  1. I've seen these things bring some really good money so if you sell it cheap just make sure its someone that will use it. If they are just going to flip it then you might as well make the money.

    Vacations...

Believe it or not my vacations are just going camping/riding with family and friends for a week. The kids talk about it all year long and can't wait to go. I love it because there's no cell service and its not the typical go, go, go kind of thing. I actually get a chance to sit back and relax.
  3. My home state and there are some good riding trails out in the black hills in the area Mount Rushmore is. The rest of the state is pretty much private land or pay trail parks. I have some pics of riding out in that area but I still need to get them from the photobucket hostage situation. Point of the post was I had a few pics of the monument from before and during the making of it to share with you all. I'm guessing not many have visited but in the past I've came across a few that have. I just thought some might find them interesting.
  4. I'll look through my collection once I'm on the computer and see if I have any to contribute to the list.
  5. Good to see you made it @balljoints. I have a friend that way. Call, text, send smoke signals and nothing but send a snap and it's an instant reply.

    Weather

Some of my back yard. Temps are dropping and the wind is picking up.
  7. Today's cook, just waiting for everything to get to temp.

    Weather

Right at 33 degrees and heavy wet snow here. I think I pushed the 4 inches we was suppose to get twice and it's still coming down. We had the freezing rain last night but it warmed up enough all the ice came off fast enough to cause no issues. I didn't feel like pulling out the generator.
  9. The kill switch on the left handlebar switch needs to be in the run/middle position.
  10. First question. Do you need that very little extra power?
  11. It was either your favorite type or what size can my stock rancher handle.. lol
  12. 2013 420FPM was the machine and that's net wrap (hay bales) on the axle that also got replaced. I figured I could get a cleaner machine for that write up.
  13. I still need to do away with the blocks on my adjustment screws so I can get a complete adjustment out of them. It's bad enough that I have to have a kit of different drivers to adjust all the different screws they use and then they block it so you can only do so much. They plug them on the carb 4 wheeler also so it's more work to do a 2 second adjustment. I guess the people in suits know more than the people in the field, like these junk - fire hazard gas cans we have now.
  14. Yes, just use a jumper wire and connect the brown/red and green wire at the connector. If you have a wire feed welder it has about the perfect size wire to fit in the terminals.
  15. What's everyone's favorite tire to use and terrains it's used in? I run mudbugs on one machine and for a mixture of terrain but more on the muddy side they have been one of my favorites. I also have Bearclaw HTR on the sxs and one rancher and they do good also. I was kind of surprised how good they do in the mud/sand/snow. I've used many different tires over the years and those 2 are my favorite ones. The stock trackers on the 400 foreman was one of my favorite stock tires. I ride down the road (gravel and paved), hard pack trails, sand, mud, snow, ice, swamp and pretty much everything. My machines have different uses so they all have different tires on them but some do double duty so they need to do everything as well.
  16. If you was close to me it takes about 5 minutes to do it with the computer but if your paying $120/hr labor rates your not close to me.
  17. I was replacing a front output shaft seal on a customer machine so I thought I would take a few pics of the process since it's a pretty common issue. I'm hoping everyone keeps their machines cleaner than this one. First thing to do is jack up the front of the machine and remove the front wheels. Then remove the mounting bolts on the front final drive so it can be slid forward. This model has the upper mount that also has to be removed to get enough clearance. You'll have the upper, rear lower and on certain models front mounting bolts and brackets. Once that is done you can slide the front final drive forward. Most of the time you can just grab both inner axles and pull it forward. You might have to position the handlebars just right so the tie rod ends clear and also use a pry bar to give it that little extra to get the drive line loose. Once it's forward enough the coupler on the motor side is spring loaded. Slide it forward enough to unhook it from the output shaft and move it to the side or remove it completely. Remove the o ring from the shaft and use a pick, old screwdriver, screws or whatever you have to pry the old seal out. . Once it's removed and everything is cleaned up it's time for the new seal (found under the final shaft section of a parts finder). I have some shrink tubing that I use to protect the seal from the grooves in the shaft when installing it. You don't have to use anything or wrap it with the plastic the seal came in just to take the chance of damaging it away. Find a socket/pipe the size of the outer edge of the seal to use as a driver (you can also use the old seal against the new when installing it to add a level of protection, unless it's really damaged from prying it out). Once the new seal it in install the o ring on the output shaft and reinstall everything in reverse order.
  18. It's being talked about in the back end but waiting on a few members to get here that had them. I didn't have anything that new in my collection.
  19. Welcome to the forum. If its flashing any codes I would write them down just for future reference if the reset doesn't work. The EPS light will have 2 different blink patterns when giving the code, a long blink and short. 2 long blinks and 1 short gives a code 21 (2x10= 20 +1 = 21). It will have a pause between each code it gives if there is more than one. You can retrieve them also by using a jumper the same as below but install the jumper, turn key on and read codes.
  20. They both work but show all activity (showed me adding to members map). Every post in the same thread is listed separately so the list can get long.
  21. I loved garlic but about 4 years ago my body changed with age and now it gives me send you to the hospital heartburn. Even garlic powder about kills me which is sad. Needless to say, I'd still sit down and eat with you. It looks good.
