Ted, i have a great love for horses... i grew up riding ... even had a fair shair of bites, and kicks.. i actually miss riding very much! your post reminds me of a my red Appaloosa gelding, if i had him as a colt he would have never been cut! and likely produced great off spring! 17 hands ... and very much spirited. would have made a great roping horses, i believe he had some paint in his blood line.. i just can't recall that far back....

weather here in the south is about normal... now ... scattered afternoon thunderstorms , but thankfully no severe weather, or flooding... being we had a long flooding season a while back... not many have gardens this year, And the 1st cutting of hay is already late... i thought this might be a wet season to start off... i just hope later on, we will not face a dry hot summer.

hm basting grilled burgers with raw egg milk, and KK chicken flour ... this is a first for me... , now .... i have basted while grilling burgers with assorted seasons / sauces , but the best way, IMO , is to mix the raw meat with the seasons then grill. i have heard egg will make them hold together much better, bit, i prefer eggs, and milk , only in meatloaf, fish .. reminded me the best way to do burgers is to dent the raw patties.
