  1. glad your okay wheeler, I've been there, just not that bad. that's the paint, should hold up really good, back when i was using it, the can had a defrent looking lable, but yep, that's it.
  2. work smart ^^^^ i used a thick tree limb and a chain hoist many times. then got a bike lift , also comes in handy for a work Bench too, i don't about your bike, but you can stand a 300 (and some other models) up on the rear rack, and have access to just about everything.
  3. ive always like wrenching on those Harley's ... you've had some nice ones! this ones kind of out there with the pipes.
  4. https://atvhonda.com/topic/1170-on-this-day-in-history/ ^^^^ or find a good deal on a bike lift
  5. i remember some of those pics, ( the wheel on the rear of the blue 300) more then likely i was cutting, and hauling wood..
  6. might also try this place credit goes to @Macarena Man might would go with fishes offer, you'd get all kinds of replacement parts, but i also understand that's a long haul. https://www.hondarestoration.com/

  10. thanks for the update at least now you know what the issue is, i did some looking, no luck as of yet i believe this is the part# 35600-VM6-003 no longer available, you might post here. https://atvhonda.com/forum/20-for-sale-trade-wanted/
  11. looks kind of like this one might have the same engine as your build, hard to tell with this pic, i like the fat back tire, pretty cool looking bike.
  12. in this case .... i would check any, and all connections close to a heat source, any sign of the wire harness being over heated ( dis colored ) ?
  13. thanks for the update, like it's been said ... one of the best descriptive .. diagnoses threads ... just shows details and more details is the only way to go.
  14. there you go! one good thing about a Polaris name. lol!
  15. i use military ammo boxes myself ... but mostly all i carry is chainsaw files spare chains, a few hand tools etc, just for cutting wood. what were planning on hauling ? longer items i just strap to the rack. never was a fan of having too much weight on the rear rack.
  16. thanks for the update. feels like a whole other machine now ? the display blinking of and on, hm... sounds like a connection issue in the wire harness, try this , turn the bars while trying to start it, see what happens then. just a thought .. most likely that will not make a change. also any issue with the lights, if you had said the screen blanks out and she stops turning over my thought would be a battery connection.
  17. sounds like your getting close to straightening her out, thanks for the update, after to get the governer and linkage straightened out, you might not even have to mess with the timing.
  18. i favor the mudlite at never had an issue hauling wood and they handle the mud / i see here pic (. right you are slow, theres a wealth of knowledge ... and many defrent opinion's , just depends on what terrain you'll be riding on.
  19. you, and me both... lol. 55 mph going down culleoka hill on a regular bicycle was fast enough for me.... i must have about 13 i reckon.
