  2. i just want to know what the decal is gonna cost ?..lol.
  3. yep, unless you take a few apart ?, you will not know where those thrust washers, shims go ?!..lol.
  4. fich pages on partzilla kinda gives ya a rough idea, but does not get into full detail !. this is where hands on comes into play, you must take a few apart, put them back together, this is the only true way you will ever learn how they go together, and of course, come apart !..lol. worse comes to worse ?, TAKE PLENTY OF PIC'S AS YOUR TEARING IT DOWN !.

    Hey gang

welcome to our forums, your in great hands here !.
  6. all i see is a bunch of stuff that looks like snow ?..lol.
  7. haha, well, just got a call from some one local, his son's birthday is coming up in march, and wants to buy it for him, we'll see ?..lol. i got the price at 2,500.00 , i will not go any lower for anyone outside of our forum members.
  8. 1500 is giving them away, this is not a 1500 atv !..lol. no, i do not have it listed on facebook, i do not mess with facebook.
  9. haha..i've got one almost like the floor board, just dont have the top corners on it, not sure what i did with it ??..lol.
  10. alittle wd-40, or whatever ya got handy for lube ?, spray it just inside the old and new boot, will make it easier to get the cables out, and back in the new boot.
  11. OP, try doing what deep says ^^^, just remove the lever bolt from the parking brake/reverse lever, as well as the brake lever, unhook the cables from both levers, pull them through the torn boot, reverse order to put back together, pretty simple process.
  12. he still has to get the revers lever undone, or he can't get enough slack in the cable. some of those bolts that hold the levers on the bars right there are tricky !..lol. he knows nothing of atv mech stuff from what hes saying. perhaps your way for him would be easier ?, do not know ?.
  13. i see you found us ?, you should post in new member area , so we know more about ya. as for the boot repalcement ?, you will need to remove the brake cable, reverse cable from the levers, then slide them out of the rubber boot. you may find it easier to do this by unhooking these from the rear brake panel, as well as the revers lever at back, lower engine. once these are unhooked ?, it will be easier to pull the cables out of the boot at the bars .
  14. here's a thought...maybe dont put it in water ??..lol.
  15. lowered price to $ 2.500.00 for members here, if ya have to make a long drive to come get it ?, i'll work with ya on price !. surely someone here wants a mint '88 trx300fw for show ??..lol.
  16. haha..you were the guy i thought of when i posted to OP, no matter what you did to your trx300 i think it was ?, you still got water in past the seals wasn't it ?. you can't stop water ?, unless you use a boat ?!..lol.
  17. as for '' water proofing '' ?, you will NEVER...ever..make that motor 100% water proof..its a known, proven fact by what i have seen in my 28 years of rebuilding atvs ( honda mostly ). there is no way in this world your going to keep water out of that engine, or anywhere else for that matter ?!. i dont care what you think will stop water, mud , what ever from getting inside the engine ?, IT WILL NOT STOP IT !. sure, you can slow it down ?, but you will never stop it. atvs are not boats, they were not designed for water, boats..yes, atv engines ?..no !. i wish ya the best in your journey, i just hope you got lots of spare cash laying around..lol.
  18. i'm saying, money wise, just run namura piston kits, no need to waste money on wiseco kits, it wont make a difference in hp gains.
  19. man, when you tear into a project ^^^, you dont mess around time wise !..lol. hats off to ya for digging in !. all that milky stuff is from being sunk. i hope you go all out, and try your best to make it water proof !. i am by no means a lake rider, mud rider, i dont have time and money to waste, to each their own though :-). as for the piston kits ?, i run namura in my builds, i dont see a reason to drop a high end piston kit name in an engine that will barely make a difference in hp ?, its not worth it in my book, you will not notice that much difference in hp gain if ya ask me ?, but..its your money, your time..do as ya wish bro :-).
  20. well thank you very much bro !, its good to have you here !. we got some great members here that deff know what they are doing when it comes to working on atvs ( honda mostly for me..lol ).
  21. no, you do not need to pull the whole engine to get to the reverse lever. you can just remove the rear engine cover ( drain the oil or raise the back up kinda high ), then you can see whats going on.
  22. thats why i baby my '89 trx350D , i know how hard the rear end is to get parts for it !..lol.
  23. i am a cheap skate as well, but on some things..i dont do the cheap way..lol
