I'm not all up to date on the old motorcycles. They had the 300 touring and the 300 sport (leg burning exhaust up high). If I ever get time I want to get all of my dads in one place and going again (if possible). A few in storage at the shop here.

Short sawed some yellow birch, loaded and hauled up a load (planing on heading back TM) my pile isn't a large as I'd like ..... So YES I'm thankfull for this rare warm weather here's the load (unloaded now) I've got everything ready to go for TM..... I touched up then chain....and . @bcsman here's that bar pinching hackberry .... The pic was taken right at my yard fence.... So it's not all that far away, also....also... Here's that lawn trailer. So here's the 125 I have now as it was when my buddy got it. Guy wanted $100 for it, and my buddy wanted the racks and bumper for his kid's 125. Curious as to whether anyone knows if these were Hondaline, homemade, or something off of another model possibly?

The real hard one to find will be that block heater (fact) i know where i can lay my hands on all the rest (flap kit, work light, tarp, hour meter n speedo double bracket (even the big red mud flap kit) but.... I'd rather have a back tube bumper like this minus the color lol!

Got some done --- Installed the 4- Made in Japan ball joints ------------ with a little tweaking I made a 424 anti-rotation bracket out of the metal part of the exhaust clamp , I got the clamp for the rubber part , I didn't use the rubber , the metal part fit nice , going to see how a solid mount works out -------- routed the cable and mounted the control knob , the cable routing is totally different on this 1st gen then the 2- 2nd gens I have with a 424 , the winch and the snorkel both got in the way , it is minimal bends in the cable and shifts smooth Left to do , install bearings , a-arms and brake pads and she is rolling gain

The 85 TRX125 had the Z stripe decal like you have, 86 was a straight decal, 87 was a new body style that was red and white and 88 was solid red. The white on the 185s tank decal makes it the 81, 82 had a two tone blue decal and 83 had one that came down from the top and ran along the bottom of the tank.

It's a nice day here at 41 degrees and I'm hoping the temps drop off fast before the weather moves in. We are suppose to get around 15 inches predicted so far with those good 40mph winds. It's going to be a nice weekend to sit in by the fire. If we get the rain before it turns then it might become an interesting weekend. Generators ready to go and plenty of gas on hand so I'm ready for whatever it dishes out.

here is a pic of a stretched cam chain.
  13. 1 point
i'll see if i can find you some pics ? :-).
  14. 1 point
here's how to tell if the cam chain is bad ?. remove the two bolts from the tensioner, pull it out from the cylinder, if the cam chain is too far stretched ?, you wont fill much resistance on the tensioner when you go to pull it out, now try to push it back into the cylinder, it should bottom out before the tensioner comes close to the cylinder, your looking for anywhere between 5/8-3/4 inch gap before it reaches cylinder. if the tensioner goes all the way to the cylinder bolt holes with ease ?, then your cam chain is too far stretched, and needs to be replaced.
  15. 1 point
if the cam chain tensioner was loose ?, then most certainly it effects the starting !..lol. this would mean the timing is off from a stretched cam chain. you need a new cam chain. the tensioner is automatic bro, its spring loaded, once you release the screw inside it ?, it springs out, and locks into position to keep tension on the cam chain.

Yeah I have yet to track down a block heater. There isn't much mention of it in the online community. I guess not as exciting as a work light or speedometer lol

I see the term used lately to describe college aged kids, who are feeling threatened by free speech! Someone is talking about a subject that they don’t want to hear about. They then need a ‘Safe Place’ to go and recover, where no one is using free speech and talking about subjects that upset them. They are called ‘Snowflakes’ because they melt at the first hint of a confrontation. Mommy and Daddy would never let anybody talk about subjects that upset them before and now they should stop... (stomping their feet, throwing a temper-tantrum)...

id have to disagree with the above statement ..... Lol ..... I'm intolerant / prejudiced about certain things, ( like the problem with illegal drug use) but a snowflake ? I THINK NOT!! Other than frozen rain, a "snowflake" is a term used to describe an overly sensitive person who thinks the world revolves around them.

Some nice shootin' irons here guys! Have a pair of Savage 99's, and a pair of Winchester 94's . . . . These are Cooey firearms. Pair of Model 60's and a Model 75 (26" barrel) They're as Canadian as maple syrup! I think everyone owned one at one time. Decent shooters.

As the title suggests.......this was the best day ever. A few years ago we talked about our favorite things to do. I said it was a great day when I ride, shoot and smoke meat. That's what I did today.......in addition to that my two daughters were here with there husbands. That made it the best day ever. Merry Christmas everybody.

Almost all of mine were lost in a tragic boating accident. Very unfortunate. Before that I did a little smallbore shooting, and Dad did a lot of pistol shooting when he was in the Army. Did shoot down some mistletoe this weekend with the kids
