  1. sweet!! was your pop the original owner ?? because those tires look like the h-track tire that each brand new 300 came out with around my area .... sure looks as though she's been VERY well taken care of .... one thing i would do is take this clamp off, or remove the choke cable from underneath.
  2. not to sure what to make of this face .... possibly intestinal / issues parasites ?? due to having ones head stuck where the sun doesn't shine ??
  3. i don't think I've ever seen wheeler run anything stock... lol remember the chevy pickup ??

    Weather

i agree fish, this season especially here in the south has be one for the books rain wise...... and so far much colder then normal for this time of the year, i hate to think about if we had gotten this precip back during the winter.. i do wonder what this coming winter has in store for us.
  6. yeah... i caught that order up there .... ^^^ ... glad you managed to locate one... the 88 300 was always my favorite!! i know where there's a garage kept mint one... I've tried couple times to talk the man out of it... no dice yet... you mentioned pics ?? lets see her!
  7. ah! ithx! ,i take it that cdi was china made ??
  8. one tested method .... is lighty tap on the old cdi ... then try and start the bike, if the bike starts tap on the cdi again, if the bike acts up, then more then likely it's a solder joint in the unit.... some here have had good results baking these in an oven....i myself have never had to try this but... being this is the rare 88 ... might be worth it, if anything.. i would hang on to that old cdi unit.
  9. fact is, honda kinda dropped the ball designing the later models ..the fill plug as at the top, and some run a mixture of grease and gear oil lol! notice the most die hard honda utility owners here, prefer the old school machines ... and the general rule on twisted steel (right handed thread) cap bolt, is a left handed drill bit, unless there's enough to weld a nut on, as the extractors / drill kits are all left hand unless right hands are needed.
  10. IMO .. if NASCAR keeps being this boring live pd will take it's place, you might EVEN say it already has...
  11. thanks for the pics ... that's some really beautiful country!
  12. @Dredd reference to your post in (Terrain and riding styles) i eyed the edge of a tube front bumper on (i believe) a blue 300 .... can you describe, and post more pics ?? thx!
  13. i agree... their sure not going to let us forget covid anytime soon .... it's all over the news, sheesh! if people don't know now, they NEVER will!! i would imagine most feel just like you, me ... OVERLY tired of hearing about it. At least harvick got his 50th win!
  14. i hear you fish ... if it doesn't getting any better ill be watching golf right there with you lol!
  15. lol! agreed... in no way will i give up my hondaline parts stash... lol ... but i was thinking of cat fish.
  16. i couldn't imagine someone eating horse meat ... such a noble animal ... but now cows... hogs, and chickens... i can completely understand.... Ted, i have a great love for horses... i grew up riding ... even had a fair shair of bites, and kicks.. i actually miss riding very much! your post reminds me of a my red Appaloosa gelding, if i had him as a colt he would have never been cut! and likely produced great off spring! 17 hands ... and very much spirited. would have made a great roping horses, i believe he had some paint in his blood line.. i just can't recall that far back....
  17. you might try goober, or manny .... for that side cover ... I'd also drop shade a note...

    Weather

weather here in the south is about normal... now ... scattered afternoon thunderstorms , but thankfully no severe weather, or flooding... being we had a long flooding season a while back... not many have gardens this year, And the 1st cutting of hay is already late... i thought this might be a wet season to start off... i just hope later on, we will not face a dry hot summer.
  19. li wouldn't think there would be too much to worry over .... being they have full face shields .... and the spotters did social distancing ... I'm just glad NASCAR racing is back live.
