Almost like he was trying to make people nervous to stay home Easter Sunday, and not have get togethers with friends and family.! he had me convinced to pull out generator and make sure it was ready to go for this severe weather outbreak. retro 4,049 Posted April 12, 2020 Forecast is for a storm producing 12-18 inches heavy, wet snow with N/NW winds gusting from 30-45 mph here, beginning this evening and continuing through Monday. Expecting widespread power outages and waves on Lake Superior at 16 feet. This will be the biggest snowstorm event of the winter season for us. Forecast for the Michigamme Highlands and Huron mountains west of Marquette calling for 24-30 inches of heavy wet blowing snow. If a convergent band sets up just south of the lakeshore like they usually do here during big winter storms, I could see lake-enhanced snow totals increase to18-24 inches at my place over a 24 hour period. I'm not looking forward to this one.... it'll be a lot worse than the 20 inches we got in the April blowout last year, when my backyard was levelled off with 4 foot snow drifts. Y'all stay safe!
LedFTed 1,127 Posted April 13, 2020 (edited) a very cold spring. seems during the day it might be mid 50's [i think once the temp was near 80's]. definitely not spring weather here, horses have lost their winter coat. i dont know how to keep them warm. for me, i will add an x-tra shirt while in the house. more when outside. sometimes i get up to 5 shirts. shame to wear x-tra shirts in the house. so i do. not 5, while upstairs. Steviejim 34 Posted April 13, 2020 Frost got the buds on my apple trees couple years ago and the following years the apples were pretty sparse but they were ok the year the frost hit em, I think for some reason it is the year after its affected. At least it seemed that way!
