  1. well i debated on posting....but after being chewed out, and being demanded by her to clean her mess up....and being talked about in a bad way to my sisters AGAIN ... sigh (which burns me up) and there kids (which have nothing to do with her) i have now learned she got oxys ( i don't what those are) from Robert her husband his perscription and name on the bottle ... now she's into to transporting perscription opioids .... did i say this was bad ? (from years I've seen this happen) ? yeah i believe i did. her doctors (who ever they are now) have told her (from what she's told me) they will not prescribe any more pills of any type.... i could have her and robert nailed for this but being the man (thick skinned) ill keep dealing with this mess, she's on the verge of another pancreatic attack, and will not go to the ER because according to her the hospital is full up with covid patients ...... i will always help a person who wants help, but those who wish to travel the same path and drag me along ?? not a chance in !!!! fact is she just wants to be stoned out of her mind (or whats left of it) last night she hit the wall.... had it out with Robert.... and woke me up, and gave me a ring and neckless with a combine price of 12 thousand, and advised me he's not to get them back..... i have no need for them, or the money and do not want the trouble this will bring. a rock and hard place doesn't even come close to describing this mess.
  2. actually if the base and bottom of the jug / cylinder was cleaned very well of the old gasket, the new gasket would have should be enough. like i said just depends on who you ask about using rtv.... personaly i wouldn't....on an atv, well.... lol maybe a Polaris ..... haha! the more of them we get rid of the better off. :-)
  3. i still think by the way you described the squeak .... speeding up as the bike moves faster and very noticeable from the rear of the bike, it very well could be the brakes, or a hub i don't know if you ever got your new bike deep enough in the slop for water /muck to get in the brakes ? but as young as the bike is, i couldn't see a bearing going down that fast ? it has to be something to do with rotation of the drive line hub brakes wheels etc..... still curios as to what that noise could be.
  4. some say don't use any at all while other say you can use it, just depends on who you talk to..... i myself.... wouldn't use it, but if ?? i had to it would be a very very thin layer. it's just the amount squeezed out... caught my eye..... I'm not too sure how much of a rush your in to get done with this bike, but if your going leave as is i hope it pays off, and not any of it made its way into the crank case.
  5. deer here have no known natural predetors...... and buzzards have been unchecked for years..... except for the few farmers / ranchers that take the chance to help keep the qnumbers down..... I've never even seen an eagle around these parts but there are a few species of hawks..... i have a couple red-tails the nest on my place, and help keep the rodent population in check..... every once in a while i see them in my yard, i reckon squirrels are what they might be after.
  6. they just clip in. if i recall right a tad aggravating to install....
  7. i agree, the worst here would be wild hogs, and dillas, and buzzards.
  8. i believe those clips go on the right and left side just inside the chrome trim, and lock in place, i had to replace the bulb in my ol 85 but that was years ago.
  9. i like your attitude..... lol! especially about the wood screws, and seat cover.
  10. oh yes most defenntly rodents! i wouldn't be shocked if you find more damage.... and those little suckers caused this issue your now having.. no spark, not shifting... I've not had much dealings with es machines, but i have with rodent damaged machines. melatv is the electrical expert here, so i would contact him..... be sure to keep us updated and and pics of any other wires chewed up, might also un hook the battery when you get done working on it today.
  11. anywhere you see a wire chewed into.
  12. thank you, can you post pics of the damaged areas ? it might shed some light on exactly where the problem is.... i see another one here in one of your post.
  13. that (from the veiw) looks like rodents (mice) have been on the wire harness, do you see any other wires damaged of chewed up ?
  14. that doesn't shock me from an old farm hand like myself lol! go with every edge you can get......
  15. i have another question, do these come with defrent .... glasses ? maybe a small type ? I'm not looking for one as tall as you have wheeler, but for the price i couldn't see trimming that glass down, but for a lower priced glass, i might be in for that..... what I'd really like to have is that locker, but I'll wait and see how yours holds up... lol.
  16. glad to help, be sure to keep us updated.
  17. welcome to the forums, you might contact @Melatv for the electrical issues, from what I've read here, no i don't think the meter has to be connected, not too sure on the es models.
  18. yep i did the same, with chain hoist, but i couldn't pass up a great deal on a used lift table....
  19. first thing i thought of when i saw this thread updated was the squeak .... but i figured to let you bring that up, so what the verdict ? cause I've been thinking about this... issue.
  20. just out of curiosity, what kind of sealant did you use on the cylinder base ?
  21. hard to believe a pine needle would make that trip....wow, be sure to keep us updated, and please don't tell the PO about this place..lol! we don't care for people that abuse machines that much...... i did notice the exhaust right out of the engine looked like it was oil coated. i can honestly say i feel for this machine. looks like a complete engine build unless your planning on flipping it ?
  22. i would have made the same choice being you can use that type setup on multiple jobs, a bike lift is limited to what you can use it for, i use mine mostly for a work bench....lol comes in very handy.... the floor jacks at the shop.... well there just too big, and as Ted says not easy to role around on dirt. plus on the new bike... I'd think you wouldn't need a bike lift too much, but they make a great work bench!
