These have just started dropping for the final markdown around here. Those Henrys are $169. The Savage Axis are $49, and the Savage Axis wood with scopes are $74. Those have a $50 rebate on them right now too (max of 5) so the synthetic guns without scopes are FREE after rebate. Those Remington 770's are $54, the 700 is $79 10/22 Takedown is $79, and the wood stock if $59. Not much left in stock at this point in the game, but if you have any local showing using those links (again, limited stock means their store inventory system says they have at least one on hand) I'd make a run. There is a chance they could be on hold for someone whose background check didn't clear, but if they told you they "sold them last week" they're lying, which is what's happening to @basfnb right now at his store. Guns are inventoried by serial number at Walmart. If they sell the gun, those BS links will drop to zero within an hour. If it shows as being there, it's either there and the employee is hiding it, or it's on hold for someone waiting on a background check. Those are the only two options on guns. My strategy if that BS happens is to find a manager elsewhere in the store, have them scan the barcode for the particular gun, and then when they say "We show one in stock" then you say "Well the guy in Sporting Goods couldn't find it, would you look for me?"

    Weather

Yep, hot and muggy here this morning. I hit the shop at 5:30AM this morning. Was already 76 with a humidity of 12000%
  3. The MAW (might as well) will give you an engine that you know is good. Peace of mind has a price LOL
  4. I don't mind metric honestly. What really sucks is on working on old Jeeps where some bolts are metric and some bolts are standard! At least stick with one or the other! Might be so "previous owner" going on some of the time, but the AMC era were mixmasters from a bunch of different companies, and the bolt selection can prove interesting at times.
  5. Obviously the parts don’t cross reference but that doesn’t mean they won’t fit.....
  6. The 2012-2013 Foremans were basically big Ranchers. Anyone know if the fenders are the same as the 07-13 Ranchers? They look the same, but not sure if they are or not. Looking at some parts nearby that are cheap. Wondering if I should grab them for spares for the wife’s OBS Rancher
  7. Well I already had another carb soaking to put on my buddy’s wheeler, so swapped that on yesterday and it runs great, so will tear that first carb back down and go through it again. Got rear fender put on, front diff and driveshaft bolted in, and gas tank and shield bolted down. Need to bleed brakes again, and put wheels and tires on it and test ride it a bit, then will finish plastics and bumpers and it’ll be ready to list.
  8. I think I have one around here somewhere. Guess I might as well use it LOL
  9. Have adjustment screw 2.5 turns out. In leans it, right?
  10. Tinkered a bit this afternoon. Got the speed sensor worked out (loose connection), front driveshaft installed, and the engine runs goid after the valve adjustment. That said, got some smoking at first. Not sure if it’s top end, oil in the muffler, or what (new crank, bored cylinder, new piston and rings). It was loping a bit at idle. Black smoke when I gagged the throttle which means running rich. The weird thing is I shut the fuel off at the tank and was just going to let it run the gas out and die, and with the fuel shut off at the tank, the lope at idle went away and the idle speed actually increased gradually. If I turn the fuel back on it starts loping at idle again. I cleaned the carburetor and went through it and everything looked OK, but I did not put a kit in it. Ideas?

Soooo, never been a big fan of Savage, BUT, currently the Axis rifles (original Axis with crappy triggers, not the Axis II) are $124 for synthetic with no scope, and $184 for wood with a scope. Savage started a $50 rebate today on all Axis rifles, so that drops the price down to $74 for the syn without scope, and $134 for the wood stock with a scope. Doesn't get much cheaper than that.
  12. Those are the kind of guys who blow themselves up and then sue the gas can manufacturer out of business. Then we end up paying $30 for a government ruined gas can.
  13. Need to take more pics. I had to put together one meter out of two. One had a busted case, the other the board looked iffy. Put the good board in the good case, and hooked it up to a booster pack and the PS light is on, and the 4wd light blinks 5 times (rear VS sensor). The clock doesn't show up partially, and the fuel gauge is dim except for the top two bars, which are dark. Everything else seemed to work. Think I might try a different sending unit and see if that changes anything on the fuel gauge, but the clock I guess I'll have to live with. Decided yesterday to crank it up. Hooked it up to a new battery and it fired off very quickly. PS light was no longer on so a good strong battery must have fixed that issue. The 4wd light is still blinking, so I'll rob a speed sensor off one of my other front diffs and see if that fixes it. Valves were loud as all get out, so I shut it back down, and went out early this morning and adjusted the valves to spec. Once I get the blinking 4wd light fixed, I'll just need to re-bleed the front brakes, put the plastics, racks, and front bumper on, and then take it for a spin. At the rate I've been working that will be at least another week's worth of work LOL

They didn't appear to be moving too fast. It was like "Huh, would you look at that" as it rolled on top of him.
  15. You must be the one who bought the tan 300 and then it got bent up?
  16. There's an 87 for sale on Arkansas ATV trader on facebook in Jasper Arkansas, which is up in North Central Arkansas. Probably an hour south of Branson. Be a long haul for you. Guy wants $550 for it, and the fenders are a little rough. I'd get on your local facebook ATV trading pages and put out a WTB. That seems to be where most of the buying/selling happens these days
  17. I press the bearing into the case, then press the crank into the bearing. Pics here
  18. https://www.superatv.com/honda-utility-atv-rear-disc-brake-kit That's what Fish has. You'd need to convert it to hydraulic for it to work, but you could use it. The stretch would simply require a longer hydraulic hose.
  19. Beautiful scenery out there, and that renovation looks pretty too.
  20. Man I would LOVE to walk through all that old stuff.

I can see it. Probably have to be a bookface member of Honda Hoarders to see it.
