Try pouring a trickle of gas into the spark plug hole and put a new, properly gapped NGK spark plug back in the head. Then try to start it. If it fires up and runs briefly you've got a fuel supply or a carburetion issue. If it doesn't attempt to fire up briefly it's likely that the timing chain is worn out and it's jumped time. Test the starter relay (solenoid) first after checking all of the fuses. You can jump across the two largest terminals on the starter solenoid to manually test the starter motor. Sparks will fly when you short across those terminals though... so wear eye protection and do it outdoors where nothing flammable can catch fire.

Yeah you'll probably need to use dielectric grease inside every electrical connector pair. Open the connectors and wet the terminals and the waterproofing seals in every plug you can get to with dielectric grease, to seal out oxygen and moisture and prevent corrosion of the terminals. You can get dielectric grease at most auto parts stores. Let us know how it's going....

Yeah, there are lots of decent meters available cheap and lots of garbage too. A decent usable multimeter most be rated for a minimum of 10 megohms per volt (higher is better) Impedance. Look for a minimum of 6000 counts too, higher is better. True RMS is needed for AC volts measurements. Fluke is one of the best quality brands that you can buy but the high quality and exceptional safety standards of Fluke meters makes them very expensive. There are a few decent cheap china meters manufactured by Aneng and sold on Amazon. The higher the price the better the features.... Look for an Autoranging model meeting or exceeding the above listed specs/features for sure. There are several rebranded Aneng meters for sale too. For instance, the Tougs M202+ is a rebranded Aneng, as are all of the Tougs brand meters. EDIT: A meter that is powered by two 1.5 volt AA batteries (3 volts total power supply) is better than meters powered by 4 AA batteries or a single 9 volt battery. A low voltage power supply allows you to test low voltage diode junctions like LEDS for instance, with better accuracy.

What sort of damage did you find with your wiring harness? Has your Foreman been in deep water? Does the neutral light come on?

It's opening day of archery Deer season here in the rugged northwestern UP of MI. I have stands set up for five 8 point bucks and a decent 6 point, plus a big elusive bad boy that looks like he has 12+ long and tall points, that I've scouted so far. Today the first of the five young 8 point bucks was taken, he's 4.5 years old and the same age as three of the four remaining 8s. The older 8 is 5.5 years old and has a bigger rack than the others and he's a bit more shy. There is also one large 10 point here that I haven't eyeballed yet this fall, but I'm expecting him to wander by a stand cam anytime.... From a north wind direction setup this youngster made our day!

The first breakdown occurred on my 2000 Rancher 350ES a few days ago. I went out to warm up the bike to run bait refills out to bear stands and it barely cranked over fast enough to start. I checked the battery and it measured 11.74 volts with the key off, but while it was running the charging voltage measured good. So it was just a shorted cell in the battery. Quick and easy fix.... and trust is restored that it'll carry my grand daughter back when she's out having fun on it. I wish I could afford to put together another one just like it, for her.

Piece of cake Led! You'll need to purchase a domain name and a domain mail provider, which is the easiest way to provide private mail for yourself. Alternatively you could buy a domain name and rent a server and run your own email server -- but that is a lot more work and the big three, google, yahoo and microsoft will try to blacklist your mail server IPs constantly, in an effort to force you onto one of their platforms so they can steal/datamine your personal communications. I recommend that you buy a domain name from Namecheap (cheap and they're a top-level dealer, not a reseller) and buy a domain email account from Mxroute. I can help you set those up by PM or email, or phone if you wish. Your cost would amount to about $35-$40 per year for both a domain and unlimited email accounts (POP3, SMTP and/or webmail options), which is a small price to pay for do-it-yourself privacy nowadays.

Echo saws made in Japan are reliable saws. My buddy has one that he uses as his primary firewood cutter and it's old... but still running strong. He has only replaced air filters bars and chains over the many years he's owned it, it's never broke down or failed to start.

The 2019 Rancher models were included in a defective fuel pump recall by Honda that provides a free pump replacement at dealerships. So call your dealer if your Rancher hasn't received the replacement pump. As jeepwm69 suggested bypass the fuel pump relay as that relay may have failed due to the defective pump. Also, in case you hadn't heard, aftermarket parts do not work on Honda ATVs. So stick with OEM parts throughout the life of your Rancher else ya buy twice, cry twice.

Heavy snow loading cracked the display cover on my Rancher while I was away visiting my family this past winter. When I got home I found my Rancher buried under snow and ice. The tarp held up great (marine shrink wrap) and the towel that I had laying across the handlebars to protect everything stayed dry, but the weight of the ice and snow had killed the display cover. I never seen that happen before. Fortunately new display covers are still available for the 2000-2006 Rancher FE/ES models and Honda East Toledo shipped me one $10 cheaper than Rocky Mountain ATV/MC could. 😀
