  1. holding a shovel, and chooses to to use his leg ??
  2. couple defrent ways, but wrenches--- a dog bone wrench would work good, just jam the nuts up line the corners up and slip the wrench over both, another way would be jam them fairly tight, and use the inner nut to back them both out / break the stud loose, then once the adjustment screw breaks loose take two wrenches one on the main nut one one the jam , break those loose, then your set. I've used this deal many times, and it works good.
  3. thanks jeep, great to start the new year off, i just hope they will join.
  4. glad your satisfied with the ending as far as the money goes, best ending, but i was sure thinking you would come up on that missing bike. (rare as it is) at least i was thinking so, as for insurance companies, they pretty much = crooks .. along with those who are employeis = desk Jockeys. some would happy with the money, but it can't replace the owners feelings or sentimental value of the missing item.
  5. as fish said, how many long was it run like this ? ( if the filter is in backwards ) i would say no, you know the top end took a hit, so i would check the oil, but my thinking is it's going to have metal in the oil which would do damage to to the bottom end.
  6. oil filter in backwards is what I'm thinking, pull the filter cap, and check.
  7. well fish, you nailed it. when was the last oil change ? if you away to take /post pics, or videos that would come in very handy. Edit: fish beat me to it.
  8. reminds me, of teds idea for a semi truck load, i bet some went that far this time, lol..... the mud park down south of me always has super big ride over the New Years weekend, im already hearing cb traffic from people on the way there, and with all the rain that came down its sure to be a mud feat this year.
  9. good deal, i was very impressed with the results on that rancher light mod. and all the electrical works added looked very professional, i looked around for the thread but then recalled it was in the old forums.
  10. personally i would have never responded to the text, but that's just me. or maybe not, you respond sometimes these idiots don't give up.
  11. hm, a side car ? not a bad idea, I'm sure a spare motor with be suggested ... lol!
  12. blackeyed peas turnip greens or cabbage each seasons with country ham, and cornbread.
  13. happy New Years stay safe and have fun. out with old year in for a better new year!
  14. this is not a video, but i figured it would be okay, and this thread needs pushing up! nfl players = idiot knee takers, Honda riders = cream of crop atv riders, owners, and wrenchers.
  15. nah it wouldn't be the gas cap vent from when you described in the 1st post... sounds to me like it's not a fuel supply issue, but a carb issue or the valve adjustment. fish mentioned timing jump. but this happened right after you adjusted the valves ??? then you started hunting other issues ? i would have checked the adjustment first before heading in other directions . did this bike sit up for an extended time with ethanol fuel ? and no gas treatment ?
  16. i think you'll end up being a die hard honda guy like the true ones are, welcome to the sickness...
