars (motor cycle powered) n got to know sterling... along with a few big wigs here... I never did care for sterling all that much.. I recon I became a d e fan at a very early age... of corse ... pop was to, but also liked sterling... when Elliot came in things changed..big time...with that super fast Ford ...... least we can agree to disagree about petty... lol hey you gotta have some feelings about petty taking bubba under his wing for a short time... because everyone new that whole thing was all fake n why petty would support him... well I don't know...anyways... it's racing whether on the track or off the compitition was always green lighted....
  13. One of my friends updated..... spotted a Pete resembling (not those silly tall turned out stacks) this one go down the road ... well first I heard the jake... i could see it was loaded with shell corn...the hopper didn't resemble a Wilson. could have been a Tempte...Sweet rig....

    Weather

Been overly nice the last few days we were talking in chat .... n someone mentioned a change coming.. ya those tiny winters (in no particular order) dogwood, locust, blackberry, and so are about us soon here in the southeast....going to be another pleasant day here, hole the same for everyone else.
  17. M_quick! Good to see ya.... I've not been keeping up too close, I've been recording most n watching them at a more convenient time...I've noticed the last cup race didn't record (Phoenix) the thread will comeback.. no worries there....I would say I'm not impressed at all with bubba..seems he's trying to take on the same racing attitude as THE MAN Dale sr....I don't think I'm as opinionated about petty backing bubba at the start... as I was... still think petty made a mistake... so I'll just stop there on him, but he's no longer the king... (I never considered him as such) Dale sr... ruled the track as king... petty was good but Dale was king....king lives on the edge pushing the envelope... n that's just what. Dale did.. sadly cost him his life, but the legacy lives on.
  18. Hi Jcz, Welcome to ATVH.
  19. Ya .... this to >>>> Poor little car.....lol
  20. ¿Tiene un manual de servicio y muestra un código en la pantalla? es posible que tengas una charla con too deep, jeep o retro, eso es en lo que puedo pensar ahora mismo, Nunca he tratado con modelos más nuevos así que... Is it flashing a code on the screen, and do you have a service manual? I would chat with @toodeep @jeepwm69 , or @retro that's who I can think of right at this moment.
