  1. it was posted here in the forums you can get the original mudlite from Rocky Mountain for around $300, mine cost not much more then that, and have held up very well for the conditions i ride in axle deep mud, sand, rocks, hills even snow, pavement. and hard spinning pulls, had mine 8 years, still have over 3/4 tread left, not a single flat tire, how ever the AT does not have cleats that deep. im with wheeler, i just can't do knock off tires, and we've all heard about china knock parts failing.
  2. good to hear the test came back negative, jeep, the plain ol creeping crud, has been making its way around here.
  3. that's slick! i like the color, man sure took some time on that honda.
  4. no, lol! i wasn't kicking back.... but no one here rides in the muck like you do, well i think Mac used to ? what i was getting at was if that tread pattern was what he's looking for ....( he didn't say) just thought of those tires he posted, which have a bad review ... probably in his case, he'd better better off avoiding those chinia tires, see... this why i try and stay clear of tire threads, lol! weight ... plus etc ... price, quality ... so there's no chance I'd run a cheep china made tire. not anything wrong with swamplites, or outlaws.
  5. i might would delay the carb build .. do the valves , and figure out why when it's warm it won't start, but when it's cold it will, the plug is a tad rich looking.... so I'd clean it, or put a new in run it, then check down the road.
  6. i agree ^^^ but those have 16 cleats the mudlite has more like 22 cleats. best i recall ? what i read about those china tires, is they deform.... and cause drivetrain / bike vibration, old saying you get what you pay for, but as mentioned people like what they like... i take it since you posted those ? that's tread pattern your interested in, then go with the mudlite.
  7. nope never known anyone to use them, but they are China made tire, IMO, stay clear of them, go with the mudlite AT. which is much better tire, and made in the U.S.A. the mudlite AT is 6 ply far as i know margeshrimpson posted about getting a set of these SunF All Terrain.
  8. well... i thought it was worth a go. looks like you have a few looking, sure the part will come up soon.... i called JL my old boss, he said has one, but it belongs to a customer, he said he would me let know something next week, i know of another guy, but ... it's very doubtfull, I'll check with him also.
  9. yeah, just a very few changes, i like it, curious as to what engine / trans combo this has.
  10. glad your okay wheeler, I've been there, just not that bad. that's the paint, should hold up really good, back when i was using it, the can had a defrent looking lable, but yep, that's it.
  11. work smart ^^^^ i used a thick tree limb and a chain hoist many times. then got a bike lift , also comes in handy for a work Bench too, i don't about your bike, but you can stand a 300 (and some other models) up on the rear rack, and have access to just about everything.
  12. ive always like wrenching on those Harley's ... you've had some nice ones! this ones kind of out there with the pipes.
  13. https://atvhonda.com/topic/1170-on-this-day-in-history/ ^^^^ or find a good deal on a bike lift
  14. i remember some of those pics, ( the wheel on the rear of the blue 300) more then likely i was cutting, and hauling wood..
  15. might also try this place credit goes to @Macarena Man might would go with fishes offer, you'd get all kinds of replacement parts, but i also understand that's a long haul. https://www.hondarestoration.com/
  16. i finally got that video to load, very interesting.
  17. i think he rode a bike in that movie chain reaction ?
  18. looks good! eh, what she don't know want hurt her, just don't tell her this time, lol!
  19. thanks for the update at least now you know what the issue is, i did some looking, no luck as of yet i believe this is the part# 35600-VM6-003 no longer available, you might post here. https://atvhonda.com/forum/20-for-sale-trade-wanted/
  20. looks kind of like this one might have the same engine as your build, hard to tell with this pic, i like the fat back tire, pretty cool looking bike.
  21. in this case .... i would check any, and all connections close to a heat source, any sign of the wire harness being over heated ( dis colored ) ?
