sorry i have not been around these past few days ?, but i've been busy trying to get my camper ready for gun season for the deer woods. i had to install a new battery for the front, AND KEEP IT THERE !..LOL. thieves today are unreal. so, with a little brain work, i came up with this home made locking device to fasten my 300 dollar deep cycle battery down so it would not grow legs and run off ?!..lol. sorry about the pic being dark ?, but it was late when i got the bracket finished last night.

i just drive my front tire on my truck on at the rim bead, then ease the tire around the bead, works great for me. once you get the tire of your truck next to the bead, back it off, get out, spin the tire around, rinse and repeat. also helps to spray some wd-40 around the rim bead when you have your truck tire next to the rim bead. been doing it this way for years.

great video, but he's working with a good outer base, most times these are what is rusted away, and when this takes place, you can not weld to anything on it, as any welding will just burn right through rusted metal.

update: have not touched this in a few days, but i did just order a carb rebuild kit for the carb ( shindy ), be a few days before this comes in. been wet and cold here lately, not in a hurry to jump back on this project.

if you can kick start it ?, then your one-way bearing is ok !.

does not add up, but my thought is you are not kicking it over fast enough. or as fish just mentioned to me on the phone, your compression ( rings are worn ) not enough compression to kick start it.

time to pull it apart, have a look at the friction disk, or i would replace them.

before you rush out an buy a new bearing that you may or may not need ?, you need to pull the spark plug out, and try kicking it over with the spark plug laying on the engine, while watching for spark ?. if you are getting the engine to turn over with kick starter but no spark ?, then this is a c.d.i issue.
