  1. Here’s my round oak parlor stove that we have in the cabin. Been many a times the bottom ring has been glowing cherry red. Cabin is all fixed up ready for the big gun hunt next weekend.
  2. Kind of. The blower housing in the front which is blown into the fire box of my stove just has one side open so it didn’t draw allot. I think I need to open it up or add a fan on a thermostat. The blower in the rear that blows around the fire box basically runs nonstop just to circulate air in the garage. It works good enough for a garage but could definitely be dialed in.
  3. Ohh sure. Yeah I need to figure something out with the housing in the front. The stove took some learning to figure out. I can dampen it down and it’ll burn for 12 hours but doesn’t put out much heat. But if I open it up it’ll heat like ! but can burn a big pile of wood in one day
  4. Fuel has been turned up. It would hardly idle when I reassembled. Took about 1 3/4 turns out without the limiters on the high side.
  5. I think we got this For 9.99
  6. Here’s the wrights bacon. I just ate half a pound.
  7. Here’s some pictures of my muffler mod. First couple are from my 290 fully opened up and my ms310 where I just joined the two exit ports into one.
  8. Never showed you guys my old Elroy WI wood furnace I have in the garage. 25 deg F outside and 65 in the garage 28x35 garage with insulated walls but no insulation in the ceiling.
  9. Forgot to post some of the rust along the bead. Angle grinder and wire wheel took that off in a jiffy. Make sure to clean that stuff up when changing tires or you’ll eventually get slow leaks.
  10. Does this count as a wheelie? This was on my home built turbo Yamaha Apex mtx
  11. I can't find this for sale posting any more so it must have sold. Good.
  12. They do sell a rebuild kit but don't buy a cheap china one. OEM or Shindy would be most's recommendations here.

    Weather

I hope you stay out of the path this time! On a side note, Is that "meteorologist" a drag queen? woof.
  14. My cousin has one of these. They are pretty hand for small stuff but don’t start limbing a tree and turn to the battery saw afterwards or you’ll be disappointed. At least I was. But to have around the house or on the quad for shooting lane and what not, they’re super nice.
  15. I’m starting to amass a collection of these things!!! Plus I have an 044 AV Hiding under the bench.
  16. Well I got my ms310 back together this morning and ran it through a pile of logs. She’s a runner. Here’s some reassembly and somewhat clean parts. Boy was she a dirty girl. New full chisel chain and she ate that red oak like nothing.
  17. Good day cutting wood. Now I just need someone to come stack it for me.
  18. i don't think i'm going to replace anything yet. It ran decent I just can't stand all the grime packed in the engine. Heat dissipation and change for other crap related issues could arise. I'm just going to clean everything out really well and put it back together.
  19. I figured we talk about all this a lot that we should have our own thread just for saws as well! here’s my current project. A Stihl ms310 new to me. It was a good deal and figured I could clean it up. Boy was it dirty under the covers. Got is soaking in some degreaser and I’ll clean it up tomorrow. also, see the picture of the chain below. Looks like some kind of safety chain. Is that correct?
  20. Nice lineup. I got to cut come wood tonight but didn’t grab anything but my 290. I have a 20” bar and I think it’s at its limit. A 22” bar and tree felling spikes would be nice though. matter felling a couple trees tonight I can see how those oversized spikes would be nice.
  21. I was just making a general synopsis of small engine shops prior to smoking bans. All of them around me were riddled with cig smoke and clutter. Didn't stop me from spending in them I just noticed the similarities. Too bad for the guy that went under. Hard to compete with local big box stores.
  22. They burn down because they all smoked cigs and never contained flammable liquids correctly. How many small engines that don't run right have fuel related issues. On top of that, they are always sharpening lawn mower and chainsaw blades making sparks. It's just as simple as a higher risk situation. Those are some nice saws. A 261 is my next saw now. They look and feel like one of the best all around saws in regards to power to weight and pro saw built. I say that then thing how nice it might be to have a limbing saw too... urgh, i'm getting an addiction for saws.
  23. Have you used the saw much yet? One thing i did notice is it looks to have plastic dogs? Is that true? If that were mine the first thing i would do is get some steel non-agressive dogs. not only for ease of use but also safety. Maybe they are steel and just painted white idk, you tell me. The dogs i'm talking about are also labeled as, felling spikes, bumper spikes, bucking spikes. Here's a link to something similar. https://thebloughs.net/bigger-bite-for-a-little-saw/
  24. Yeah they have some but are blessed with some decent woods nearby that don't get hit too bad. Usually someone in the group shoots a decent buck every year. by decent up there is a 16" wide 8pt
