Got another project on the bench, I should have taken some before pics but I just went to it...lol It's a 1978 Husqvarna 162se. I've had it for a few years now and finally decided I needed a bigger saw here, going to put either a 20" or 24" bar on it.

update: well, after posting to AKATV about my meter, i made a trip to catfishes bone yard today while i was out at his house this morning, removed the meter from the parts bike 450fm, all 4 studs twisted out of the back side, no big deal, did get the meter off, removed the top cover, and luck has it ( not saying much for me lately ! ) the screen is in great shape !. i do have a brand new top cover from honda to put on it, not sure if it works or not ?, will find out way later. also got the throttle cable off with the 2wd-4wd switch. it still has the front and back end drive system, i may or may not need any of this yet ?, wont know until later..but at least its there if i need it !. ( yes...all this does not cost me a dime ), but i do work with him building atvs..so we barter back and forth like this a lot. i'll post some pics of the meter i got later on when i finish putting the engine back together, and post a pic of that as well.

@jeepwm69 They make siphon guns that you could use with the parts washer and your air compressor to give a high power blast of solvent. I haven't used them in years because the shop was always smaller and it would give off a solvent mist/fog. I never used a regulator on them though so that probably would have helped. I got the sure shot in hopes it was more like an aerosol can and it is but I can also control the pressure in the can to control any back splatter that might happen. I've been happy with it for my needs. If I had the room and a lot of extra money I would have a spray wash cabinet because those things work awesome. I have neither though so I make do with what i can. lol

My shop has its own security. If you step in the wrong place you’re likely to get buried in junk

Well I got the Petcock valve changed out and tank back installed and ran it for a while, it ran rough but after adjusting the carb a bit it is running much better. Still too early to claim success but I've ridden it twice and it's running pretty good!! Thanks to all that have helped me with this issue! Next task is removing rust from Rims and replacing weather cracked / dry cracked original tires!

05-11 Foreman, 05-14 Rubicon, and 06-up Rincon brakes will also bolt on at the ball joints. You'd need knuckles, hubs and rotors, and calipers with the caliper mounting brackets. The Superatv kit is easier and cheaper unless you happen to find someone parting one of those above mentioned Hondas who will sell you the front brake stuff cheap.

do not waste your time with drum brakes, go disk brake conversion !. take my word on this, you will be very happy with front disk brakes !. yes, its a direct bolt on.

Repost from my old thread on old site. _________________________________________ I had some issues installing mine, with messed up instructions and misslabled parts, so I decided to make a tutorial once i figured it out. For referance, superATV themselves admitted that the packaging and instructions are sub-par in my old thread, You can find it here if you want: https://www.hondaatvforums.net/threads/my-experience-with-superatv-not-good.124540/#post-1238550 Hope it helps someone !
