  1. that is a nice looking sap set up, way better than my thrown together contraption. though this is/was my first year of sap production. this was my set up and 2 pans sat on the blocks with the fire underneath was rather rude and crude but got the job done. and I had all the material's on hand for this
  2. never mind on the back tire I'm out in the shop finshing my beer and I just heard a pop, and went and checked the beads in place on that tire now. took the PSI down to 5 on it and that'll be going on the ATV tomorrow. that is if I can get the tube in the front tire
  3. also for the rear of this atv right now its running chains on some old knobby tires that are shot but still holding air, and I got a different set for $15 and 1 hold air and the other I put a tube in but the tire not set all the way out back on the bead? any words of wisdom for that? Tire say max of 15PSI to set the bead and she's at 25psi now and Im a little gun shy to keep pushing air into it tire is not the best of shape but these have more tread than the other's my thoughts tomorrow might be to air it down put a ratchet strap aound the middle of the tread and air it back up and see if the bead will set. if that dont work put 15 psi of air in it and go hit the trials and pray it will kick the bead out where it need to be? or set it back at 5psi and dont worry unless the tire goes flat? pics are of the spot where bead isn't set the better of these tires and the 200sx with what its running now. I just dont want to burn the chains out on summer riding when I can save them for winter when the chains make a huge difference in where this atv is cable of getting to.
  4. I tried to get a tube in the front tire of the 200sx and now am drinking beer waiting for words of wisdom and tips and tricks to get that done. my thread is here 200sx tube in front tire
  5. any body got any great putting a tub in a small front tire trick's? for my kids 200sx which has 20x7-8 tires and 1 dosn't hold air and im tired up airing it up all the time so I bought a tube for it and got the tire brooke off the bead and the im struggling getting the tube to go over the rim it gets tight and just dosn't have the inside diameter to go around the rim. some pics of what i have have the tube aired up for tonight hoping to stretch it out some i guess.
  6. Akin in, thanks for the run down. Goober, gota love a pic of a atv with all the plastic off of them!
  7. how many miles did you get out of your mudrunners? I have a set on a 02 rancher that gets maybe 200 miles on year put on it. Its the wife's quad and I think I put more miles on than her. They have held up well and are over 15 years old.
  8. Akunin so forgive my ignorance who wins a side by side street race of these 2? 1/8 mile 1/4 mile top end? Im not into the Sport ATV scene but they booth look cool and Fun and FAST. or even on grass which one will hook better and get of the line? or even on the trail which handles corners better? just some question's to fill time thanks.
  9. I'll say Goodyear mud runners, others have gave probably better advice on tires, but ask a tire question and you get lots of different answers. best of luck
  10. That is a long trip for 1 day! To have new machine it is worth it!
  11. Now that is a project you got. best of luck with it.
  12. The 2000 recon using the stone boat to move some large rocks. Probably 8 or so rocks that they moved. the kids did %80 of the work on this. Now will have to blend this part back into the yard it was a flower bed at 1 time but has been more weeds the last few years.
  13. glad to have you here at atv honda!
  14. I like the looks of that 300! how does it due for turning the 26" rubber? any engine mods at all? For winter plowing I put 15-20PSI of air in the front tires to give me a little more height. I just have to remember to air them back down for summer riding is all. the 4 hole slots are alot better looking then the 7 slot ones.
  15. thanks, here's a better pic of the rims, and they have 26" Mudzilla for the tires. though I think it looks kinda cool with the snow packed rim look as well!
  16. Any thoughts to putting tubes in your diamondback tires? how much tread due they have left? if had the knowledge about the tires you asked I'd input my $.02 worth but the only ones you mentioned are the big horns which are a great all around tire from what I have read. but the others may be better. and welcome to the site
  17. Made the daily trip to gather up maple sap! 7 and 1/2 gallons today. kids putting sap,in fridge and broke a big glass jar so now at the ER room with youngest daughter who has a nasty cut on her pinky finger from glass jar. wife with daughter I'm stuck out in waiting room they only allowing 1 parent with kid
  18. From a fellow wi resident welcome! out of 3 atv that get plows for the winter only my in town atv still has snow plow on it, thats only because I haven't brought out to my house for spring yet. though the plow are still in a heated workshop and I can have on in 10 minutes.
  19. are you cable of doing the work to get it going again? starts and runs fine? No smoke at all? ES shifting all works good? Id say $700.00 but I have no idea what 2013 ranchers are worth.
  20. For my Kid I put a plow on his 2000 Honda Recon and for what it is it does Okay. He has fun with it which is the main thing and I due get a little work out of him getting the driveway plowed and it saves me time from having to due it all my self. youtube link for the video is here this is the 2nd video, pretty much the same but He is having a blast Hope you enjoy
  21. are the Moose plows for Utv more stout that the reg ATV plows? I think the push tubes are a little more beefy that the ATV plows but wondering if the turn table and the plows are the same or beefed up more? this just from looking at Pics of the push tube's I've not looked at the in person. I have had to redue the cross brace on my Moose plow and the pin mounts through the Push tubes as well. its a 02 Moose 60" plow. im on the 2nd cutting edge as well.
  22. fishfiles, or if your running cable and its starting to fry you put a couple of cable clamps in your toolbox with tools to tighten the clamps so if you break you can reclamp the broken end around the hook. Also some Electric tape to tape the frayed end back down somewhat. Gloves as well as frayed cable has nice little stick you points on it. My 2nd A2000 winch has been broke before I got it and the hook end is held up with cable clamps and I had that end pull off the hook at 1 time and had to re clamp the end. on your flat rope did it build up high on 1 side of the spool and then go over between the drum and winch mount? I have 1 winch mounted on my front rack and I love being able to keep a eye on how the cable is wraping on the spool. Many times I been doing angle pull and have had to give out slack and build the spool back up even till line get tight again and then let it build up on the one side till it gets tight, rinse repeat till I'm out of the what ever problem that I needed the winch for.
