  1. gear position switch is discontuinued, ebay or power sports nation is your only hope. pretty sure i do not have a spare..but i'll check around later when i get a chance, got alot going on right now trying to get ready for deer hunting here in arkansas.
  2. look over on powersports nation, see if they have the correct used meter, and they ship to you ?.
  3. first thing you need to check: have a look at the reverse cable, make sure its adjusted right in order to pull the reverse lever back far enough. this lever is located on the very bottom, back end of engine. to adjust the cable, there is a 10mm jam nut on the reverse cable on left handle bars, it also has a longish 10mm long. loosen the jam nut, unscrew the long part, then tighten the jam nut back up against the long screw. then see if your reverse goes into reverse any easier ?.
  4. welcome to the forums.
  5. until you get the neutral light to light up on the dash ?, you will never get it to fire the spark plug !.
  6. i gave up on those elec shift junk, lol. they would not shift to save my life. this is the very reason i do not work on ele shifts..spec auto's !..lol. i did get the engines to run , but they would not shift, so that told me to wash my hands of them. motor wise..they were good..tranny wise ?..JUNK !..LOL.
  7. hi ya akatv, i was pointing out, the early version trx450fe does not have a 4x4 light on the dash, because its full time 4x4. i do not recall if they had speedo and gear position on them back then ?, seems like my memory is gettng worse !..lol. what i do know for a fact is: from 1998 to 2001, all trx450's from ele shift to manual shift , none of them had the eletronic front 4x4 on them, as all of them were full time four wheel drive. seems like the electric shifts had the speedo sensor in the back too ?, unlike the 2002-2004 models when they moved them to the front diff's, come to think of it..there are 2 speedo sensors on the fronr dff's on the later models. also, the later model trx450fm does not have gear position showing on the dash. most of the trx450's are '' almost '' the same ?, but they changed a few things here and there.

from what al has told me..yes..300 blk rounds are pricey. he's bringing 3 ar-15's he's built, gonna let me shoot all 3, and pick out the one i favor. pretty sure the 300blk has some '' legal '' paper work that gets pricey ?, i just picked up a box of 9mm ammo, 200rds. 115gr, and a box of 5.56, 55gr, 150 rds, out the door was $ 167.51 < shiver >. this AR-15 is gonna cost me about 400 or so bucks, should be well worth it ( i get a deer camp discount )..lol.
  11. i think i can get by without the mower ?, the mower means work..then i have to go inside to cool off from using the mower ?!..lol.
  12. I TOLD YOU SO !..ROFL..wayyy to funny jeep !. really though, that's not the words i wanted to be posting, i'd rather be saying..dang..we have grown so large through the years, helping folks that are broke , and could not afford to take their atv to a repair shop. let alone .most atv's older than 10 yrs old ?..THEY WON'T TOUCH !. sooo..in steps all of us..the guys that has a passion in wrenching. this is my back bone for the past 30 something years. i will stay here as long as i can, or i am kicked to the pasture..which ever one comes first ?..lol.
  13. hmmm..i wonder if the air still works ??..lol.
  14. 2001 meters for the trx450fm did not have a 4x4 light on far right side, why ?..because they were full time four wheel drive. in 2002-2004, honda put the front drive system electronic engage from the switch on throttle.
  15. cool..i have same gun, using it next sat !. i love my marlin 30-30.
  16. look at this page --> Honda ATV 2000 OEM Parts Diagram for Final Shaft | Partzilla.com , it is the final shaft, it is number # 9 you are after. oil seal. i do not buy parts from partzilla anymore, but i use their page to look up, copy parts to post. i buy all my parts from rocky mountain atv, they are cheaper, ship faster, and you only have to buy 75 bucks worth of parts to get free shipping, plus..you earn bonus bucks for next purchase.
  17. did you do a search around for all homedepots within a certain distance ?..as in..more than just one homedepot ?. this is what i had to do back then. yeah..prices on everything is high.
  18. no..its not normal. you have the wrong wheels and tires. i have stock wheels and tire sizes on both of my trx450fm, and neither one of them stick out like yours. it has nothing to do with the disk brake kit, and also..these kits do not come with caliper spacers as you claim ?. these spacers that you mention is what '' someone '' installed..just to get those wrong size tires to clear the brake kit. stock tire size for the trx450 foremans are 25x8x12 front, and 25x10x12 rear. in order to use the high lifter disk brake kit, they say you must have 12 inch rims, in this case, all stock foremans already have 12 inch rims. in your case..you have the wrong off-set tires, with some b.s. spacers added just so those tires could be slapped on the front.
  19. cool..then its just a matter of adjusting at the bars. will take a couple 10mm wrenches..easy fix.
  20. you either got the reverse cable installed wrong ?, or just need to adjust the reverse cable at the bars. hopefully you got the reverse bracket ( that sits inside the rear case, into the shift drum slot ) the correct way in the shift drum ?.
  21. i only go to harbor freight when i need a throw away tool..lol.
  22. i am a dewalt guy through and through, i first got a drill and driver impact set, carrying bag came with it. when it came time to put a tow hitch on my sisters truck ( hers did not come with the tow package ), i went to a u-pull it place, found a hitch, dang near broke my hand trying to loosen the bolts. i called her up..told her i just spent 3 hrs unbolting this hitch, and messed up my hand in the process. she asked me how i did it ?..i told her..i had to smack the wrench alot with my hand to break the bolts/nuts lose. i then told her..you owe me a 1/2 impact driver !. she agreed..i went to lowes, bought a dewalt 1/2 impact driver, carrying case, and 2 batteries. was pricey ?..but lord..this thing is a life saver to say the least.
  23. i'm gonna try to explain how that plug works ?. first off...YOU DO HAVE ALL OF IT !..thats the good news, the bad news is, now you got to get it apart !..lol. see the + and the - on last pic ^^ ?, ok..that is where you put the wire leads through, the male plug, which you show in pic 3 ^, has to be removed from the rubber housing, careful prying it out of the housing, its rubber...and prob very brittle ?, they tear very easy !. once you get the male plug out of the housing, on one end ( the back end facing those + and - is where you attach the wires to the screw terminals on the end of the male plug. sooo..route the wires ( hopefully you use red and black wires ) through that bottom end, run the wires to the male end screw terminals. put the male plug back in the housing, run the wires back through the bottom end. now all you need to do is attach these power wires to your 12vdc spot light.
