  1. heres one on fleabay—great seller https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F133370190947
  2. @bladams85 i sent you a very interesting PM
  3. You saw the pic i posted I cleaned the stator Duck gave me by soaking it in a little container of engine oil and a little boars hair plumbers flux brush. It was covered in carbon and burnt flakes of dirt. heres the case I married it to—looked like the quad was rescued from a bog. I just wiped it out with swabs, rags and a flux brush. I bought it because it was cheaper than buying the caps separately—and then I cleaned it up and used it. just be careful about using any harsh polishes on the outside of that side case unless the paint is already ruined. An protect that shift lever seal oh yeah those stators can take a little abuse — I don’t know about that chipping. You’ll just have to try it—they’re easy enough to remove and replace—if you can find one.
  4. Can you use steel wool? @DuckOfDeathgifted me a stator. It was very carbon-covered. I bathed it in oil and brushed all the carbon gunk off with plumbers flux brushes. I cleaned contacts with a non-metallic scrub pad so I wouldn’t get iron on the magnets. I replaced the connectors and now works in my project! oh yeah steel wool on the flywheel and cases—yes. I use the softer copper or brass brushes for some parts
  5. Yeah and that one has got some damage. @_Wilson_™ Did a lot of research and put the bug in my ear that these racks are made by CMP (cambridge metal and plastics). i am not sure if these were the same units as those listed in the Hondaline catalog. i have never seen a Hondaline cooler carrier—front or back. I have only seen the CMP models.
  6. I tell people to use Honda GN4 because everyone before me didn’t know what to use. it’s a fantastic excuse to go to the local Honda shop. My people tell me it’s the best oil, amazing actually—made from only the best chemicals and the most high energy dinosaurs, you know. Everybody loves it, it’s huge today. you’ll love it too.
  7. The optional Hondaline front cooler carrier doesn’t require holes drilled. It attaches to the fender attachment points and has flanged downtubes that bolt to either the stock or accessory bumper if i can find one ill post it up
  8. My favorite is the ITP Mud Lite AT. Great all around tire although the space between treads is a bit subject to cactus. Made in USA. Second favorite it Carlisle 489AT; tire set i have here on my TRX300 is several years old—i got them used and they’ll still great. I do not know if they’re made in US. made in US is very important to me
  9. Here’s an article on the Mattracks Litefoot i have—i have two sets—going to put one set on a CanAm Defender, if they’ll fit. http://www.offroaders.com/directory/products/Mattracks-LiteFoot-ATV-Track-System.htm
  10. I think the Hondaline rear cargo carrier i think you had to drill holes for it. Cargo carrier is flat; cooler carrier has roundbracing however, the cooler carrier i have you do not need to drill holes. It has four attach points—2 flanges that attach to the rear bumper (with bolts, washers, sleeves and nuts) and two that bolt to the fender mount points (replaces fender setting bolts with regular bolts, sleeves washers and nuts).
  11. Sweet even the original tires i have two 86s. One is all farkled with every Hondaline option I could find and the other is on i have considered restoring as the base model without farkles so i can recreate these photos
  12. Sure J i got em in a warehouse I’ll be out there this week
  13. Tires are bald there’s another $400
  14. Rocky Mountain ATV shows two part numbers—possibly the cable sleeve on the 07 is shorter—overall length could be the same. 17920-HM8-B00 for the 07 carb. 17920-HM8-305 for the ‘00
  15. From what i can tell the main and slow jets are the same. I would suspect your throttle cable is too tight and rolling open. Your butterfly valve needs to be completely closed when you cable up the carb.
  16. I have a couple sets of Mattrax Lites i took off a 450S and a 06 Rancher 350. Scary ride — fenders guards were cut off and chewed up; wheel bearings worn out. they neef to be on a bigger machine with power steering im going to put the tracks on a newer SXS
  17. EeeYup and Mud Lites are made in ‘Merika boys!
  18. I have my originals still mounted on the original wheels—one tire has some sidewall cracks. I bought another set of oem wheels off fleabay and mounted Mud Lite AT. theres another tire looks similar to stock I’ll have to remember 🤔what it is.
  19. This person wants to sell this odo kit —pretty good deal—saying it’s missing some parts but I can’t tell what if anything. otherwise, just make sure your petcock works—sometimes the internal seal leaks and then you dont know how low you are https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F293441171645
  20. Exhaust tick? Weak valve spring?
  21. Found a broken bolt on a frame fender mount; you older motorheads will appreciate this use of the stake, drill, extract and tap method. If i had tried a smaller extractor i might have realized the bolt wasn’t welded in like some get; then my luck I might’ve broken off the extractor.
  22. Here’s one for you @bladams85 it looks complete—not abad price
  23. Unfortunately these kits are hard to find in complete condition. Sometimes you can find them used for $200. Here’s a pic of new one That sold recently for $400 I recommend you ensure you have a trustworthy petcock
