ummm..just seen this, they also had the 1987 trx350D, i got one in my shop !..lol.

you sure ain't lying about how heavy they are !!. i had to get my neighbor from across the street to help me put my motor on the back of my new boat back then, no way was i going to get it on there by myself !...lol. the old 2-strokes were easy to grab the handle, and tote them around...not these 4-stroke, 25 hp merc's !.

been a merc user, owner as far back as my gramp, we used to run 25 hp 2-strokes on the white river where my cabin is still at. then it came time to replace the motor, all that was around in 2010 was 4-stroke , 25 hp merc's. not impressed with it that much..still is a merc though !. great on gas..kinda sucks on get-up-an-go though !...lol. cost me around 4k cash back when i purchased it brand new.

all old school , trx250's, trx300fw's, and even new atvs have the petcock on the left side of the tanks. some newer style atvs have have the petcock on the right side, but not many that i've seen ?. but as far as old school ?, most petcocks are on the left hand side of the fuel tank.

your sure right !. i could of used some help a few times, but i had no one to call on at that time, so i just bit the bullet, and like always..just get-r-done !..lol.

haha..most of this work was completed last summer. all was left was to add a front deck on. the inside still needs some work, but that can wait. being disabled and 56 is taken its toll on this old man !..lol.

here is the deck with the railing installed. spent most of the day getting it all up. will head back down there tomorrow to hook the new how water tank up to my well pump line.

headed down there today. gonna put the railing up, and install a new 20 gallon hot water tank. spent all day yesterday building a cabinet, insulating it, i hope to get it put in, and hooked up today.

haha..yeah..used 10w-30 motor oil from my truck, 5-gallon bucket, let the beams soak for a bit before i installed them, should last a few years huh ?..lol.

expect to pay anywhere from 3k to 10k for just the cooling/heating system. then tack on another 2k-5k for the duct work. i just had my package system replaced about a year and a half ago ?, cost to replace the package unit was around 10k. here's a tip for ya !. when it stops cooling ?..DONT THINK ITS LOW ON FREON !. check the air filter and check the condensing coil !!. if one of these is dirty ?, it will stop cooling !. here in the south, cooling units work over time for most folks. myself ?, i could care less about air condition !..lol. i love heat..where is others around here melt if they dont have air !..lol.

next was ripping front porch floor up, replacing front door, replacing one of the windows.

painting was next, hated the high side !.

next is all the old tile siding getting ripped off, i did not take any pics of the rear part of the roof going up, but i built it the same way as the front. i replaced the siding with smart siding. front porch wall getting gutted, then rebuilt, then siding on it.

next is me rebuilding the roof, i custom built each truss one by one on site.

ok, seems my old cabin remodel pics were eat'n on test sight ?, so i'll post them here in this thread. mind you, i did all of this myself, it took me all summer last year, i dang near wound up in the hospital over it !. i'll start out with pics from the beginning stages, up until painting. most of these pics are me putting 6x6 beams under the high side, 2x2x18 inch footing with 1/2 rebar in the footings.

my money say's your c.d.i. went out.

lol, thing is, i don't drink much beer ?!, so your prob right !..lol.

here is the muffler i spoke of, did some open heart surgery on it, used old mufflers end , cut off bad end off new muffler, welded it back on, welded some metal around end of new muffler, also cut off the front tangs, and used tangs off old muffler onto new muffler, loose ya yet ?..lol. got it all back together, installed on engine last night, have not starter it yet to check for leaks ?. can't do that until i get all the wire harness hooked back up.
