This time of the year my usual inside hobby is reloading centerfire ammo but with components being either non existent or way over priced, my reloading bench has been converted to building plastic models. The desk in the loft sits right next to a window so a fan and ducting were made to allow a way to exhaust the paint and glue fumes. Model building has been something I've enjoyed on an off since a small kid. About 20 years ago a small hobby shop was going out of business so I stocked up on some kits. Here's a few.

I have studded tires here, but you can get tire wires that work good on ice . nothing beats a set of tire chains tho.....lol

Had an ice storm overnight here. Got at least 1/4 inch of ice. I have a 4WD truck and am used to driving in the snow, but a coating of ice made for a scary drive to work. I had all 4 wheels spinning going up a 1/2 mile long hill. The scary part is trying to stop at the bottom.

Not finding anything on the market to suit my needs, I built this for my M1A some years back. Muzzle pointed down to the right because when riding on two way trails, it points away from traffic. I don't ride with a round chambered, but in case I forget, I put a metal plate there to deaden a bullet if accidentally discharged. I put foam in where it sits so the rifle sits snug and mounted rubber tube on the bottom of the base to prevent rattle and shock. I can mount the whole rig on either rack and in different positions. I carry this in addition to my primary hunting .338 winmag rifle in a Kolpin carrier. I like I can get to it quick for sudden encounters by a grab and flip of a bungie. Bears for example. "Jippo rigged" as my logger father would say, but it suits my needs. I have a picture on my profile page with this config on my Ruby. Downside, it gets mud on the muzzle, so I have a little polyester sleeve I put over it sometimes. Once I lost control of the old King Quad it is pictured on. It rolled over 7 times down a hill and broke the stock. Ran with a folding stock for awhile but didn't like.

Hi guys I think I might have it fix, I removed shift motor and took it apart and one of the brushes was stuck, I cleaned it all up and put back together it seems to be working no neg coming up yet , I guess I will soon find out when the guys gets it back and use it. I keep u updated thanks guys for the help.

I like the M1A! Most of my riding is with a shotgun, and I just tuck the muzzle in, pointed down, inside of my right foot. That's how I get to and from the duck hole. Case is neoprene so mud/water doesn't get through it, and I hold it in place with my leg. Of course, I don't have far to go to get to the duck hole (about 1/4 mile from my house). About the only other thing I carry on the wheelers is a 22, and I have a 10/22 Takedown for that. Just strap the case to the front rack with bungees. Father in Law has one of those Kolpin jobs. They're nice, but they're HUGE

I also build and fly RC. With all the additional regs it's getting to be a PITA to fly a few of my larger planes. Over half come in under the weight limit so I can still fly them without worries of the Black Gunships coming to shoot me down. Yeah, time to change the screen name since Sierra was sold a few years back. Had a screaming good partnership going for quite a few years. I have thought many times about a kitbuilt plane but now that I have the time I plan to do some serious downsizing here real soon. How in the world can you keep track of that little boat at those speeds? My RC planes are electric slow fliers. It's all you can do to keep from throwing rocks at them when they fly by😉

11 degrees here. Grabbed this shot from my front yard of the red sky over frozen Saratoga lake at 7 am. Supposed to get 3-6" of snow today and tomorrow. Looks like we could get more though.

Started snowing before sunrise this morning, quit about 30 min ago, 9-10 inches total. Went out at noon and pushed for 3 hours, I'd bet two plus inches fell during the time I was pushing. Will go out in the morning to push the balance. Pushed my neighbors drive, his wife baked up a loaf of a desert bread with pecans and brought it over. I have told them numerous times they owe me nothing, but it doesn't pay to argue with them. It sure was good!

WM soldering is the only way to be sure, just do it right

You got me to go look at my 450s , I don't have that 2nd fuse holder with the 2 - 30 amps fuse on neither of my 450s , my 2000 450S ( FM ) foot sift doesn't have it --- so I looked at the wiring diagrams of ES and S(FM) , and that 2 fuse box seems only on the ES models , so it would seem it has something to do with ES , but it doesn't even show up on my wiring diagram for a ES --- also I see that 30 amp fuse that is by itself in the wiring diagram , so it is factory and goes to the starter solenoid and the rectifier , there is also a tap before the fuse that send power to the lights

Thanks for the links Wilson, will check them out when I have a chance. Concerning vibration, I screwed on some rubber tube under the base to dampen things out. Stops the annoying sound of the rounds rattling in the mag. That said, this is an un-scoped battle rifle. Used as a club as it's secondary function.

A pic from me wouldn't do you any good , mine is a S and it has been modified ----- I have seen Honda use connections like the one on your wire , I'd say thats OEM

derf has a 99, Bcs has a 98, and Ted has a 00 ... you might check with them, i couldn't locate a pic.

So I peeled back the white covering and some black gooey crap. I dont think I've seen a connection like this before.

