  4. maybe your old OS .... i have no issues i can't work around ... with ether the computer, or smart phone. 2002 is Purdy old...
  5. fish next time you see them .. ask them if they've ever heard of Steve Williamson ... he teaches machining black smithing and such in a couple states .... he can weld just about anything ... he was also involed in making a bridge port mill .. i take it you've heard of that old saying ... you can make a bridge port mill using another bridge port ? only fault ... he owns a honda 420 .... but at least he's told me he's wanting to upgrade ...
  6. that's mighty nice of you fish ... also makes the 1st time I've ever heard of you parting with one of your honda builds ...
  7. plus one ^^ you should see my stick welding ... it reminds me of chickens lol!
  8. yeah it sure looked medical to me ... too many lites in the eyes ... most drivers with rolling medical issues will call 911 and pull over sadly crash OR have to be forced off the road, I've seen all three happen in years of being with fire rescue ...
  9. looks good! my Cummings ended rusting / burning out (from the cat back) and went with a straight pipe ... and yep it's very bothersome .... why some guys like that racket is beyond me. it's just silly to try and make a semi tractor out of a small one ton. ... little dogs should stay on the porch ... lol
  10. lets see.. this is a copy and paste from the note pad ... you might be able to use the editor tools ^^^ to correct the font size .... some of the edit options work on my end .... but the ones that do t is due to my old OS .... not the forums ... so don't touch any screws lol!!
  11. glad you got it out .i saw this video ... about a 3rd of the way in ... he tackled that pita pinion bearing but drilling holes in the case ? i guess this is one way to skin that kitty.
  12. you might try typing it out on note pad... then it's as simple as copy paste post... no editing needed ;) lol!
  13. i wasn't sure he / she was going to stop there at the end ... I've looked into those dash cam deals ... if you've got any advise @balljoints post it .. by the way ... great thread ...
  14. geothermal is getting popular around here .... I've been told i could put a system in using the cave fed spring branch ... there is a mechanical engineer up the street that made his own setup using pond water ... I've never actually layed eyes on it...
  15. diy led uv mask .... looks like something that was dreamed up at a rave party..
  16. I'd say so.... just as a plugged radiator will / can cause issues same with cooling fins ... oil coolers etc ..
  17. hard tell here to, but i think your right , shade
  18. now .... chevy ... if i had issues I'd head to slammed i think he's an expert .. on appliance repare .... we got people here who can fix just about any problem ... lol
  19. your welcome. .... from the looks I'd say that case is a lost cause .... the people i would talk to is ether shade, fish, or toodeep.. I've never delt with a worn out atv pinion bearing ... others (yes) but not one of those...
  20. good point , fish, sure is good to have a heavy equipment mechanic around .... i know this is about penetrating oils ... but odd how no one has mentioned the ol liquid wrench ( acetylene torch ) at least for rusted nuts one can get to .... and heat is not an issue .... i would think a tad bit cheeper then expensive solvents.
  21. this kind of gives an idea of the teeth mesh between the pinion, and ring gear ... thanks for the pics ...can you post pics of the case, and pinion straddle bearing ?
  22. i miss days of hauling hay, grain, equipment, and silage ... even hauled wood chips and sand for a friend who had horses ... he's also closed down... the 1st pic .. a long nose Pete b model (all mechinical) (500 horse +) cat ... i never did find out what the top speed was ... i started out with cab over transtar big cam cummins looked exactly like this one...
  23. nice!! have ever worked with osage orange ? aka bodark .ive got some giants growing on my place ... sadly most around here don't have any use for them at all ..... except fence post and fire wood.. but IMO it's a very beautiful colored grain.
