  1. So happy for you and your meet and greet. Thanks for all the great pics.....
  2. You will be glad to know there are tons of 450 owners around here. You do have the 2nd generation 450 with choice of 2wd/4wd. Being a 450ES owner myself and seeing as tho yours has been sitting awhile I would suggest taking a look at the following thread. There are many with ES issues that could be solved by taking advantage of the tips @retro has laid out so well. Yes he also has an ES Honda. Good luck and have fun......

    Hi guys

  4. Watch it there youngster, you may get sent to your room....lol
  5. Welcome and glad you found us. If you feel frisky we have a chat area and usually have folks participating in the evening. We talk about all sorts of things, not just ATV's. Access it from the top menu.....
  6. Mines a 98 450ES so no codes on mine....
  7. I have used a 12 mm wrench to turn my ES manual shift lever and found it turns very hard, at least mine. I also thought it was stuck but with a little more force was able to shift the trans. Just my 2 cents worth......
  8. Same here, I have never used non ethanol in anything and never had issues. Mind you I have a 35 year old Stihl chainsaw and a 32 year old Echo string trimmer and still going strong. Also lawn mowers and other small engine toys. As with shade when these engines are gonna sit for awhile I add some Stabil and run them for a few minutes. I'm certainly not saying non ethanol is bad but either I have been lucky for many years or it doesn't matter much.
  9. DC voltage meter leads directly on the battery terminals. make sure you are measuring DC not AC voltage. With the engine running it should be reading above 12 VDC. With the engine at higher RPM's it should be reading around 14-14.5 VDC....
  10. jblack saw you in chat, were you not able to post a message?
  11. Welcome jblack, you have a very good machine, there are a bunch of 450 owners here so there will be lots of advice if you have any issues. I doubt you will get any problem that someone here hasn't had or seen. We do have a chat function also, access it from the top menu. Generally there will be some action there evenings, check it out....
  12. Same here in my area, very quiet weekend. I haven't checked but I bet serious fireworks cost was jacked way up this year....
  13. Wheeler I feel for you, I have had many cats/dogs put down over the course of years by our vets. Not once did I ever send them in alone, I always was there with them to let them know they were loved until the end. And trust me it never gets easier.....
  14. My wife and I have lived thru many pets, you do get more attached to some more than others. But never an easy decision especially when still good except for the hips. I feel for you guys wheeler, trust me.....
  15. Thank you for posting a couple pics of your brother. It makes putting a face to his posts and threads here real. I will remember him and your family on June 30.....
  16. Glad you found us Derek, I will say finding parts for that old girl might be somewhat of a challenge, getting to be a problem for the mid to late 90's ATV's.....