Man my head grew 3 sizes! He called me a guru hahaha. So you have a clog somewhere in your oil system. Most likely place is the screen in the bottom of the oil tank. The lower line screws onto a removable bung that has the screen built into it. Remove the lower line then remove the bung. My bet is the screen is clogged up bad.

mine works just fine, and if i have to leave the bike ... leaves my hands free .... also having a shoulder scabbard .... the gun is not on rack to get smacked by limbs brush etc ... but i treat this one like i do all guns new and my old antique guns very carefully! besides my pistols .. this is my go to problem solver, but if i choose to hunt, i can usually step out on the pouch and pic one off, lol. no bait needed. bit of a topic change, so.... you might also heck these threads for gun carrry ideas https://atvhonda.com/topic/170-forum-hunters/ https://atvhonda.com/topic/174-firearms/

i use this shoulder scabbard ... i hardly ever use the gun mount on the front, but the scabbard will fit, water proof, easy to pull the gun out while it's over my shoulder, or in the rack, as for my other long guns... i don't hardly ever take them out of the gun safe... not to happy with the vibration to the scopes having one mounted right in a gun case, or rack, with no padding but this way mine never sees any mud, water (except on the stock) i see yours is foam cushioned nice option, Tim.

I did get the maul too. Don't like it. I use the x27 to split smaller chunks, and I still go back to the wedges and sledge to break up the big rounds. Both the x27 and the wedges/ sledge hammer are easier to use and split better than that heavy maul.

My soldering skills leave a lot to be desired. LOL I end up getting solder all over everything BUT the connection. That is actually exactly what happened a couple of weeks ago when my buddy wanted me to look at the winch on his kid's wheeler. And that clip was loose, and wasn't making a good connection. I yanked it off, cut the wires, tied them together, and then taped them up good.

Nice collection of planes !!! All electric no gas ? As far as seeing the boat in motion , the water has to be dead calm/glass to run wide open , it has so much torque it will jump out the water and spin , so it really ain't that bad see it when it is calm , it will run in a chop as long as you slow it down a bit ---- ran it a lot in the private pond for RC boat that use to be here in Slidell , they have since sold the property and shut down the pond , it was nice , they had races , with Grand Stands , score boards ---one of the members was a State trooper and he use to shoot the speeds --- To run races , they penalized me , because it is a 40 class fiberglass hull , with a OPS Red Head 067 engine , so I had to run in the open class and against the 90s and even double 60s or double 90s ---- I have the OPS 040 and 060 engines for it also ---- my best times were running an exhaust throttle set up , but it was very messy with the fuel , like you say with the plane regulations now days , the EPA would be all over my butt for the clean water act after a run using the exhaust throttle ------ and I got run off from so many lakes as it is loud , like a 500 cc two stroke dirt bike with no baffle , it throws a rooster tail about 80 ft long and 15 ft in the air , burned 35% Nitro

I wouldn't carry my rifle in sling mode either. Seems clunky and a way to make a mistake or get damage. When driving to my stand in the morning, it would be too dark to actually hunt, but back to the cabin for lunch and back to my stand for the evening hunt I do go by some good spots. However, I am always thinking that if I see a nice buck that's within range that I'd stop and consider it. Would this really happen? Chances are low, actually.

@56Sierra very nice work !! --- I like your paint booth ----- I was into plastic models when I was a kid , built cars , trucks and some boats , but never did do a plastic plane ---- built a few R/C planes , remember one , spent 100 hours building it and on the first flight , never seen it again I figured out your alias name , it is your tail numbers ---- you ever thought of building a flying plane from a kit ? Still got this toy since I was 18 ---- 87mph was the best I did with it

The amount of contact area between the wire and the squeeze taps is so minimal , it is just the width of the blade inside the plastic I see those taps a lot on trailers If you want to do a crimp butt connection there are 3 and 4 way crimp able connectors , but you have to cut the wire and then they are a little mess to tap up and then take up room

You can see the two 30amp fuse box and the one 30amp fuse holder in this pic ( in the V of the harness to the left and up of the #19 by itself ) , the 3 #19s they are 30 amp fuses

It'll have to wait until this weekend when I have time. It is weird though when I pulled the fuse it started shifting again

That second vid was a great review. I use the 8 pound maul primarily with some smaller axes my kids use. Being 6-0, that X27 Sled has looks like something I need add to my collection.

I agree with jeep. I've used them but not a fan. When I have used them, I've squeezed the blade down with pliers, then clicked the lock flap down and then secured it with a small zip tie so the flap cannot come up and the blade wiggle out. Even then, it's not the best. On a positive note, when the accessory that you run off of them eventually quits, you can grab the connector, squeeze it and know immediately if that is where the problem is. lol

Installed at second plow on my 86 TRX350 —intended for my other 86. and then installed a gun carrier on my CanAm.

You need to "justify" buying tools? lol I have so many tools I have only used once and some I haven't yet. I see something I think I might need and then it's justified.

LOL. I was joking, since none of the utility wheelers most of us have have a manual clutch on them. Hydraulic is nice. I have hydraulic on my Accord I drive to work every day. My Jeeps and old truck have linkages, and the clutches aren't nearly as smooth and easy to work.
